Pharis and Jason Romero are pure craftspeople. A renowned banjo builder, Jason spent years developing his own personal designs, and on Tell ‘Em You Were Gold, his handmade instruments take center stage. Over a half dozen uniquely crafted banjos are played by the duo in the course of the album. There’s conviction and delicacy in this music, which ranges from duets that showcase the pair’s deep psychic and artistic connection to solo banjo meditations and full band romps. Recorded over six days in an old barn in Horsefly, British Columbia, the album displays the multiple Juno Award-winning duo playing music that is honest, direct, and reflective of life’s beauty and knottiness.

Awesome version of this song!
Love to get the banjo tab on this
beautiful
right on, thank you!
Brillant
Love it!!!
thank you!!
Fine version if a favorite. Brings back the rendition by Stu nephew Jamison for Elektra's Banjo Project of decades ago brilliantly. That one was produced by SF Producer Peter K. Siegel. Stu was a nephew of the great Margaret Mayo.
thank you so much. really looking forward to looking up the version you mention!
Brilliant
thank you very kindly!
And John Reischmann on mandolin for a bonus.
It would be great if someone could i.d. all the musicians! Thanks for the start...
Love from Australia! This is so good!
Stunning!
Love this - but I think the lyric is "Mama and Papa..little sister makes three" -- not "little sister Mcfee" unless I am possibly much mistaken! ...but thanks for providing the lyrics in the first place - appreciate it!
Is there any chance someone can tell what tuning he is using for this rendition of All Around This World? I would be so grateful to know.
Relative tuning is fDGCD.
I don't know why, but it made me want to play Red Dead Redemption 2.
what do you think it means when the singer keeps repeating, I've been all around this world?
