    Wow, that was the most comprehensive video I’ve seen. Thank you.
    With this way of ironing towards the steam, it makes the steam pointing sideways and I think it doesn’t look good. Is there any other way?

    • @OscaIroning
      @OscaIroning  3 роки тому

      Hi Morteza, if you mean the side SEAM of the pant leg, yes there is another way where the seam is not pressed but the leg is round. The easisest way is not to Iron all the way to the seam. Don't press over it but just "steam through" holding the iron just above the fabric. Good Luck!

    Please elaborate on the temperature of the iron. I want to avoid the shining of the fabric afterwards. 97% cotton 3% cotton. Or did I miss it in the video?

      Dear Germanic Hunter: re: shine: Thanks for watching. And thanks for your question. We have many videos planned for the future, including the various methods for avoiding "shine". No. You did not miss it. "Shine" is only quickly referred to, but not covered. I suggest at the beginning of the video that the inside of the fly is a good place to "test" the fabric to see if it might shine up. Cotton responds better to a higher temperature but may shine, though turning down to "wool" will still do a good job and not shine up the fabric as much. Ironing on the inside will also do a good job, but again, being cotton, you may re-crease the garment when turning it the right way out and may not get as good a finish around the stitching. So: Best to use a cloth to iron over and keep the pockets out of the way to avoid any shine or imprints as well. Good luck!
