I have a Squid Industries Krake Raken v2.5 trainer, the one thing I noticed in this video is that the zen pin nipple (where the pins contact in the open position) is much more pronounced, and squared in the clones than in the original. The Krake Raken is built for comfort, and ease of flipping. I actually tried to get mine to pinch, and mostly just succeeded in crushing my finger, the only part where it has managed to grab my skin a bit is where the blade goes into the channel, and I've only had that happen once in the several months I've been using it.
What blade will fit the OG Krake Raken V3 Handles with squid hardware, just bought blemished handle set and hardware from squid, they don’t sell only the blade as a individual item which sucks but I need to know out these clones which blade will fit best?

As of now most likely, but as these clones start to upgrade their 6 series aluminum to the 7s it might be hard unless you have an authentic next to the clone. And to give the clone makers some credit they normally call their knife a clone they just claim the materials are what they say but that can definitely be disputed.
great video and comparison, not sure why nobody has done this yet. i will say from a flipper point of view i think the baliplus kraken has way better grip atleast on the handle texturing (not the jimping, sucks on both. atleast on the genuine squid 2.5 kraken i owned) if you swapped the bushings, washers, pivot screws for genuine ones on the baliplus kraken especially the tanto/bowies they have you're in for a good experience especially as a beater. that being said the quality of squid industries is unbelievable and in the department of lasting a long time or tolerances they're unbeatable, but that's what u pay for with the price.
I’ve had bali plus and armed shark and I can say nether of them sound nor flip like the real kraken ended up selling my armed shark and using the Bali plus as a beater and also ended up buying a second kraken but this time with hourglass definitely recommend just saving the money and getting the real deal. No tap no play. Keeps a tune and flips great
I was going to do one and had to chance to grab a live Squid last wk on the BHQ drop but, times are tough, and I have a lot of $$ wrapped up in these customs I'm trying to cash out on. Also I just cant get motivated to drop 300 on aluminum and ABEL steel, I am kinda a knife snob, and my collection is just half balis. I rather buy that Prometheus Bali or of same quality and do a review on that. I'M sure though ihe live blades are exact same with the trainers as weight and feel. It would be more just a comparison on the blades as for steel quality.
I'm not anti clone, but the kraken clone I got about a year ago is total dogshit. A used squidtrainer might be twice the price but it's a much better value. If you hate balisongs you can sell it for no loss as well. If you love ba li I songs, it's a great trainer and beater.
Pretty cool video I have all the ones you have except the orange one. I agree about not buying straight from China I buy fron from US sellers that have then already. The US sellers of course usually charge you double sometimes triple. So that kinda bothers me. I will however rather pay double just so I don't have to wait till I'm 75 years old to get the dam thing from China. But here in the US our economy is fucked. The greed in the US is just ridiculous, soon enough most people will be homeless and and no one will be buying enough knives to keep the US sellers in business, just saying

I can either afford baliplus and theone clone. So 3 days ago i bought the baliplus, and it's legit af!! Idk when i can get the real krake raken. It just so hard to get in my country.
I would think all the clones have pros and cons. I like the one version because you can tighten the zens and the weight distribution I feel is better. Bali + and Shark both feel a little light to me, but you can put Squid HW on them. So it's all personal preference. Thanks for watching! 😎
