I miss those days so much, 17 and full of dreams and hopes. Especially the hope to stay friends forever, only now i've seen how life really becomes after High School.. I cried my eyes out when I watched this episode. I just discovered the show this year,on TV,last episode was aired this morning,and I'm trully going to miss it. What a beautiful show, happy I finally got around to it!
Yes it was. It started the same year as The OC and OTH was considered a sleeper hit compared to the OC but OC used all its juice in season 1. Hell by the Oliver storyline the show was already getting stale. OTH had a lot more heart and feels. Better character development as well. I still say seasons 3 and 4 were the best and season 7 for the adult years.
This was the perfect ending to the high school years and to some extent the show itself. However i am glad that dan got his redemption at the end by saving nathan.

This was the last great season of one tree hill. It was so beautiful and perfectly put together. It reminded of your own high school days and shows how successful they were in connecting with their audiences. It was all downhill after season 4
S4 should have been the last season. Yes, it went on longer than that and no one can change that, but to me and other fans this was a perfect ending. There are many shows that stayed on pass their shelf life and I believe OTH was one of those shows.
Think of it as two shows ONE TREE HILL RAVENS 1-4 ONE TREE HILL NOW AND FOREVER 5-9 And if you think about it seasons 5 through 9 seemed like a sequel or a reboot of the series. Taking place 4 years later and seeing them change the town of TREE HILL forever.
I love this ending, it was perfect. Til this day it still remains my favoritr scene out of One Tree Hll. I graduate next year and wish that it could turn out like this

once they began to change the original cast I just couldnt watch anymore but without a doubt they're final season (9) was golden and the ending brings it back to the beginning with Jamie leaving as the center of the show
I dont think this ending would have been satisfying to fans if it was the show's finale, but this is the perfect ending to their highschool years and that's exactly what it was, the end of their childhood, the next step is going to be adulthood and that's what we'll see from Season 5 to 8, them being adults and finally being out there on their own without highschool as a background.
Basketball was the signature theme, the route core of this show. I’m not sure what they were thinking, regarding content ideas past season 4. Big bust, especially to viewers. But this was an amazing end. So be it.
I cried with these last two episodes..what is important in life is love between people..and that's it..family,partners,friends. It should have ended with season 6 because Lucas was the real main character of the series and his love for Peyton too. It's not the same without them.
I loved OTH til this episode. I tried to watch all the other seasons believe me, but it never got the same. So I gave up at season 7 I think. but OTH season 1-4 are gold!
Lowkey glad that they made sure to include Junk and Fergie in that final scene. They were there at the beginning, and with what happened with Jimmy, it's good to see that Lucas and Mouth didn't let anybody else from their old crew feel left out.
season 1-4 are so magic. I treied to watch the other seasons but got stuck on season . Couldn't watch it anymore cause it sucked so hard. This would have been the perfect ending, and it is THE end of OTH for ME.
This really IS the best ending I have ever seen. I wish I had friends like this, great moments like this :/ And by the way, I like Brooke with Steven Colletti (I forgot his character's name) but I won't say anymore so I don't spoil anything for all the new people. I hate when people say this should have been the last season....those comments are just plan stupid and irrelevant...the show went on get over it and not only did it go on but the seasons after 4 was good, not as great as the first 4 but still was good...I agree this would make a great ending and is the best ending i have ever seen...if you all think about it, this was the end of the original OTH(teen show) and it went on into an more Adult show...i'm sure thats why a lot of you didnt like it.

I don't know how many times I am going to say this...THIS WAS THE FU**ING PERFECT ENDING FOR ONE TREE HILL! Season 5 to whatever the hell season they on now just frigged up the whole show and the memories. HONESTLY. This gave CLOSURE. Everything after was just STUPID. Of course If Brooke was with Lucas, and Peyton was with Jake and holding Jenny, then it would have been MY perfect ending..but still. It still pains me to even watch any OTH episode that happened after this AMAZING finale.

Season 4 is the true ending to One Tree Hill. Seasons five and six is not that good. I usually stopped at seasons 1-4. I stopped watching at the end of season four if i knew they were gonna do an another love triangle.

But also I bet some people left after s4 because they graduated and ran was put in prison. And my mom stopped after s8 Bc she didn’t want to watch the last season. But s9 had good finale Bc it wasn’t sad it was more happy and I was singing theme song with the cast. 🥹
