This show is getting too politcal. Bring back the old days of 15 year mortgages only with 20% down required and the $1000 emergency fund was enough to cover emergencies
Finances is directly related to politics. The average person can only build wealth in a capitalist society. So their advice only works if their political philosophy is in effect.
The reason why we have in God We Trust on the money is because someone demanded it be there, not because there was some belief that money was spiritual. That's a causality fallacy. My spiritual side is actually against having "In God We Trust" on the dollar because "Trust" is a financial term, and our money is indicating that God = Trust, which would to be saying God = Mammon. Now I don't think that money is the root of all evil, but desperation is. Desperation for fame and fortune are perhaps the greatest desperations, which is why money and popularity are usually seen as evil instead of desperation.
This also applies to the Pledge of Allegiance. The original writing of the Pledge (pre-1954) did not include the words "Under God". That part was only added because of the Red Scare and communism.

Total cost to end homelessness in the US: $20 billion (official Dept of HUD stat)
Let's start by taking 2.4% of the US's annual defense budget to end homelessness (one-time cost). Seems like a good place to start.
I think your numbers are wrong. Musk has said if it's really that low to stop homelessness, he would pay for it himself if politicians came up with a plan to actually stop homelessness and provided him updates as they ended homelessness. The politicians never got back to him.
If you think homelessness will be solved by throwing money at the problem, you know nothing about homelessness.
@@user-zu6fe9nk6u Throw $20 Billion at the homeless, and $15 Billion of it will be in the hands of drug dealers within a week.
@@libertarian4323 Bam, that's the answer right there.
@@libertarian4323 well the current approach of doing nothing and occasionally arresting them seems to be working well.
Kindly identify your guest, Rabbi Lapin in the description of the video.
THE best Ramsey video in recent memory. PLEASE bring your guest back for further discussion.
Excellent!!! Bravo!!!
This video earned a like from me. Good way to look at money
💯👍🏿 Young man alot of what we call Game is in this Video!

What an excellent conversation.
More wisdom of the ages! Thanks Dave!

90% socialists
10% communists.
And how many of them are atheists?
Not all athiests believe the way the rabi portrays us. I believe in hard work. I can say that a good bit of athiests do adhere to what he says. So I will give him that. This man is intelligent.
Absolutely brilliant, I would love to hear more of him ❤️
Kia828?
Cant believe this Guy literally hasnt chanegd since he once
embarassed-himself-into-the-ground by just 'insulting-around' when it comes to Socialists.
I cant believe this Guy isnt just 'clueless af about this Topic' but genuinly has

Replay! This is excellent! We needed at least one hour of him! My God!!! Thank you! 🌻
I have to read Rabbi Lapin's book! This is a great clip.
Yes
More of this please!
wow, thats deep, whole new way of looking at income, many thanks.
So many nuggets of wisdom!
This is a terrific explanation of the difference. Wow!
Honestly, this is probably my favorite interview on your show... Ever! Amazing content and great lessons! 👏🙌☺️

I remember hearing about the concept of taking money without earning it a long time ago... Now I remember, we called it the collection plate at church.
I'm not religious, but the plate to me is about compensating the church for it's part in centering you, guiding you, helping you, etc.
@@yarrdayarrdayarrda In all fairness to your post, parents have a great deal to do with what you just said.
@@jeanc819 So you make your choice, much like a meal. Do it from home for free, or off to a church and pay for the convenience of having someone else perform the task. 👌
@@yarrdayarrdayarrda That's the beauty of it all. Everyone should be able to freely decide what is best for them. Cheers!
I guess you don’t know people who were able to buy food and rent because of church donations. Not that all churches and those who attend are good, not at all, but there are some benefits of the community
This is probably the best guest you’ve ever had Dave. Absolutely brilliant 👏
These gems are priceless!! Thanks for sharing
This is a good conversation.
However I don't believe it's ethical for a billion dollar company to only pay its workers 15$ an hour or pay minimum wage.. Then get a bailout when things don't go the company's way.
If the workers agreed to that amount, there's no issue. Politicians deciding to bail them out when their inept leadership screws up is a problem. It's a political problem.
Start your own company and show us how to do it
I'd like to see more of these 'round-table' talks....maybe in a less-desk atmosphere and more open dialog. It shouldn't be a sin....to be successful. Wish you'd do a full series on Milton Friedman and his wisdom.
Lol a rabbi saying "brothers from anotha mother"
Finally a conversation on this channel.
Well said Rabbi.
We need another interview but longer 👏🏾❤
I admit I really didn’t watch the video, too many words without anything being said. What I will say is this: I do not agree with the modern thinking that “what is yours is mine, and what is mine is mine.”

"Atheiests can't understand money because they are not spiritual" weird way of admitting the church is there to separate people from their money, but here we are.
I can listen you both all day thank you sharing this wise words
Dave needs to replace half of his 'personalities' and their collective big bag of nothing with this guy
Especially that new guy with the glasses. Complete snore
The personalities are there to bring revenue to the company. Period. They provide very little in terms of knowledge or practical wisdom. As long as ppl are buying their books and products, they will be around. It’s business.
@@amanirosefoundation I just don't think they have enough to keep the empire going. After Dave is gone, how many Radio Stations are going to go with The Ken Coleman show in prime evening hours?
@@rothbj1 yeah that's the real issue. To answer your question, zero. And I think Dave and everyone knows it. Maybe they're hoping they stumble across a real personality, no pun intended. But even then, no one with star power will work under Ramsey, not that there's anything wrong with the company but they would go independent or with a bigger network.

Sadly 🐑 don't understand this.
Serve people things that exploit their poor discipline (voluntary), e.g., gaming tech, tabaco, sugar, prn, and hidden fees: $100k > low IQ bum stealing $10.
Gotta admit, I did not expect Ramsey and guest to step through a pretty-good argument for the elimination of copyright, patent, and other "intellectual property".
Is stephan kinsella in the house?
That's not what they said at all.
Worth listening to. Thanks

I took offense to the atheist remark. Because I am an atheist and I follow Dave Ramsey‘s money methods and they have worked for me and I Donate to organizations as best I possibly can so that atheist remark is quite offensive.
