For their points, hell yeah. Looking at them through the lense of points/wound and the cost to upgrade from the verions/Pcaster/lord it's crazy. Pcaster 65 points, 5 points more gets a termie sorc. 5 points gives you +1 wound, +1 save, a 4++, +1 T, deepstrike, and -1 D in melee for attached unit. Wild.

Great job 👏 Was thinking - what would potentially be a great series is to run through a great DG list to counter every other 40K army? Loads of content potential and would be super useful for DG players to know what’s effective against any specific faction. Just a thought 👍
I also love the LoC he does so much damage! Especially when paired with deadly pathogen, had a game where he alone killed a PBC in one activation (yes a bit lucky but still stands) :D
Thanks Aiden. Blightlords w OC2 and change the reroll 1’s to wound to reroll save rolls of 1 would be a nice buff to fix them. Even if they went up a couple PPM
LoC also pairs insanely well with sanguous flux, I've had him and only three deathshroud wipe an entire block of 10 termies + abbadon in a single turn by just fishing for crits
I recently had a fun 4000 vs 4000p Game against orks and brought my 5 Blightlords to get to the points. They shot, half of it hit nothing, the charged, they made the charge, they hit like damp cloth and then died. As I came home, I instantly bashed them into 3 Deathshrouds, 1 Lord of Contagion (didnt have one before) and 1 Sorcerer (had one, but I like goin to the casino), and now they have purpose and regulary leave the shelve to wreak havoc.
I think the Terminator Lord with living plague is silly. Maybe not AS efficient, and randomness always kind of hurts, but a 25" bubble of mortals if you get him stuck in the middle is also honestly more powerful than you're giving credit for. It's likely to do on the order of 5-6 mortals per player turn, of course depending on how crowded the center of the board is, but it isn't crazy for a 25" bubble to touch 6 enemy units in the midboard.
Can you substitute lord felthius for the LOC? And how do grenades work? I know his data sheet has a spot for the grenade. I’m very new to DG and 40K in general
im currently building a deathshroud focused list (3x msu, maybe 1x msu + 1x6) leading by LoC w/ pathogen, LoV and Typhus because these were my first DG modells and i really like to play them. I still like the plague bus, but im currently a bit tired of it (so i play only one) and with some war dogs, maybe a knight despoiler, plus some blight drones, pbc and so on. whtat do you think?
Please sir! May we have some more perfect plague episodes! Or at least a PP light where you just guide us how to deploy and what to kill first vs a specific army and/or detachment in a quick video per army.
@@deathguarddisgustinglyresilien Kil the biovore first was a great piece of advice I have used sucessfully. That is plenty. Kill A, B, C, and beware of gunk unit X. And ignore Z because it only looks scary. Those instructions I can follow to a T!
Typhus is soo good. Shoutouts to our boy completely avoiding the lone op nerf. (～￣▽￣)～ The indirect nerf has honestly hurt the Lord of Virulence a bit. I still think the wound rerolls on the big flamer brick of Deathshroud is fun, but I'm also not in love with that unit anymore and think the Sorcerer works better in a 3-man.
Ive had LoC and 3 DS take out Carnis Rex twice in one teams event, and one of the games was LoC and 1Ds with sustain1. defiantly took my opponents off guard.
I wish the LoC model was commercially available. I know I could buy off eBay but I’m holding out hope that they’ll release the model along with our Codex. Lord Felthius is just… the worst

Trying to redo my approach to the series its hard to know what to cover given codexs have such varying detachs but i will get back on it
