2012, my fiancee and I went on a shopping spree for Christmas and bought a use Nintendo Wii and 300$ of other things. We were left with 5$ in our account. We had to live off grilled cheese for a week but we made it through and shortly after got on to Dave. We're now baby step 7 in a paid off house
I think you are missing the point about the original post. Who cares if she has a typo; She just paid off her house! Congrats! That is just my two cents. Lol
I bought a motorcycle within 24hrs of getting my endorsement. Guy didn’t have the title, told me he would use my money to pay the bike off and send me the title… never happened. Three years later I had to take him to small claims court and am garnishing his wages to get my money back. Getting $5k back at like $300 a month is BRUTAL.
I had a similar issue where i wanted to sue the crap out of someone who has nothing. But I would spend $3-6k on a civil suit, win maybe $10-100k (probably less cause she is poor and judge would consider that), and then get a big $100/mo for next 10-20yrs in garnished wages.
happened to me as well, paid 2,500 no title. I was young. Found out I could register in Vermont and transfer the plates to IL, got a title and was all set. It was a 250cc so it didn't require an officer inspection to see if it was stolen.
I am so glad there are people willing to share their stories. While my friends have the bigger houses, new kitchens, nicer cars and designer handbags, shoes and all kinds of beauty treatments, I have my monthly statements to look at and appreciate that we have made an effort to avoid keeping up!
My car started stinking . Like dead animal smell. I couldn’t see to find the smell I looked all over! (So I thought). Everything I read online said it was probably my cabin air filter. So I went to have it replaced for about $180. I cleaned my car probably 3 times. Well the smell was still there. For at least 2 weeks. it was so bad every time I got into the car I would gag. Well I went to Sam’s club for some things, I popped my trunk and the smell hit me. It was my son’s lunch box …. With Two half eaten green moldy hard boiled eggs 😅 I felt so stupid.
I could be wrong but last I checked an in cabin air filter is usually accessed through the glove compartment and costs like $20, just for the next time 😂 I can relate though - I lost a raspberry in my car and still to this day I haven't found it's remains
I spent over $3,000 on about 10 pairs of the latest Nike running shoes thinking it would help me get in shape and lose some weight. I lost 30 lbs, ran a 3:19:22 Marathon at 48 years old, and actually qualified for and ran the Boston Marathon last year. Most people would say I am nuts for spending that much on running shoes but those same people have no idea the level of effort it takes to qualify for the Boston Marathon.
@@iSkateFast it takes motivation and people find that motivation in different ways. I started reviewing shoes on my UA-cam channel and that turned into a hobby. Experimenting with the shoes kept me motivated to run every day and eventually got me to the level I wanted to be at. $3,000 worth of shoes won’t automatically make you a great runner but it certainly can help motivate you to run more if you are passionate about it.
Family member withdrew their entire 401k to invest in Korean crypto. They were then told they had to pay taxes on the gains up front so they got a Heloc to pay the taxes. Never heard from the “investors” again. Their money is gone.
Can confirm. We have 2 acres and sheep and chickens. We have never grown enough vegetables or fruit to live off of. We spent every evening this week butchering and packaging one of our sheep. It's bloody, tiring and dirty. There is chicken poop all over our front porch because the chickens like cat food. Our homegrown eggs cost more in time and feed than buying the expensive ones from the store, and people expect us to hand them out free by the dozen. Been here 10 years and the concrete jungle with a grocery store across the street sounds so heavenly lol. I would just miss my privacy 😂
@mycupoverflows7811 2 acres is not enough for that. I grew up helping farm a 5 acre vegetable garden; with mules and later ponies. It was work every day; about 4 hours in the garden and 2 hours with the animals. Then an unknown number of hours fixing stuff. Sometimes it was zero and we went fishing(for fish to eat the evening) and sometimes my grandad was still working on something after dark. He was also a commercial chicken farmer, so that equipment was a lot of that time. He took one vacation in the 10 years that I remember the chicken farming. His brother watched the farm when we went to Washington DC. Other than that he was only gone from home for one night at a time. My first memory of farm life was laughing and chasing chickens who were flopping after having their heads chopped off. I was around 3 or 4 years old and distinctly remember blood on my arms and face and my great grandmother laughing(which I later learned rarely happened after her husband died). I feel so lucky to have grown up with this perspective. I'm getting ready to go back to the farm, but I have no illusions as to what that means...lol
@diggernash1 honestly we are living here and doing this for pur 6 homeschooled children to grow up like this. Bare feet in the pasture, chasing chickens, watching kittens get born, incubating chick and duck eggs and raising/selling the birds, etc. It has been an experience, both good and bad. My husband works a full time job making 6 figures so our version of "homesteading " is definitely a side hobby.
@@mycupoverflows7811 Y'all have it figured out. I wouldn't change a minute of my time on the farm. It was hard, rewarding work that taught responsibility from the time I could walk. Having animals that were my responsibility to feed and then slaughter to feed family members taught me that you could care for animals and complete their purpose without guilt. Running in the woods, bringing squirrels home for supper alone at 8 years old made me feel like I was contributing. My grandmother always took them with a smile after I skinned them. It was life and then I got sidetracked with a profession; now I'm ready to just go home and get as far away from civilization as possible for my last 30 years or so.
I wouldn’t say people stopped that long ago. I have older cousins in their 60s who grew up not going to supermarkets. The family produced all of their own food or bought from neighboring farms. Also hunting, fishing. My cousin told me “slavery was rough”. I said you guys weren’t slaves. He said “felt like it”.
My husband and I make a lot of money and his thing is designer loafers my thing is nothing. I still shop for clothes at Walmart. I only some designer things become my husband gifted them to me. Otherwise I could care less. But when you work hard and debts are paid you should be able to treat yourself if you wish.
We did $70K cash out refi for IVF at 3.75% fixed. We were able to claim some of it on our taxes as medical costs. Some may call it stupid, but that boy is my world.
Went on a shopping spree for my bf of 2 week cause it was his birthday the next week and he said he didn’t have any good clothes to wear. Spent $1k on brand name clothes and shoes. Two days later after his birthday found out he was cheating on me. Money wasted but a good lesson learned. 😂
Well... the lesson only costed $1000. Could have been more money and many years in. Pat yourself on the back, hold your head up high and keep it moving. Don't feel bitter... the next guy will be much better. Next boyfriends birthday just take him out for a birthday dinner and suggest he does the same. No need going in debt for birthdays. ❤
Me and two buddies went to see Black Label Society at a little club downtown Denver. Parking around the venue was quite limited and rather than pay the 8 bucks to park in a neighboring business’s parking lot, I parked my car at the Wendy’s a block away and went to the show. Came out a few hours later to find my car was gone. Had to get a cab to go down to some dingy tow company lot at 1 in the morning and pay $300 for my car. After 8am the next day, the price would’ve jumped to $500. Stupid tax of $300, plus cab fare, plus my wasted time when here I could’ve gotten by for only 8 dollars had I not been so stupid and cheap. Most expensive metal concert for me ever.
My stupid tax was keeping my first house one month after buying my second. Because of that, I didn't have money for the down payment so I put nothing down and signed up for 25 years mortgage... I still pay that price right now. The equity I made with the first house, I put towards renovations in my second house and a new motorcycle. Found the Ramsey show after all that.
The most memorable stupid tax I've ever paid wasn't even the highest dollar amount. As a freshman in college looking for work, I answered an ad in the newspaper selling study materials for the test to become a mail carrier. The ad said how much you could make at that job, and sounded pretty reasonable (just pay shipping!). When I called them, shipping turned out to be $100. And do you know what my response was? Not, "this seems fishy." No. I said, "Wow, that must be a really big book!" It wasn't. And I found out later that I could get the book at the post office, for FREE.
i fell for same scam. $60 paid or whatever for a $15 book to study to be a mail carrier. As if you can do that for only 10-12hrs a week... cause its a full time Career, not some part time job for college kids that they aim it toward
Sometimes following a passion causes you to pay a stupid tax. I’m also a musician/songwriter. I used to pay these companies who claimed to be song pluggers with lots of connections to pitch your music to artists. They charged per song and per pitch. A lot of artists and labels don’t accept unsolicited music submissions so it’s so hard to get your work heard without connections. I spent a couple of hundred bucks before I said enough. It’s a racket.
Biden didn't actually want to forgive student loans - he just wanted to make it look like he did. So he deliberately only filled out part of the paperwork to make sure it would never go through
Well, making the promise to do something that you can't legally do doesn't absolve you of having made the promise and not following through on it. I don't care what the justification is for why something doesn't happen. Making a promise means you are guaranteeing it will happen. Any politician left right or sensor should absolutely be held accountable for things they guarantee to happen that don't happen. Not excuse because of whatever. So if you couldn't have guaranteed delivery on it, then you shouldn't have promised it. We all know it was a vote buying tactic, plain and simple.
@@random-nz7dy the Biden administration is continuing to forgive loans. I just had one forgiven a few weeks ago. It seems like they are trying to make those promises real to me.
@@random-nz7dyY’all say all of this but turn a blind eye to all the ppl in congress who got 100 of thousands if not millions forgiven but then get upset or call it illegal because he wanted to forgive 10-20k of student loans like let’s get real 😆 it’s not like he was trying to forgive 100k and they only got it through to the supreme court on a technicality nothing about the bill was illegal.
the homestead story was hilarious! For those who think they want to do that, the best bet is to have a few chickens (for eggs only) and grow a few vegetables.
Yah and mostly you can do that on your property and where. It’s called casual or suburban homesteading. Wayyy lower barrier of entry. And hedge against inflation and depression while being very relaxing and natural exercise.
$100+ easy, even the most basic trim is base $90k. There's a guy in the "rich" neighborhood around the corner from me that drives one. Like Dave says, I don't see nice cars anymore, I just see payments. Not trying to be judgemental, but I just don't see someone in Indiana having the CASH to buy one of the new hummers outright
My wife thinks that these designer bags are well made. I argue that they last because most women baby them such as this lady did. I certainly hold this same argument for my Swiss watches, which are mechanical crap.
I somewhat agree with your wife. I buy Coach, Michael Kors, Kate Spade designer bags that are originally in the $300 to $500 but I wait until they go on sale at the outlet stores and don’t pay as much. They hold up much better than when I used to buy $80 handbags. I’m rough on purses. Six months after purchase the $80 zippers would jam. Fabric would crack. My other purses are good for at least two years. Now $3,000 on a handbag is not me.
I mean, they are. I buy and sell luxury; the bags are extremely well made. My designer shoes are also made with Italian leather and handmade; that’s what we’re paying for. Quality made pieces.
Listening to this lady talk about her Prada purse reminded me that the Bible says where your treasure is, there your heart is also. What we make our priority, takes our attention and makes us it's servant. Money, TV, a car or any other possession can take our priority off of Christ
Homesteading dude is funny. We started our backyard garden (we don’t buy any veggies/herb during summer time and i can(jar)a lot) and bought chickens (only 6, max allowed here). And it was the greatest thing we’ve ever done. I am a big city girl, my husband never used a saw in his life, but we are smashing it now. We also have our full time jobs. Planning to buy a new house with 3-5 acres to increase our “farming situation”. Yes, it takes time, yea initial set up requires some money investments, but it is 100% rewarding and worth it.
Yes, the initial set up is far more than expected, but worth it. I love my chickens, and my vege garden. I too want more space to grow more, maybe a few more chickens.
Re: paypal scam, that exact thing almost happened to me. I was selling a laptop on eBay and a buyer offered $100 more than I was asking. I got a fake email with the eBay logo saying that the buyer had paid me, and I would see the money in my account after shipping. So I went and made a shipping label, shared it with the buyer, and still no money in my account. I called eBay to ask about their email, and they're like, we never sent that email, that's not our policy at all. 😱 I ended up selling to a friend for far less than market value, I was just too scared to deal with strangers after that.
If Ramsey ever writes a book "Stupid Tax", I could contribute a few chapters. 🙂 Or how about "Groundhog Day - Stupid Tax Edition" - stupid decisions that slapped me back to baby step 2 several times.
My parents bought a non existent house for 15 million turkish liras, they got scammed. 15 million turkish liras= 462k us dollars. We are not even super rich smh.
Homesteader wannabes kill me. I live on a small farm and I don't have chickens because I don't want foxes and I don't want more snakes. Farm life means no vacations.
Some of my relatives have cattle, pigs and other animals on their farms. I just visit then go home. I’m too lazy although technically farming is part of my roots. 😂
@@OopThereItIs77777 I should have been clear, we CHOOSE no vacations at the same time anyway because we do not want to have someone else care for our farm animals.
The woman who was paying her son's way through college while he was taking 10 years to get a degree, reminded me of Joel Guy, Jr. His mom was paying ALL of his expenses, school and living and he had been in college for about 12 years and was not even close to having his bachelor's degree and his mother informed him one day that she was retiring and could no longer support him so he (at the age of 28) would HAVE to get a job and start supporting himself. He had NEVER had a job and that didn't sound like something he wanted to do so he went with Plan B which was to get rid of his mom and dad and live on their life insurance. It took about a week or two for cops to figure the entire thing out and arrest him so his plan to live high on the hog on his parent's life insurance did not come to fruition; however, he didn't have to get a job because the State of Tennessee will be housing him for the rest of his miserable life.
I bought an elephant hide briefcase when my office was in the house across from my bedroom. A captain of industry said he never bought consumer goods on credit. I was so ashamed of making this purchase on credit, I returned the briefcase immediately. The shop person was not happy. Thanks go to the billionaire captain of industry who taught me a lesson.
There are many ways to get a Computer Science degree pretty cheap, and if you're making 50k, you're being bamboozled. Everyone i know in IT started at least 70k with nothing more special than an associates or bachelors, maybe a certificate.
IT you only need certs, not degrees. Cyber security should pay quite a bit depending on what level… but much more than help desk. My husband makes $55k plus overtime for IT help desk in the Midwest. Even process improvement can make 80k… cyber security can make 6 figures. Security + is a cert… most of IT is cert based not education based really. There’s no need to go to school for it.
I'm struggling with the fact I can purchase a new nice car with no problem, but then I'd be freaking out all the time about dents, scratches, hail, etc. I'd never drive it. So still just driving a beater lol
My stupid tax was going to a motorcycle dealership to buy a used bike for $2k I had cash. Sales guy talked me into buying a floor model Harley Davidson, no money down 2% interest so I thought was a good deal. Got it repossessed less then 6 months later as I lost my job
There was a documentary called Big Little farm or Little Big farm. Something like that. And it showed the reality of homesteading. Very eye opening. Solving one challenge after another. For sometimes minimal to no reward.
thats so funny cause i was 99% sure i would buy a gopro but i was like ok lets see where my next vaca will be if i even use it. and then covid hit and i havent done anything adventurous in years. so happy i didnt buy 🤣🤣🤣
I have 4 nice knives. I was able to get rid of every gadget I purchased over 25 years! The knives are high quality and we just sharpen them and they're as good as new.
Im not a city girl but I've never raised farm animals, with the end goal of having a semi self-sufficient life style I've already come to terms with the fact they're food and butchering/culling is not optional. My husband is happy to do it for me if i can not and has already been told I'll be paying for it if i can't do it myself while he's working. Just means I need more chickens to offset the cost
11:36 The Supreme Court stopped Biden from giving loan forgiveness. The purse story is just crazy but I got one bought a near $300.00 pair of exotic skin cowboy boots a few years ago. Thinking I was going to wear them out on the weekend and to other places. They were some sweet looking boots but... on the weekends I am usually always home, doing a home project , relaxing, washing the car, and go grocery shopping. Plus I was afraid I would mess em up. I ended up eEbaying them and got a chunk of my money, I still have 3 pairs but they are all just plain black leather.
I will say my student loans was definitely forgiven under the Biden administration and got my full refund back. It’s because I had worked 10yrs for the government and did my public service time
Theres only a couple of things i can think of. I purchased a camera lens that was pretty expensive. Then a couple months later i found a really good deal on a way better lens and bought that one as well. Rendering the previously new $500 lens usless. I have a personal policy that if i don't use it in a year, i get rid of it. I sell it or dump it. It makes me really think about my purchases. Because throwing away an expensive item is painful. Ive had to make a few exceptions to this rule. I like working on houses so i have a lot if tools for that. And i don't use all of them every year because some of them are specialized. But i modified the rule to include a "how likely am i to ever use this again" clause. But only for tools.
So she originally paid 3800 sold it for 380 and is thinking about getting another for 500🤔 sounds like homegirl hasn't learned her lesson salute to her ex husband😂
Our stupid tax - A boat. My advice, never buy a boat. I would advise renting a boat. However, if you can afford to buy a boat, buy a used boat and calculate the expenses (maintenance , storage, trailer, a vehicle that's strong enough to haul the boat, fees etc.) .
My stupid tax was buying a $9000 sports car with 138k miles right when I turned 18, motor and clutch blew in less than a month, dealership wouldn't take it back so I just parked it and let them impound it.. 7 years later getting garnished $21k for that mistake.
When you buy something like that, it is best to give it some patina immediately to get beyond that fear. My first new truck was driven through the woods and mudholes in the first 2 weeks. Nothing to worry about after that...
Afraid to damage expensive purse but sells it for a $3500 loss... Wouldnt it have been better to just enjoy the expensive purse and if it gets damaged a little its ok? Atleast you still have the purse with a few water drop stains on it
Lately, I bought a dish rack that goes over the sink. It’s too big, so my mom uses it as a shelf for her crafting stuff. Yes it was 60$ cash, yes my mom paid me for it, but I was so mad at myself.
When you buy expensive toys, you get expensive repair bills in your future. I know. I once owned and flew my own airplane 45 years ago. $🔥$🔥$🔥$🔥$🔥Then sudden clarity happened! Talked to my electrican son last night about my 15 year old twin grand daughters who are straight A students. No way are they going to college to be indoctrinated by activists. One is going into the Electrican's Union apprentice program which school my son teaches at nights. The other can go to a trade school of her choice but no college period. Colleges are no longer a gateways to success but are financial cliffs these days. The stupid ends with me!
Well I was raised a lefty and went to uni and law school and became libertarian bc of it sooo. I don’t regret my education one bit. Without my understanding of the constitution I wouldn’t be where I am today. And seriously can’t make up the BS people do to each other that end up as court cases. Life is more complicated than black and white, indoctrination or etc.
I disagree, I got two college degrees and am making over 100K yearly, and couldn't do the job that I do if I didn't have a degree. Have you ever thought that maybe your granddaughters SHOULD go to college if they want to work in a profession that requires it, rather than forcing them to go into some trade they may. hate? Guess what, my loans have also been paid off long ago, I got a decent job after my 15K two year degree and paid in cash to continue on to finish my four year degree! College is not always a waste of money, as long as they go for a useful degree like nursing, engineering, accounting, PA school etc.
I don't get buying expensive clothes, bags and shoes cz you feel weird even wearing it. Any cheap practical thing will do. And also when u buy expensive things to wear people start calling u rich and asking to borrow money
The purse story is so crazy. I didn’t know purses could be so expensive, the last purse I bought was in 2010 for 20cad. My friend has designer bags and only wears them around other friends who know name brands so she could boast how many thousands it was.
I’m the opposite. I ENJOY the things I buy because I appreciate the design and engineering that went into them. I hate when people leave the plastic on their furniture, or put a chunky case on their iPhones. Things are meant to be used. All my sneakers are creased, and all my handheld tech are caseless. Things are meant to be used, not baby’d
Naw man … you put a case (a nice thin Otterbox/OtterPop) on it BECAUSE you use it and don’t want it to get damaged because you wanna KEEP ON using it … at least, that’s what the people I know are doing … dunno about your people …
Some majors take more than 4 years at local colleges because of limits on enrollment in popular classes and majors, regardless of how well you plan. I wouldn't hold that against the student.
Yes! Get good with what you got first and then you know what to look for in good products going forward. Music is a big one… I’ve been playing music for my whole life and banjo for over a decade. So I know what I like, dislike, and am looking for in sound and quality when buying another banjo and sound equipment for the stage.
My best stupid tax: spring 2019 I thought it'd be a good idea to buy a mid cost "beater" car to save miles on my nicer car. Paid $4500 out the door cash for a '06 Impala with 115k on it. Immediately started having issues. I sunk a good grand into, and it could've taken another two grand to bring it back to good with all the leaks and cooling issues, electrical issues, transmission issues. Couldn't sell it after two weeks by private party, for 3k, so I traded it in with the nicer car I had to get a new nice car. I got $1750 for it. Lesson learned. Those three months my bank account was going backwards, after that pos was gone it was like magic, I had money again.
This is the reason I am for separate bank accounts in case your spouse impulsively buys something stupid. And I can't even imagine buying sneakers over $200 even if I was rich.
In college i was accruing 11k a year in Salliemae while spending over 500 a month on dating apps. I had met my wife 4 years before and it still took me 6 years to grow up before we started dating.
Stupid tax: My job demanded I get a personal credit card to pay for required trips. I explained I don’t use cards. They insisted or they’d find someone who would. They paid me back, with receipts. But now I had this card and I overspent it by $500. I had a $3000 limit, and I used it to buy tickets to Disneyland and sports and dates. That was 2018. I finally paid it off in 2021, after the card was deactivated by the bank. My next job wanted the same thing, and I told them no and they got me a company credit card. And I never used it. Because there wasn’t a need.
That sounds like you have a problem. Not the cards or company's fault. Im a chef and if the restaurant gave me a knife and I stab someone I'm not going to blame the restaurant or the knife.
I started college in 2015 and got a bachelor's over 3 years ago, but even then I took my time and felt I should have finished a year sooner. I can't imagine still being a student and not having a degree. I can understand if he was going to be a doctor or getting a master's degree but it's clear college isn't for him.
I like buying tattoos, but I paid for all of them with cash. And they will be with me forever, no one can take them away from me. Unlike your purse or your 50k jeep😄
Love this. Mine are usually holiday gifts or a treat if I get a bonus. But I'm only spending a small portion of the bonus, the rest of that gets banked.
My dad has an old rosewood Martin and he’s played it for decades. At one of our shows, a comedian scratched it with their shoe accidentally as it was sitting on stage. We call things like that well loved. It’s better to use it and enjoy it. That’s life! Does it suck? Yah. But it’s better than letting it collect dust at home. Instead that guitar has filled the world with beautiful music. It’s probs worth close to $3,000 at this point, those guitars appreciate in value pretty well.
Something stupid i did was buy a prebuilt alienware ryzen for $5k for my husband when his previous $1,200 one that burned out only to end up having to custom build him a tower a year later when it burned out(we didnt have warrenty on it). I’ve paid my share of stupid tax, worst of which is my house purchased from family assuming my dad’s advice that it was a great deal was solid and didn’t bother getting a full inspection done prior to purchase. My dad still believes it was an excellent deal, but I’ll only be able to sell and make any kind of profit, much less reimburse the cost of materials spent on repairs, much less pay for the time spent doing the repairs to make it worth selling. Take it from me, a good inspector is worth their weight in gold -ESPECIALLY when purchasing from family, no matter how honest the family is. Their ignorance about the extent of work needing done is just as painful financially as intentional deceit. 😅
would you ever advise, cashing out a 401k to be debt free of student loans. This would eliminate all debt besides the home. We still wotk and have plenty of time to rebiuild retirement.
Eggs are getting expensive again and will go up over time, protect the chickens from coyotes. Not a horrible idea for chickens if you want fresh eggs and want to know their raised well and not raised badly. You would save money long term, just would take some time to get ROI.
When I was first married, our mortgage was $500/mo. It KILLS me that we didn't find Dave earloer. We could've been dumping so much money on it. Now we've moved into a bigger house with a bigger mortgage and we also have kids so the extra payments are not as easy as they would've been at the old house. Not the worst stupid tax but it really eats at me.
1st dumb decision: working in downtown Dallas 2nd dumb decision: buying overpriced bag 3rd dumb decision: selling it for 90% off 4th dumb decision: pretty much everything out of her mouth
Yeah, I know how it is to pay off things and then have someone want to get you back in debt. Before I knew Dave, I pay off debt all the time, but my ex would want to get something new to replace whatever that was. Just ridiculous. Thankfully. I don’t have to worry about that now. 😅

happened to me as well, paid 2,500 no title.
I could be wrong but last I checked an in cabin air filter is usually accessed through the glove compartment and costs like $20, just for the next time 😂
I can relate though - I lost a raspberry in my car and still to this day I haven't found it's remains

I really like this twist. Great job!! ❤
As a marathon runner, it takes a big level of effort to qualify for Boston, but it doesn’t take $3000 in Nike shoes
You could have done all that with three pairs of ASICS costing you $300.

Everyone wants to be a homesteader, until they remember why society at large stopped doing that over 150 years ago.
George and Jade are the dream team.
We did $70K cash out refi for IVF at 3.75% fixed. We were able to claim some of it on our taxes as medical costs. Some may call it stupid, but that boy is my world.
I agree with you!
Please tell me you returned the items and got the money back.
Not, "this seems fishy."
No.
I said, "Wow, that must be a really big book!"
It wasn't. And I found out later that I could get the book at the post office, for FREE.
i fell for same scam. $60 paid or whatever for a $15 book to study to be a mail carrier. As if you can do that for only 10-12hrs a week... cause its a full time Career, not some part time job for college kids that they aim it toward
I love George and Jade 😅😂
I realized years ago that sometimes the pursuit is a greater thrill than actually owning the item.
A good consumer anymore I am not...
12:16 It was the Supreme Court, not Biden.
16:38 50k in cybersecurity… no way, that guy is tier 1/2 help desk.
Also, George at 15:57, a parent plus loan is not a loan that the parent has cosigned. The parent is the signer, period.

I used to believe designer handbags were a waste…until someone gifted me one. They are definitely well made and last a lot longer.
Listening to this lady talk about her Prada purse reminded me that the Bible says where your treasure is, there your heart is also. What we make our priority, takes our attention and makes us it's servant. Money, TV, a car or any other possession can take our priority off of Christ
And Jade.. the new hummers are fully electric.
And very inefficient
What exactly do you mean by inefficient question? I know just a little about electric vehicles so I would appreciate your input.
New Hummer EVs are most certainly Electric and they sell for more than $120k typically.
That mall store flamed her on that purse deal, or she way over paid for it. No way a designer bag in decent condition depreciates that much in value.

There are many ways to get a Computer Science degree pretty cheap, and if you're making 50k, you're being bamboozled. Everyone i know in IT started at least 70k with nothing more special than an associates or bachelors, maybe a certificate.

I started college in 2015 and got a bachelor's over 3 years ago, but even then I took my time and felt I should have finished a year sooner. I can't imagine still being a student and not having a degree. I can understand if he was going to be a doctor or getting a master's degree but it's clear college isn't for him.
Don't want to have a bag that makes me a target for thefts
I like buying tattoos, but I paid for all of them with cash. And they will be with me forever, no one can take them away from me. Unlike your purse or your 50k jeep😄
Love this. Mine are usually holiday gifts or a treat if I get a bonus. But I'm only spending a small portion of the bonus, the rest of that gets banked.
I feel the same way about my guitar I just bought a Taylor 915 ce builders edition and I’m scared to death I’m going to scratch it.
Cameras hold their value pretty well
The new hummer is 100% electric. Mama doesn’t know what she’s talking about.
Something stupid i did was buy a prebuilt alienware ryzen for $5k for my husband when his previous $1,200 one that burned out only to end up having to custom build him a tower a year later when it burned out(we didnt have warrenty on it). Never will i buy another prebuilt computer its vastly cheaper to frankenbuild with new and old parts to get a decent pc tower.
Hunting is expensive too
I’ve paid my share of stupid tax, worst of which is my house purchased from family assuming my dad’s advice that it was a great deal was solid and didn’t bother getting a full inspection done prior to purchase.
No body knows who long we got.
what?@@virgierutledge3004
If you don't have time to build retirement, you don't have a retirement to build for either@@virgierutledge3004
1st dumb decision: working in downtown Dallas
2nd dumb decision: buying overpriced bag
3rd dumb decision: selling it for 90% off
4th dumb decision: pretty much everything out of her mouth
Yeah, I know how it is to pay off things and then have someone want to get you back in debt. Before I knew Dave, I pay off debt all the time, but my ex would want to get something new to replace whatever that was. Just ridiculous. Thankfully. I don’t have to worry about that now. 😅
i have to wonder if she over paid. Like bought at a fancy shop with extra markup
But high end purses, a cheap new one starts around $500
between sneakers and purses and 300 dollar perfumes, I would rather go out to a nice place for dinner, but that is unsatisfying
