There's something about racing movies that just gets my blood pumping. I love so many of them (Rush, Ford v Ferrari, and others). This one is solid! Maybe it's a little too long and some of the dialogue is kinda cringey, but definitely way better than I was expecting it to be. Great review, Andrew!
Sounds like these car movies really rev your engine, Sully 🚗. I instantly regret that joke 🙄. Yeah, it had some flaws, I definitely wasn’t into the romance aspect of the film, cut that out entirely, but it did have some real heart. I was pleasantly surprised by this one and it sounds like you were as well. Cheers Sully.
Hahah, yeah a dogs ass is a little distracting 😂 I agreed with your review for the most part, definitely wasn't just the cash grab I thought it would be. Great review!
Yeah man, I kid you not. The dog situation is out of control. And I’m a dog owner. Thanks for the love. I don’t like to just shit on movies, so I’m glad this one turned bout to be pretty good. Sometimes it has to do with our expectations. Cheers.
Dogs are not supposed to be allowed in the theater unless they are service dogs and who takes their service dog to the cinema? It definitely wasn’t a service dog. We have a lot of teenagers running the ticket scans and i imitating they just don’t say anything. It’s a good one. I wasn’t excited when the sneak showed it was Gran Turismo. I was fully ready to dump all the shot on it.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Yes, I love getting your dog's taint dust in my popcorn and dingleberries in my drink! #DogsAss I did not expect that and I laughed in a deep, sudden burst it took me off guard. That was great! The movie, listening to your review made me wonder if they just lacked skillz for the first half to keep it interesting or they downplayed it to make the second half more thrilling and attention-grabbing.
Haha, glad I could provide some laughter. The dog in the seat next to me is an ongoing saga at my theater, particularly for early releases. Yeah, I think half of it was how distracted I was, but also that the story didn’t resonate with me personally. I like underdog stuff, but I need to feel like I relate to the character in some way, a touch point of some sort. It maybe wasn’t even the film’s fault, it was just that the second half felt like I was finally invested. Im interested to see what others think as well, because I can see it being hit or miss for people.
@@LonelyGuyLovesMovies Agreed. Different perspectives give an all-around approach to any movie and are greatly respected and valued. Question: I recently saw it and was curious if you're going to do a review on it - The Sound of Freedom. That was really, really moving and good IMHO. PS: Yes, there's times I need a good laugh and you gave me it! Thank you.
@@RED_IN_PA I haven't had the chance to check out Sound of Freedom yet. It came out when we were on vacation and I have heard really great things about it. Sometimes if it's pretty far out from a release, it feels irrelevant for me to add to the convo. But, I just might. I hate the bad press it has gotten and I think the polarization of politics has infiltrated our art, our movies, and every aspect of our lives. I'm glad to see the movie has done so well despite all of that nonsense, and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
@@LonelyGuyLovesMovies True! I mean, why do movies 'have' to have such political leanings about them? I can't stand how it's set up to pit one against another. I mean, the movie, "Catch Me If You Can" is based on a true story. Can't we have true stories without them being political? So I agree with you. Maybe, if you choose to do one for 'Sound of Freedom" you cite what you said above prior to reviewing it. I think that would tie it all in perfectly. PS: Thank you. @@RED_IN_PA You gave me the push I needed. I snagged a ticket for Sound of Freedom for tomorrow. I may do a review on it, or I might do a video comparing the left hating Sound of Freedom and the right hating Barbie. Interesting review. I still hope my sneak peak today is another film.
