I’ve learned everything about birthing my goats from YOU. Now I’m attempting cheese and doubt I would have ventured forth without you. I am almost 70 yrs old and this new lifestyle with goats is the best in my life. I 🙏 thank you so much,! About to start warming my 3 gallons goat milk. 🤞🤞🤞
Can u explain the drying out process and aging process please. I’ve watched a ton of videos on this and yours by far is my favorite. I’ll definitely try this. Thank u again.

My goodness is there Anything you don't do... You are an Amazing Lady! From being a Wife, Momma, Veterinarian (to your personal animals) & someone who makes their own 🧀 🐐 goat cheese... I can't help but think of the children's story about eating their Curry & way... ( May have spelled Curry wrong)...
11:49 I’m not sure about goat milk, but when I use cow milk, I enjoy eating cheddar while it’s young. Where I live, cheddar cheese curds are a real delicacy. I also enjoy it aged, but young cheddar is wonderful.
I love your channel. I have learned so much about cheese making. It takes a lot of patience for sure and trial and error. You and your handy dandy notebook!
Really enjoyed this video! I don't like cheddar and have no interest in learning to make cheese so, the fun is just all about watching/listening to you in action. Never miss a video...
I’m fascinated watching this whole process and have a whole new appreciation for cheese. I never knew how it was made or how long it took. I’m amazed by how much work you do and you never seem exhausted Thanks for sharing all these awesome videos!
@@BlueCactusDairyGoats between you and Danelle I've learned so much. You've changed all my "can I's?" To "I can". You're the real deal and I hope you go far.
I just read that you can use whey for soups in replacement of stock. Wow this cheese making is interesting. I love trying to find ways to be self sustaining and use every little bit of the of the resources our great planet gives us. Thanks so much for your videos! Definitely loving them all!
I am a goat cheese maker aholic now lol 😂 I love the cheese part !! Milk is awesome but the mmmmm that is so good from the cheese I get is a thanks to you !! Thank you !!
First time watching you make cheese...damn, that's a lot of work. You really got my attention when you said you would use the whey to make ricotta. I'm part Italian and could pretty much live off of ricotta (that's why I don't keep it on hand a lot). Not sure if you have done a video on that, I'll check. Thank you ❤️🐐
Oh wow set some pretty cheese I don't think I've ever ate goat milk cheese it looks delicious❤ I love all kinds of cheese even blue cheese I wonder if I would like goat milk cheese😮
Great teaching video, Crystal! I like that you're going to be taking slices off this wheel so you can evaluate the progress as it ages. This is where you really get to see the changes from the inside-out. Love it.
Hey Crystal I forgot to comment on the hubs’ last video.....to finish his statement.... AT INDIANA BEACH 🎶 🎵 🎼 We used to live in Brownsburg IN! Guessing he lived somewhere in Indy??? Love your cheese videos! Miss having goats but live on highway and they would always get out 😳. Kristy in Missouri 😃
Dude!! I am new to this channel and I am super excited to to try all the cheese recipes. My husband is still fighting with me about getting goats...but it's only a matter of time...BWAHAHAHA. LOL
My son has been after me to make hard cheeses. Your step by step instructions are eating my fears. Gonna have to take the plunge and just do it! Will you be doing a segment on making ricotta? I have whey from making farmer's cheese and would love to make additional products.
@@BlueCactusDairyGoats Looking at cheese press, stock pot and slotted spoon that you have listed now. Maybe a refresher on your "hillbilly cheese cave".
This one is super expensive, but it should hopefully lead you to other products that are more affordable and don't look so "chromed out". lol You can find them under curd harp/cheese harp. I was trying to find something easier for you. I was going to put the link, then realized it was a Canadian one, so that's not so good for you. lol But there should be some on the US version of Etsy. Stay safe, as always!!! 💖😊
Have you tried to smoke the cheese?? I have a friend here and every Christmas he smokes a bunch of cheeses for people. Taste sooooo good lol.. give Derrick something to do as if he dont have enough as is lmao

Are you happy with that cheese press? Is there other ways to not use cheese cloth but something else like a plastic holed mat or something? Great video.
Interesting fact about Uganda in africa is they have no cheese makers . all the cheese is imported im on a mission to change that .

Yay!! Get it gurl!!! 🤗🤗🤗
Isn't it amazing that someone way back in our collective past invented cheese! Now it's universal and common place! 😎🧡🐐
I'm guessing nobody invented cheese. It was likely found in the udders of dead animals from colder climates by indigenous peoples.
Can u explain the drying out process and aging process please. I’ve watched a ton of videos on this and yours by far is my favorite. I’ll definitely try this. Thank u again.

A good treat for little kids is using rennet to make curds and whey. I have even made it using chocolate milk before. Yum.
Ok master goat lady now your going to be a master at cheese

why do the curds remind me of egg mayo with lots of mayo minus the yolks? XD lol :) xxx

#2 comment swag!!! Love your videos and goats and homestead!
This is fascinating, I had no idea goat milk can turn into anything like cow's milk. I just thought goat milk can only make butter.
Other than the temperature differences, what are the differences between the colby and Cheddar?

Omg, I'm exhausted just watching you. I hope this gives you the best cheese.
Can you do this with previously frozen milk?
This is totally off subject but you look really pretty with your hair down!!!!!
Lol. Thank you!

Great video.
can do do another video on other cheeses as well please
Knife at a 45 degree angle will prevent having to cut the cuts with the laddle both directing just like up and down or you could get a curd harp.
so when u can't get any of these extra products your adding from any stores... and only got the goats & nature.... how would you do this same process?
So how did it turn out?
Have you made cheese curds for snacking?
Have you ever tried making cheese with goats milk that has been frozen? Wondering if it is worth trying with extra I have in teh freezer...
Shouldn't we boil the milk first to kill any dangerous bacteria?
What is it that makes it cheddar as opposed to your colby cheese?
Where did you buy that beautiful press?
