Fil, I’m soooo impressed by your musical taste. This guy is a class act thick and through. I have seen Travis Tritt live a few times and between the attitude, the voice, the playing, the writing, the arranging-to me, there aren’t many country acts that come together like his. Thanks for presenting such awesome variety to us in your analyses.
In 1986-88, I lived in a place outside of Atlanta, Georgia, and worked at a Kroger store. Travis came into the store quite often, as he was good friends with our produce manager, Chris. Travis is one of the nicest men I ever have ever had the pleasure of meeting, (and talking with on a semi-regular basis) so THANK YOU for this one.
Travis Tritt has been one of my favorite artist since he first hit the scene. He almost gave it but Charlie Daniels (RIP) wouldn’t let him. This was back when young Country Artists had to pay Hard Dues! Unlike what’s happened in the past 10 yrs of Country. To Earn the respect of Daniels, Jennings, Ray Charles...Dues Paid!
He listened to Hank Jr growing up, Guarantee it! He owned that audience and for good reason! Thanks Fil as always for featuring important live performances!
Yes, he is a master on the guitar and is at top level as a singer. He is a man for the people and always was. I'm glad he quit his day job and worked hard to be a great Country Artist. Great guitar analysis. Thanks!
Hi Fil! Travis Tritt is known as being a bit wild, but in reality he is quite soft spoken, and just a sweet guy..I saw him in a different format talking, and explaining his discomfort at being known as a bit crazy, and it was striking! Just had to add that tidbit about him! It was surprising to me to find such a family man! Travis is just flat out one great musician! Not much I can add to your analysis! Have a great rest of week! Keep rocking! ✌️
Amen brother, I watched a video of him doing some bluegrass style flat picking and it was amazing! I’ve heard him sing bluegrass too, he can pretty much do whatever style he wants.
Another cover he blew up the charts with was Jennings Where Corn Don’t Grow. There is a great clip of Tritt, Waylon, Wariner and Diffie performing the song.
Great analysis!👏 I was impressed with Travis Tritt when I saw the video of him singing "Take it Easy" with the Eagles , he sang that better than the Eagles! Omg I would literally do cartwheelsi & flips if "you" were to sing that song. You could sing so many different genres of music and do them well but I know your "Rock". There is nothing wrong with being a Southerner, I'm one from Florida and "excluding the covid-19 virus" which has gotten worse I think it's the best part of the country. I always wanted to travel to the UK, Scotland, Norway, etc maybe one day if I win the lottery, lol. Ok I know you have better things to do sooooo, so long for now. Have a good, wonderful day Fil, love ya.❤
A cracking analysis on Travis Tritt Fil! This guy is awesome....an amazing guitarist with a sensational voice! Articulate and melodic and makes it look effortless! Brilliant! Cheers Mario! 😀👌🤘
Some wild synchronicity here, Fil. Yesterday I wanted to hear "It's All About To Change," and I ended up listening to Travis all afternoon while I worked. And please don't tell me "Here's a Quarter, Call Someone Who Cares."
Very fine analysis, and what a bunch of interesting comments here, too. I realize he's sort of controversial hereabouts. Thanks for the Herculean effort, you rock!
Great analysis Fil !! You are a huge step above the other "reaction" or "analysis" videos by people who are clearly not musicians or know anything about musical composition. VERY interesting especially for a guitarist like myself. (I am in no way in your league however). Would love to see and hear your analysis of "Off the Hook" live version by The Rolling Stones at the TAMI Show in the USA (video is on YT). I think you could shed some good light on Keith's and Brian's guitar techniques. Looking forward to your next one !!
Fil, long time follewer. So impressed with YOUR ABILITY AND KNOWLEDGE OF MUSIC! Where. Did you stydy??? I like your channel as much as Rick Beato's and that says a lot. Keep on with your fantastic taste in music!
Its a pleasure to listen to another great artist. I work in a school and on average about ten children take GCSE music each year, but if you taught them I bet it would be much more popular.
Great video, Fil. I saw Travis in Dallas back in 1991 at a free concert at Irving Stadium. He had to quit doing Here's a Quarter not long after that because people at the concerts would throw quarters on the stage.
Not being much of a country fan, I knew enough of Travis to know he's a great singer, but had no idea he could pick like that. Great live performance of a great sing.
Great analysis on Travis Tritt. I don't know why, but I thought Travis Triit had done the song"Ships That Don't Come In" by the late Joe Diffie ( worth a listen).

Travis Tritt is a very good guitar player, obviously. I believe Travis is playing a Gibson Chet Atkins SST. This is a solid body acoustic electric. Travis is pictured playing several different Chet Atkins SST's in a couple of different videos,it is a popular guitar. Travis has been trying to keep his politics out of his music (big Bush 43 supporter NRA supporter) but did manage to call out Meryl Streep for her anti-Trump comments. It is Travis's politics that keep me from being a fan. Fil is the star of tonight's analysis. Thanks Fil.

Tritt is now one of the very rare survivors of pure golden country music he is now the MASTER ! I love his music 👍

I'm a full grown man
That's plain to see

As I'd like to be
But I'll find a bar
And I'll have a few
Until I'm ten feet tall and bulletproof
Now, I'd hit the dance floor
Each time I'd have the chance
That is if these two left feet
Knew how to dance
'Bout the only time
I'm kicking up my shoes
Is when I'm ten feet tall and bulletproof
Well, I start to feel like Superman
Then I pick a fight
Only to find that my opponent's
Holding kryptonite
You'd think I'd learn my lesson
But, I'm still paying dues
Each time I drink and start to think
I'm ten feet tall and bulletproof
My woman left me
She called me a clown
Well, that's the general consensus
In this town
Lord, to tell the truth
For acting ten feet tall and bulletproof
Did you ever think to let the acoustic video play so people could actually hear it then they could realize what your talking about
