Thanks for all yours tips Olivio, it is really useful. If you could have some tips to manage black color on CMYK document in Publisher, it would be great. I found a lot of topic in affnity Forum concerning this : Black becoming for color black, black shadows becoming 4 colors shadows, etc... but no "real" solution. Any idea ?

Very helpful and clear. Just one thing - the phrase is text "wrap", not "warp", though it is easy to see how you might confuse them. "Wrap" is what you do with the paper you put around Xmas presents. "Warp" is to bend or distort, though mostly it is used in sci-fi to talk about a faster-than-light rocket power!

Thank you so much for the video, very helpful. Just a quick tip for you: Wrap is a different word than Warp - Wrap - pronounced rap - is text wrapping like wrapping a Christmas gift in gift paper. Warp - pronounced worp - is like in Star Trek when the spaceship goes really fast it goes at warp speed.

Watching this to try and decide if I need Publisher when I already have Designer. The right-click to convert to text frame w/ the pen line works in AD too that's cool :-D .. by the end I'm not convinced I need it but if you do a future video comparing it to AD with all the uses that are specifically different I'd watch it and maybe buy it. I've got the free trial now, so maybe I'll convince myself :)

HELP! I have a document that I print each week for our church. At the top of the page there is a text box with 4 lines of copy. I want the lines to be adjusted to the right of the page. When I used a carriage return at the end of each line the space between the lines is too much. Is there a way to adjust the space between the lines?

I find fine control of text in a frame rather hit and miss. It took me ages to realise that frame control is not identical in Publisher and Designer and there are almost too many ways to adjust the space around paragraphs. I'd like some suggestions on how best to have your studios and text styles set-up for consistent and quick design. (A general complaint of mine about Affinity is that there is insufficient emphasis on text as opposed to pretty pictures...

Hi Olivio, excellent tips, thank you so much. I have a question. I have placed a long Word document into the Affinity Publisher document, and it spreads around 800 pages. How do I remove the auto-hyphenation from all the linked text frames at once without having to select each one?
Never mind, I figured it out :D. I selected one text frame and then Select All from the menu and then unchecked the "Use auto-hyphenation" option.

It kind of depends on the content of the ads you design, but i would either go with Designer or Affinity Photo. Publisher is mor of books and brochures

Olivio Sarikas That’s encouraging. Does it have a specific section that would be user-friendly for that specific purpose? Or would getting a hard copy be problematic? Do you have recommendations for those of us who enjoy designing cards and have been disappointed to find that there are no *card design* specific apps for our beloved Mac platform?
Why does Publisher not have any clip art kinda of a real issue for me. There old software Serif came with clip art.
I don't know, but try freepik. you can use it either free with attribution or pay a little without attribution. their stock is absolutely amazing
