Thank you so much dude, as much as I have been working with cubase but this tempo change eluded me for long!
Happy to help. Thanks for watching 🙏🙏
This should be set as default so you don't have to fiddle around in menus when you're in your creative process !
great

Sweet, clear and effective advice!

Nice. Does this change the pitch at all? If I feel the need to make tempo faster that was already at A440 and if I record another instrument layer after, will it line up with the tuning/pitch of the faster tempo or would I need to tweak tracks to get them all tuned the same?
It does not change the pitch. It does a really good job or maintaining the quality, so long as you don't change the tempo to something very extreme
Hi! Thanks for the tutorial. I have done as descibed and the tempo changes but then I have a problem with my Metronome click. It do not follow the new tempo.
Would be great for an solution on that. Cheers! Peter
So how many BPMS faster or slower would be the cut off before the audio/vocals would deteriorate?
It varies on the voice and genre of music. It's totally up to your preference. Just listen and see what sounds good to you 🙏
thank you a sub for you

Does changing the speed reduce the quality of the file? I speed up 5 bpm and herd changes in voice quality do have info on that issue?
I'm tired of "whats up everybody". Don't you have any different ..... forget ..
It seems to have limitations though, I've just tried creating a rall on the end of a song by copying and pasting a section from earlier in the song, but the tempo processing seems to be applied to the original source material as well as the copy, which is obviously not what I want, am I overlooking something?
It's your Cubase version plz ?
Cubase pro 12
Thanks buddy 😊 hey, where can I find this song used for the demonstration?
Thank you so much. It's called "Late Nights" by me (The Hyphenate) and Autumn Alba. Search either her or me on any music platform and you'll find us. That song is released on both our accounts 🙏

one thing i'd like to be easier in Cubase tempo controls - maybe you know a better way? - if i've set up a tempo track and a signature track etc. and i've got a bunch of events (midi and audio) on my timeline already that i dont want to change - just temporarily adjusting the global / overall tempo value in order to either hear a detail or find an edit point or to track a difficult guitar part at slow speed - is really annoyingly difficult and if you're not careful you can throw things out of time really easily and not notice till its too late.
is there some way to just temporarily alter cubase's time value? like a mode where nothing in the DAW changes at all - nothing gets moved, the tempo track stays the same, but you just set everything to say, 0.8 or 0.5 speed, non-destructively?
right now when i want to do this, i have to export my timeline track, then select every point on the track and shift everything to an arbitrary lower number, then reimport the tempo track when i'm done. if there's an easier way i'd love to hear about it
Hi FROM ITALY, a specific question...: I have an audio (or even midi) project at 66 bpm I have to insert a guitar solo that starts at 66 bpm for 4 measures and then doubles to 132 bm for another 4. I inserted the tempo track highlighting only those 8 measures are fine except that after the general tracks they are staggered...! What's wrong?! Thank you
Thankdssss
Very helpful! Thanks

Great explanation, thanks. I'm learning a piece of music from sheet music and wanted to slow down an audio recording which I picked up on youtube so that I could play along with it ...... slowly. With your assistance, Cubase did the trick ! Thanks again.

I am having issue, my whole project is slow and out of pitch after recording a live sermon, can you help please?
Make sure the sample rate matches on all the tracks.
Great content! In this case it is a good thing changing the tempo did not affect the pitch. What if you want it to? I am trying to use Cubse to get an audio file to sound like a record slowing down and want the pitch to go down with it. Have any ideas on how to do that?
use a pitchshifter?
Ce no gri nzu nzu🎉🎉
🙏
I only have 6.5 CB . will this work the same? thank you . Been on hours trying to sort this :)
