      But that goes against all that God teaches. The Lord said that we must deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Jesus. In order to please God, we must deny ourselves. We cannot be the rulers of our lives. That place is only meant for God. The Bible also says that in the last days men shall be lovers of their own selves. This woman may be a millionaire but if she were to die today and had not repented and had a true salvation experience, and does not have Jesus in her heart and living free from all sin, she will not make Heaven. That stands true for all of us.
      SELF cannot be on the throne of our lives.

    At 60 she didn’t know she’ll see 82…I think we should all enjoy the age we are at and not stress about gtng older. I’ve seen older ppl do amazing things and give me guidance it is so appreciated.

      I completely agree. The passing of time might mean chapters of our life close but it doesn’t mean our stories are over. There is always something to look forward to! Enjoy life because we are given the time to do so.

    I once read a quote that says the true freedom is when you don’t need to lie, it’s quite profound for being your true self and don’t care how other would react…

    • @carefulcarpenter
      @carefulcarpenter Рік тому +12

      True!
      In 2000 I made it my goal to myself not to lie. Not that I was, but "little-white-lies, half-truths, and lies by omission "---- these are the tricky ways that we falsely believe that we are honest and sincere. It is tricky to tell the truth 100% of the time to a culture that lies every single day. The reasons people lie usually fall in the grey area of not telling the whole truth(context).
      "Truth is context-driven; deceit is agenda-driven. Those not interested in accurate evidence are not interested in truth."

    Its perfectly fine to make mistakes and choose the wrong path when you're young, but once you hit your late 20's you have to be mindful of your direction and choices in life. Nobody wants to admit they have regrets, and even old people who claim they "don't give a shit anymore" will save face and claim this even when they do.
    Once you're matured and more mindful its all on you for where you end up. Its on you to learn about the things you need, to invest wisely, to grind so your future is easier.
