I wonder how much snitching occurred in the Jedi order. "Not allowed to do this. That's forbidden. This is against the rules." That's what I love about Anakin. He used Force Choke every five minutes in the Clone Wars show, and he'd do it in front of whoever was around. He didn't care. The Hero With No Fear did not have time for not winning battles as quickly as possible (to keep the people he loved from dying.)
I can understand Windu’s mindset, even as a Jedi. The Dark is the path to absolute power and in a shorter amount of time. The Light is slower, but with no corruption involved. Mace being more dark sided need Vaapaad to keep himself focused and center in the light side. Being the only Jedi in the Clone Era to dance between light and dark, one could call him the closest individual to a Bendu, but when dabbling with the dark even if it’s used for the light it still had its side effects. Easy example, Mace pulling back his lightsaber to swing down at Palpatine rather than thrust forwards into his chest. Wanting to see the helplessness in Palpatines eyes as he would’ve taken his last breath rather than either arresting him or going in for the swift kill. Dark traits for someone who’s been in the light for a very long time.
