As an Italian I did not expect Charlie to talk about this, but I'm glad he did. It's been all over the national news these last few days. I can't imagine the grief of the mother, a child dead because of one of the stupidest reasons ever
Being Italian, would jerk translate into something in Italian that would be far stronger than it is in English? Just curious because I don't speak the language.
American football player for the Oakland Raiders, a grown adult, was drunk and speeding recklessly and ran into a woman’s car. Igniting it and burning the woman and her dog alive. Bystanders said they could hear the woman and dog screaming to death. The football player is only facing 3-10 years in prison. America and their media are silent. Y’all have no position to criticize Italian teenagers when you have grown adults doing worse and getting away with it on your own soil.
@@Wallychans This is a shitty whataboutism and if you had even a modicum of critical thinking skills you’d realize that some douchebag isn’t immune from criticism from someone from another country just because some random dude from their country also did something incredibly fucked up. They both suck and deserve the worst applicable punishment for the life they took.
I'm Italian and this tragedy has been all over the news in the last days. It's so crazy and heartbreaking that a mother lost her child and a 5 year old kid had his life taken away by this bunch of idiots. I honestly hope this guy and his friends spend in prison as much time as possible
If only, they’ll probably be let out immediately knowing today’s world. I’m Italian as well and live a few km from where the accident happened, I feel horrible for the father who wasn’t in the car and just had to hear about what happened casually
You got to wonder how many people Mr Beast has got killed from his stunts but seeing as the U.S government engineered his success to fabricate a global positive image of democracy around the world I wouldn't be surprised if they were all cleaned and covered up by those at the top.
Hello, Italian here. I remember watching the news the day (06/12/2023) and being traumatized. People of my age watched them (12-15 yrs old watched them usually) so this was very hard to settle with. the guy that made the clip is called Loiacono, even though it might not seem like that, he was the one that tried to help more (still a fucking idiotic douchebag, considering he tried to help using ice). The terrifying fact is that theese guys after the incident, said to a person (that saw everything) "Don't worry, we will pay the family and everything will be fine". The italian jury sistem is very slow, so expect them to be in jail in probably six months. Also, the driver, Matteo, was high on marijuana. Remeber these guys were for kids. I hope that the things that these jerks (which is a hard word in italian) will discourage others from doing the same acts. Stay safe.
Fortunately we had a quite recent law change here in Italy that allows street crashes to be treated as homicides and not as an incident under the right circumstances, and I really hope this can be applied here.
Maybe the only time it is worth applying, most of the people charged with “road homicide” are just regular sober people driving at speed limit that had some unforeseeable unreactable accident.
@@Exploud Eh, in the US few people who kill people in drunk or reckless driving accidents even spend any time at all in prison. There was the one kid that got probation after killing four while drunk driving. I think aggressive laws like this (within the right circumstances, of course, not if it’s a legitimate accident when going the speed limit etc) are necessary
@@TrashFireSpectatorreading that ending made me want to commit murder. That judge needs to die if he wants to protect a useless piece of shit like that. Even if there was no hard evidence to confirm how fast he was speeding the eye witnesses confirmed he was still speeding regardless.

As an Italian, I can only be thankful to Charlie for talking about this topic. (They were mostly followed by kids, in fact I didn't knew they existed before what happened)
I do hope the family of that child heals well from the loss of their child, but as many has said, there is no recovering. Its saddening how disgusting people become when fame comes in to question.
I lost my dad when I was 5 and the survivor guilt I had was indescribable. I only allowed myself to mourn at about 13 or 14 years old. I can’t imagine how that mother feels. To have someone take away your child someone that came from you and you loved since before they were born is a feeling no one can describe.
Thank you Critikal for talking about this horrible tragedy. I'm italian and live an hour away from where it happened. In Italy everyone is talking about this, and I'm glad that you are spreading the news in other countries. Hopefully we can stop this from happening more often

Im Italian, and i have an incredibly sad thing to tell. After they crash, one of the crew members was still recording the scene. The only thing they were caring wasn't even the healt of the child, they were only thinking about making "content" By the way, the word jerk can be comparized to "rincoglionto" that is a very aggressive word to use.
Just hearing the words "a 5 year old boy passed away" made my heart drop. As an Italian I must say I’m impressed you covered this story at all and the level of research made beforehand that shows your dedication to deliver this story to “outsiders”. I just wanna point out a few extra details that probably got lost in translation/journalists writing the news down. Sorry for my bad English in advance as it’s not my first language and it is currently half past three. First of all pretty much no one knew who these people even were before this happened as we don’t have as much of a UA-cam culture as other countries do (too many old people and not a lot of public to share with other content creators [whether on TikTok, UA-cam, Twitch, etc…]) and for those who do have such culture, they’re mostly interested in far better channels than that. The dynamics of the incidents are still under investigation but what is clear is that the mongloids (I’ll try to avoid using other, way harsher terms) hit the other car directly on the side (I believe you guys call it T-bone [?]) with a Lamborghini Urus against a Smart ForFour which is the equivalent of an heavily armored truck against a paperclip where the little Manuel seems to have been sitting on the passenger’s seat on his mom side when they got crashed upon. The mom and the daughter got immediately rushed to the hospital where they were red-coded until not so long ago and whilst they both recovered to a safe state, the mother hasn’t released any declarations nor has she spoken to the police due to the psychological shock. UA-cam started a special procedure to block any advertisements to ever be shown on the channel since they didn’t set any of their videos to private/unlisted (yes, even after they published that apology video) and were still getting revenue that was increasing massively due to the mediatic echo of the accident. The video from TikTok you saw was an extra they did (gotta milk that content when you spend thousands to rent a luxury vehicle) that was supposed to represent “How today’s kids act when they get a luxury car” which, funnily enough, they ended up representing way better than one would’ve imagined. Also the very first day of the accident one of the guys (I believe the one from the TikTok video) went as far as being sorry for the accident but immediately clarifying that he was not the one driving (cause that will make you look better). Finally the two idiots had to move out of the neighbourhood as they were receiving lots of death threats and there’s voices that the TikTok one might’ve even fled out of the country.
Welp, there's no coming back from that one. Even if they regretted it. Taking an innocent life is a sin you can't wash off. Jeez, they should've follow mr beast recent video and made a video about helping disabled people.

I stopped halfway through the video and noticed my teeth and fists were painfully clenched. It genuinely brings a tear to my eye to hear a young child perished due to the actions of these morons.
People like this should genuinely be locked up. They’re so selfish, closed minded, and inconsiderate that they should be considered a danger to others. It takes a good 2 seconds of shallow thinking to realize that driving a car at very high speeds is a bad idea but they’re so self obsessed that they can’t think of any consequences that their actions might have on others.
I'm Italian, and just for the record, witnesses say that after the fact they kept filming outside the crashed car laughing like schoolgirls while people gathered all around (all of this happened in the road in front of a kindergarten). Did they show any remorse?? If not, I think it should be fair for any random person to hit them with their vehicle if they're seen anywhere on the streets. Doesn't even have to be road vehicles, land a helicopter on him. Might be controversial to say, but I think he should've been on that sub in place of the 19-year-old. I worked at a preschool for a long while and I worked at the daycare type shift for elementary schoolers, I would ask the kids what they wanted to be when they grow up and the difference between their answers really hinged on one point; what their screen time looks like. The kids that have grown up glued to a screen their entire life all wanted to be UA-camrs, the kids that hadn’t spent as much time online had the standard princess/astronaut/football player type answers. There was a noticeable difference between kids that have been essentially lobotomized by way too much screen time. These kids would literally pace around the room waiting to use the iPad we had in the classroom because nothing else entertained them and they needed the overstimulation to be stimulated at all. And it was really crazy to see the effects already and somebody extremely young, definitely changed my viewpoint and how I will raise my kids in the future

This has been all over the news in Italy for like the past week. Seeing the mom breaking down was so so upsetting. This man deserves the highest punishment possible
Loosing a young child can be one of the worst experiences known to mankind. It can take drastic effects to parents mental and even physical health. A parent should never have to bury there kid. My heart goes out to not only this poor family but to all who have been forced to experience the loss of a child♥️
I can't imagine being 4 years old and suddenly not having your very close in age older brother not part of your life anymore. At 4, you'll definitely have some memories of him. She'll have to go through her life as an only child now, constantly thinking about the big brother that was supposed to be there protecting her.
I can't even imagine how frusturated the family must feel, a bunch of childish losers do stupid shit and THEY are the ones left with the permanent scar. Lots of love to the family and their departed angel ❤.
They're getting exactly what they deserve. Permanently losing your license and access to social media is nothing compared to the guilt of having killed a child due to your own behavior. They have to live with that for the rest of their lives. They'll still be having nightmares about this 40 years from now. They are living lives doomed by regret that can never be fixed.
They will sleep very well with the amount of money they got and they dont look like the type of people who have remorse or feel guilt. The fact they didnt have at least 10 years in prison is mindboggling to me.
As an Italian, I say that there's a good chance these guys will most likely see very few years of imprisonment if they ever go to jail. Cases of people killing someone, even children, during car accident because they couldn't bother to follow basic rules are not that uncommon and they often lead to generally light punishments of at best a decade in jail. I hope what happened with Michele Bravi doesnt happen here just because these guys are famous cause these people are seriously dangerous and they should be locked up.
Italian here, if the driver gets charged with both road homicide and the DUI (he was positive for cannabinoids) he may face more jail time than expected
I hope they’ll eternally ruminate about that one moment. Even those years of thinking will not be enough for the suffering the family will go through. While you rot in prison, think about the utter inhumanity of your actions and how your whole life from now on is null and void. And to the mother, I give my condolences for these wretches, these stains on humanity.
I feel so bad for the mother, it’s a horrible thing to outlive your child especially in such a tragic and unnecessary way, over somebody else’s bullshit.
I genuinely believe that we need to start passing laws that massively increases the severity of crimes committed due to wanting to film a video for social media. Some sort of "pre-meditated reckless endangerment" sort of thing. Because the fact they're filming and recording commentary and whatnot about the reckless, dangerous acts (and outright crimes - Looking at you, "robbing a bank as a prank" dude) proves that it was INTENTIONAL to put others at pointless risk all for personal gain. We really, REALLY need to start taking more action against terminal stupidity. I shouldn't have to fear for my life when doing literally anything because someone nearby is the kind of genius that thinks a book is going to block a bullet from a D.eagle.
As a mother to two young boys myself, I cannot imagine the pain this mother is going through. I am so angry that these people put their selfish goals far ahead of anyone else, and their actions have resulted the death of such an innocent and joyous child. I hope they are severely punished. This is so devasting for the family of the child... RIP sweet angel.

As an Italian this is all we are hearing from the news, we are so sorry for what happened and we are very angry at those assholes. The only problem is that the Italian media are now trying to put all the fault on UA-camrs
potential reasons for the perceived weakness of the jerk comment: 1. he might have wanted to say something that would be considered highly unprofessional and couldn't think of a good word swap 2. what was actually said might not translate well into English and the closest equivalent is might be "jerk"
This wrenches my heart apart, as a mother, I can't even begin to imagine it. The mere suggestion is horrifying. I love my daughter more than anything and I genuinely don't know if I could continue to exist without her. There are no words sufficient to describe how sorry I am for this mother. @user-bx5ib5hy1q It is the word I'm looking for, I simply misspelled it on accident. I meant: "cre·tin /ˈkrētn/ - noun DEROGATORY•INFORMAL. Meaning - a stupid person." I swapped the "i" for an "a" by mistake. Fixed it for you.
At some point it's not just a little clout, they're doing it for significant money. This behavior can be heavily incentivized, even if it's just a chance at making it big. It's pure greed. I'd be much happier if these platforms stopped caring about curse words and copyright and just started banning stupid behavior in general.

the one “death from youtuber” story that sticks with me is this one couple. its been years, but for a prank(?) the husband held up a book and had his wife shoot him. they genuinely believed a book was strong enough to block a bullet. the lady was pregnant and gave birth in prison, and they had another child when this happened
The sad thing about that is that the book was fucking THICK. Could've been effective if they used a .22lr, .45, or even a sub 9mm (although it would still be a bad idea). But the .50 AE is just so powerful that he never stood a chance against the deagle.

Your English was excellent! Thank you for the extra info

RIP to the kid, so stupid that someone had to die because of reckless driving, never mind for a youtube video. Prayers to the family, hopefully these people can grow up and learn from their behavior and serve the time necessary for this.
Difficult to say they'll learn their lesson from this experience, considering other influencers similar to these douchebags still continue, even after consequences (UA-cam “Pranksters” for example).
@@VaultboythefightingmachineWell when your 5 years old you haven’t really had the chance to do so. So what is the purpose of your comment?
Agreed, I hope they get completely turned around by this tragedy, no one is going to just move past this. It's going to be on their conscious forever. No brushing this off, lives are seriously messed up now.
@@Vaultboythefightingmachine So? The rest of the family still has to deal with all the pain of losing their own child. No afterlife will simply undo that, you can't just fix or remove trauma, only learn to manage it.
Auschwitz, the meaning of pain

Slow death, immense decay
Showers that cleanse you of your life
Forced in like cattle, you run
Stripped of your life's worth
Human mice, for the Angel of Death
Four hundred thousand more to die
Angel of Death
Monarch to the kingdom of the dead
Sadistic, surgeon of demise
Sadist of the noblest blood
Destroying without mercy
To benefit the Aryan race
Surgery with no anesthesia
Feel the knife pierce you intensely

Strapped down, screaming out to die

Pumped with fluid, inside your brain
Pressure in your skull begins pushing through your eyes
Burning flesh, drips away
Test of heat burns your skin, your mind starts to boil
Frigid cold, cracks your limbs
How long can you last in this frozen water burial?
Sewn together, joining heads
Just a matter of time 'til you rip yourselves apart
Millions laid out in their crowded tombs
Sickening ways to achieve the holocaust
Seas of blood, bury life
Smell your death as it burns deep inside of you
Abacinate, eyes that bleed
Praying for the end of your wide awake nightmare
Wings of pain reach out for you
His face of death staring down, your blood's running cold
Injecting cells, dying eyes
Feeding on the screams of the mutant he's creating
Pathetic harmless victims left to die
Rancid Angel of Death flying free

As someone with a new son, this always genuinely hurts to hear when kids are the center of a bad incident. Hope they burn in hell
A man that was on the scene was interviewed and said that he grabbed the guy that was driving by the shirt and told him" if there were my wife and kids in that car you wouldn't be alive right now" and the guy just smiled at him, absolutely despicable

As an Italian, thank you. Thank you for bringing attention to this. It’s crazy how much people are willing to do for internet points
Grazie Charlie! As an Italian, I thank you for giving international visibility to this horrendous tragedy. Due to our foundamentally useless legal system I suspect they will get away with a slap on the wrist even though they deserve life in jail for killing a child and ruining this poor mother's life. Un abbraccio e tanto amore alla povera famiglia distrutta da questa disgrazia ❤️❤️❤️
same, I've heard of it on the radio and I'm glad people outside Italy are making about it
same here, i feel very ashamed of him. he should know better than driving like one would drive in GTA5
Honestly, I'm not really supportive of capital punishment (mainly because the justice system sucks), but for some people it's like..... we could lose a few people from this planet.

And it was really crazy to see the effects already and somebody extremely young, definitely changed my viewpoint and how I will raise my kids in the future
the word "jerk" really doesn't suffice for the trauma and harm done to not only the mother and children but for everyone involved. they really deserve everything they have coming to them and more.

Eh, they also deserve some prison time but you’re right
@@kawasaki_voyagur1700 Yeah that too, but hopefully their own minds become their prison soon.
I don't think these kind of people can feel guilty at all
They will sleep very well with the amount of money they got and they dont look like the type of people who have remorse or feel guilt. The fact they didnt have at least 10 years in prison is mindboggling to me.
Yes, they dont care at all.

7:42 Frl, back then people did UA-cam for fun, we didn’t do it for money or attention

The sad thing about that is that the book was fucking THICK. Could've been effective if they used a .22lr, .45, or even a sub 9mm (although it would still be a bad idea). But the .50 AE is just so powerful that he never stood a chance against the deagle.
@@shamelessdog3605 IIRC that's where they got the idea. They had done the trick before with a 22 or 9mm. I guess they figured if it worked for one kind of bullet it would stop all bullets.
