Wow I see big Heifetz influence. I love it.

Definitely. It’s like he studied the masterclass 1 video on UA-cam where Heifetz was teaching this piece. I wish I could find a full recording of this polonaise played by Heifetz.

I was privileged to hear the late Henryk Szeryg perform this live in recital almost 40 years ago..This is as good if not better than Maestro Szeryng..Szeryng was Polish, but a Hungarian does it as well!! WONDERFUL!!

Did he win a prize? From what I remember he was a finalist but didn't get a prize... What a shame! This guy is definitely my favorite out of all the finalists, because he plays with such musicality, warmth and maturity.. and he reminds me of Oistrakh! :)

Only thing I’d like is a bit more sound on the piano when it has the melody in the F major portion. The violin was flawless. Wish I could play that beautifully.

not exactly "any" i suppose, coz really cheap ones really can't produce that sort of tone with such texture, some of them even can't produce any sound at really high-pitched notes. So a high quality instrument is always necessary for good music.

If your looking at the performer your probably too judgmental for serious music appreciation.
