    When I was a kid, my dad asked me if I knew how milk was pasteurized? Of course, since I was a child, I said no. He then picked up the bottle and moved it back and forth in front of my face. There you go,he said, it passed your eyes.
    If it were that easy, but you made it look fun too!

    We drink raw milk goats, make farmer cheese , hard chees,mozzarella , we make soap and cakes with our goats milk. I love goats and their milk!!❤🐐

      Burlington has goat milk soap $5(4.99)
      ,online three is website that goat milk soap “ they are $5.
      $5 and with huge size will last you long .
      There are other website out here that goat milk is small sizes and they are more expensive.
      Suggest don’t by those . You spend too much money , I boaugnt one of those more expensive or cheaper “ the small don’t last “. Only the bigger one and cheap$5

    For as much as you need to check temps, including making soap, I would advise getting a heat gun, it’s soooo fast and accurate!😊

    The pig palace is amazing...but the mud hole is the such a big hit. That was so fun to watch. So excited for piglets soon!

    I bought a Silver Lungs Colloidal Silver machine, highly recommend it and I add colloidal silver to every gallon of milk. It also preserves the taste of the milk. We NEVER have goaty milk. The American pioneers would always drop a silver dollar in their water supply to keep it clean.

      @@tammymartin4648 I actually never bother to measure but probably around an ounce to a gallon. If you aren't familiar with C.S. it is such an amazing product that is almost impossible to overuse. BUT IT MUST BE MADE VERY WELL with .9999 rods and distilled water ONLY. I need to spray my roses bc of black leaf and I saved our Peach tree a few years ago buy spraying the whole tree. Took me a while but so worth it!

    I pasteurize mine at 135* for 30 minutes. I think it gives the milk less of a cooked flavor. Then about half of my milk goes into making baby formula for my 8 month-old son. He’s been on it since he was 5 months, and he is such a chubby kid!

      Ok so as I'm pasturizing the milk it a got a little stuck on bottom not too much is that still ok. I did make sure that the milk got to 165

    I don’t think I’ve ever had goats milk. If I did, was when I was younger and lived in a farm. We didn’t raise goats, did raise horses, cows and chickens. A friend of the family had a few goats, so maybe.
    Omgoodness…I think by making the watering hole your pigs love you guys a whole bunch more! Lol So cute ☺️

      I’m also having issues with tolerating cows milk the last few years! I got my first does last year and one is finally ready to milk! Thank goodness because goats milk is hard to find in tiny Rhode Island!

      Yeah. I seem to be in the same boat. And, I LOVE milk! But, I bought commercial goat milk, with not very good results.☹😭 So, I'm currently buying org lactose free cow's milk... or oat milk. 😳 I still want goats - I love and still seem to be tolerating cheese.
      In the meantime, Sprout's Market has lactose free sour cream, cottage cheese, milk, yogurt, and half and half. It's made a huge difference!

    I drank goats milk from early infant to middle adult. Bad allergies and goats milk was only thing I wasn’t allergic to.

    Crystal I love your shirt lol. When my youngest was born raw goats milk saved her life. Long story short I was in a store with her she was about 3 weeks old & a lady who worked there (I didn't know her) asked to see my daughter. Later that night she knocked on my door with a jar of goats milk. She would bring me fresh milk twice a day for my daughter. My daughter is now 46 because of this lady.

    I loved the fresh yogurt, cottage cheese, and ice cream in addition to drinking over a gallon of milk a day when I had my dairy goats (a Nubian and Alpine).

      @@rickovsky980 we have paper milk strainers. The metal filter allows some particulate and hair through unfortunately.

    Thank you for showing this process of pasteurization. And, especially for not giving judgement about which is best for you - just the facts about possible negatives and positives. So many people are judgemental about it. They forget not everyone is in the same situation they are, especially health wise.

      Try to get it fresh from a farm near you. The stuff at the store, imo, doesn't taste good at all. Unless, perhaps someone out there knows a brand that is sold at stores that does taste yummy?

    I grew up on a dairy farm. We had fresh cow milk daily right out of the tank. It was so good. Ain't nothing like it. Whole milk is close but not the same.

      American whole milk is é.5% fat .. I guess it isn't really whole because they take a bunch of the fat out... Out of the vote it is 4.5ish...

      @@jenniferr2057 it's pasteurized. We have whole milk with vitamin d added. We have 2% milk which is basically 2%milk fat and 98% water. And 1% and skim.. I think those just taste like water. We prefer whole milk

      I also grew up on a dairy farm and we always drank milk straight out of the tank. I used to go to the house that the tank was and take a big cup and get a big cup full sometimes drank two big cups of the really cold milk was so good. Alway raw.

    Can you do a video on prepare goat meat and cooking a recipe? My hubby states he can’t get past the smell and I have eaten goat and really did not know it was any different from another red meat.

    i started drinking goats milk not long ago thanks to you guys and i do feel like its better for me and i feel like its made my bones stronger, so thanks guys 😃 also its good to see the pigs are doing great, they say mud is good for your skin so why not wallow in it? i meant the pigs lol but mud is good for us too, just not the water😄😆💗

    My mom switched us to goat milk because she had ulcers for awhile. Bought it from 2 sisters outside of town so I'm thinking it was raw. Didn't like the taste at all but got used to after awhile. Finally though went back to regular milk

    Can you use dry ice, with regular ice an water to drop those Temps quicker?.

    Why not use a double boiler for pasteurizing? So you dont have to be quite so careful about the stirring?

      Even with a double boiler you want to stir it constantly so all the milk is getting to the same temperature at the same time.

    I love goats milk but boy is it hard to get here in Australia guys it’s about $6 for a one

      I am in Victoria and we have a great goat farm here in the northeast. Tolpuddle Farm. They will ship, but goats are out for the winter so no milk at the moment.

    How long is the goat milk good for in the fridge when it is raw and when it is pasteurized?
    I found a small Micro Farm here that I get eggs from and originally wanted buy her cow milk and butter.. but her cows ran dry and won't be producing for like 9 months till they re-calf. She does goat milk to.. but this part is new to me so was just learning here.

    I love goat milk, I drink a 16oz cup every morning, how long does a raw milk last in the fridge? I get about 3 liters a day and I can only drink so much.

    I'm lactose intolerant, when I was little because I had colic the Dr said try goats milk and it worked but now I can't find a bottle of goats milk anywhere
