Ned Rush is an infotaining universe of ideas for ways to make music, including areas of music production, music composition, sampling, synthesisers and sound design in software like Ableton, MaxMSP, Reason, and on hardware such as eurorack modular, Elektron boxes like the Octatrack and Analog Rytm, also visual art strategies using Jitter, focusing on music genres such electronica, IDM, glitch, jungle, breakcore, electro-acoustic, musique concrete, as well as discussing music via interviews and podcasts, and music performances via livestreams.

Hey Ned, I'm trying to get an audio-reactive glitch video to a seperate window to put it on a beamer screen, as you did at 19:20. However I'm just getting a monochrome mush. I'm referencing this tutorial: Max 8 Tutorial #33: Audio Becomes Video by dearjohnreed

Have you made something like this but using your modular system's CV input into PC instead of MIDI?
I think the theta-value is in radians, which means the maximum would be 2*π.

Nice one mate! Just when I felt I was getting a hang of audio in Live you go change it up (which is great BTW!). Grabbed from Patreon but damn, if your gonna continue this series Imna have to upgrade to Live10 and Max 8 :-) Keep up the great work!
You won’t need to upgrade. I did that video in live 9 and max 7.
I haven’t upgraded to max 8 yet.

at 5.57 when you 'switch on' the noise proper, having plugged in the qmetro, I'm having an issue: I have exactly what you have (Toggle to qmetro and dim attribute to noise, nothing else) but no sign of life - no movement, I'm still on a single frame...
Can we export the visuals
As far as I can remember there is a way you can set max to render vizzie patch data to a video file of some sort however you need to configure this within max as I don't think that Ableton would recognise the imported patch as being a video object per se

@@NedRush its knowing what you are doing to create the right boxs, and which drop downs, etc. I'm not seeing you click the lock button, to understand that testing part...
You videos are great, and the results fantastic... honestly... I think this stuff might be a bit beyond me...
I'm trying to make visual videos for my label releases... nothing crazy, some lines, some movements... can't seem to crack that egg...
Read the Max reference file system. That’s what I did.
@@NedRush i think its that I dont have the time to learn new skills... im knee deep in engineering/mastering production, a+r etc...
Maybe I'm over reaching and should get someone to do it, that does that... I hate when a chip shop sells pizza...
