Adobe is getting so greedy that its funny how greed can screw up good software. I know Adobe doesn't care about us normal folks but when businesses start doing the jump then it will hurt them no doubt.

i hung onto CS6 because Im retired. I paid adobe from the 90s. i can't stand that for 25 years I helped them develop their software and then they do the subscription thing. I have a 7D and until the other day the camera raw version ii used cs6 could open. Now adobe have made it so I need to subscibe to get a cc new version of that software. instead of 7.1 opening them it is now a higher number. affinity photo opens all those canon cr2 files in raw for me. Adobe will never get another cent from me for anything, Youknow they were a great company in the 90s and early 00s. they have got greedy like microsoft for word. Should be a law stopping what they did. how can home office go from say 60 dollars every few years, when you get a new computer maybe. Lets face it why would I subscibe to just write articles or work on photos. We have all paid a lot for the development of code, how dare they start renting it. New work ok if that's how you're going but not word processors and photo edit software. Really pleased there a companies like these guys, the big companies that have got too greedy will suffer. They kind of created a need for these companies to step in. I'm happy to pay people for their work but not over and over for the same thing. I only got paid once for my work all my working life and disgusts me that the software we really all have to communicate our ideas or keep info should be a pay once thing. Thank you for the info. very informative.

Good Lord...this is amazing software. I remember doing all this with Adobe and the one thing I recall, is how much time it took to plan out my workflow and organization just to create a project using Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign. This sofware would have saved me a lot of time. I made the switch....time to learn the Affinity way of doing things.

I used InDesign for about 20 years and Quark occasionally. I was really tired of the cost of an InDesign subscription and tried out Affinity Publisher. I love it. @@OlivioSarikas : Outline is such a confusing word. As a graphics designer you'd think of the outline of a shape. I was trying to convey the alpha-numerical sequence in which you would order s manual, reflected in a table of contents. For example:
      I. The first section.
      A. The first subsection.
      1. Further developments.
      a. A point about that.
      b. Etc.
