Hello! I get this question in clinic a lot, "Can I get pregnant if I have unprotected sex on my period?" I want to answer this question fully, and I want you to understand why the answer is “yes, but if you’re confident in your timing it’s highly unlikely.” ✩ Related Videos: → My experience with the pull-out method & getting off of hormonal birth control: ua-cam.com/video/4Ll7rv2OL8A/v-deo.html → Birth control & gut health: ua-cam.com/video/Dr2i27aCSTU/v-deo.html → All about the clitoris: ua-cam.com/video/BZ4kbOjm-BY/v-deo.html → All about the female g-spot: ua-cam.com/video/pTtT_RyGyb0/v-deo.html → All about the female orgasm: ua-cam.com/video/xI5_GaqrNZo/v-deo.html Know there is no shame in asking this question! Hello 🙋! I'm here to get a confirmation about this please I had sex on the first day of my period, at the very beginning stage of it. The period lasted till the following day and eventually ended on the third day. Though I've not experienced any signs of pregnancy yet, but i just want to confirm if it might, or if i can do something to prevent it from occurring
Thank you so much I’ve been watching a lots of videos but this here is so helpful, i didn’t understand but now I am Thank you for uploading please keep doing it I hope to see you again good job 👏 👏👏👏👏👏🤩🥳😎
Aww, I really can't tell you how much the kind and encouraging words mean to me. This is a passion project for me -- I work a full time job. Hearing that this video was helpful to you, and that you now understand something you didn't before makes it all worthwhile ❤ I will continue to make videos! I am uploading one today all about birth control and gut health :)
Hmm, I am not sure! A missed period can be caused by a number of things other than pregnancy -- including stress or a change in routine. I remember I once missed a period in college because (I think, at least) I started a new exercise routine!
Wow, thank you so much -- so glad it was helpful. I really appreciate the kind words! This channel is a passion project -- can't tell you how much I appreciate the gentle encouragement ❤
Very informative video. Thank you for taking the time to spell things out about something so important. Im 34.5 years old and for as long as I can remember (including all of my 20s), I have had a 1.5/2-day break in bleeding about 3/4 days into my period, and then a continuation of bleeding (much lighter) for 3 to 5 more days. I’ve never bled less than 7 days every cycle. All bleeding days are pretty decently light. Does this pause in bleeding mean anything?
Thank you so much for watching & the kind words! Hmm, the pause in bleeding you're sharing doesn't bring anything significant into the forefront of my mind -- unless it is accompanied by a lot of pain? If that's the case, I'd chat with my OB/GYN! I've heard of a lot of variation in cycles in my line of work, but I'm not usually alarmed unless there are other symptoms associated with the pause. Have you talked to other healthcare providers about this?
Thanks for replying! Nope no pain associated with the pause, ever, so that’s good! I just got news from my GP that I have two intramural fibroids. It hurts a lot when I bear down a little bit in the bathroom. My GP didn’t recommend anything. How often should it be checked and when should I see a gynocologist? If you have already done a video on that, that would be amazing!
@@jojob987654 So glad it's not a painful pause! As far as uterine fibroids go -- I treat women who have been dx with uterine fibroids that are not causing any symptoms, in which case they usually decide not to treat them (get them removed). Other women have told me about uterine fibroids that cause abdominal pain/painful periods/painful toileting and they have chosen to get them removed. Unfortunately, uterine fibroid management is outside of my scope of practice. I think, if you have a GYN that you trust, it would be great to make an appointment with her or him and chat about your options/see if the right call is to "watch and wait," or if the uterine fibroids could be related to the pain you experience bearing down in the bathroom! If the GYN rules out the fibroid-involvement in the pain with bearing down in the bathroom, that pain could be related to your pelvic floor (in which case seeing a pelvic physical therapist could be helpful!) Great video topic idea, I will add that to my request list! Let me know if I can be helpful in any other way, and best of luck to you!
About two weeks ago I had sex on my " period " but by the end of the night my period stopped out of no where, and I had my period for about three days. Iv been waiting to take a test for it to be long enough to do so, but meanwhile, my back has been hurting, emotional, my nipple hurts mainly when they are colder , my stomach cramps in a way, I get sick when I take hot showers, I'm breaking out, and Iv had a sore throat recently, and had white discharge come out that kind of smells and I'm VERY bloated. About a week I took a test, and it was negative. I'm not sure if it was really negative, or was too early to take the test. What do you think ?
Generally speaking, waiting about 2-4 weeks after the sexual encounter in question is enough time for a pregnancy test to be accurate. If you're still concerned, you can always check back in with another test closer to the 4 week mark 😊 Wishing you safety and health during this uncertain time!
What if I have unprotected sex at the end of my period? Are the chances of me getting pregnant higher? And how many days after my period will ovulation start?
The chances of you getting pregnant are higher if you have unprotected sex at the end of your period. As far as how many days after your period ovulation starts, that actually varies woman to woman! You'd need to track your cycle to know for sure when that begins for you, but typically ~2 weeks!
My period came 1 day and a half early and I hand unprotected sex everyday for about five days leading up to that so “out of my ovulation window” I’ve been so hungry and a tiredness that I’ve only ever felt during pregnancy. I do not want to be pregnant right now😭
That's a good question! I cannot give individualized medical advice, but I can share my personal experience! I have about a 4-5 day period, and only have unprotected sex within the first 2 days for the reasons I shared in this video. That being said, I do think the chances are still lower in the 3rd day of my period. If you are at all concerned, I recommend taking a pregnancy test! Don't hesitate to reach out with any other questions, and I wish you nothing but the best ❤
You can technically get pregnant any day of your period pending on potential early ovulation, but the first two days of true menstrual bleeding are the lowest risk during your cycle ❤️
i had sex like 2 weeks ago and then i was feeling weriod the next day when i went school for testing or what ever and then i had my period after first i thought i was spoting because the blood was light but then i notice it was my period i just came off my period and 3 weeks i been craving for crab legs and my auntie just said that she hope i wasn't pregnant the boy i had sex with we always have unprotected sex and now its making me wanna go get a pregnancy test tommar i am very scard i am only 18 years old and now i dont know what to do.
Hi Zyian, I think if you are suspecting pregnancy, taking a pregnancy test is a great place to start. That way, you can figure out if you need to put a lot of energy into deciding what to do, or if you can relax knowing you have nothing to worry about ❤ I am so sorry to hear that you are feeling scared and anxious -- let me know if you have any specific questions, and don't hesitate to take the test to find out!
I am PCOS & missed my period, i was prescribed letrozole and was told to start taking it right away Since i did not receive my period. I was told once I’m done taking the tablets for 5 days, i would be spotting. At first it was a light pink spot but now it’s dark red, it’s been a week now and it still hasn’t stopped. My breasts aches sometimes & i get headaches. What is happening?
First and foremost, I am sorry you're experiencing bleeding, breast- and head-aches. While I cannot give individualized medical advice, I can share the following: - it seems that Letrozole can be used, "off-label," to help facilitate the termination of a pregnancy ( www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4621653/ ) - looking at the potential side-effects from this medication ( www.drugs.com/cdi/letrozole.html ), I did find nothing abnormal vaginal bleeding and headaches (as headaches can be caused by increased blood pressure) - given your symptoms, I think it would be very, very beneficial to follow-up with the physician who prescribed this, tell him/her your symptoms, and make sure that everything you're experiencing is normal/okay Please do not hesitate to reach out with other questions, and I wish you nothing but the best ♥️
I'm sorry to hear that. Like I explained in this video, the chances are low if you time it correctly, but of course there are many variables at play that could still result in pregnancy. I hope that you and your ex-girl are able to move forward together and make decisions from a place of love and support. I wish you both only the best ❤
my period is ranging more than seven days..like after 7days i still have a blood spot..then after that spots it stop..on my 6th day period i have a unprotected sex..can i get pregnant?
Hi! Yes, technically you could get pregnant at any time during your period if you were to have early ovulation for any reason. That being said, the lowest risk days are the first two days of your period, and if you have a longer menstruation cycle you may ovulate later as well, but you’ll only know if you start charting/take ovulation tests to see! It’s a hard question to answer straightforwardly because everyone’s cycle is so different! Essentially, sperm can live in the vagina for up to 5 days in the right environment, so as long as you had unprotected sex longer than 5 days before you ovulate you should, in theory, be in the clear! Please let me know if you have any other questions ❤️
Soo...i had unprotected sex a few days before my period started and my boyfriend told me he”released” in me....my question is could i be pregnant giving the fact that he released in me a few days before my period came ?
Lil Shawty but thats the think im trying to have a kid..i just dont know if i am because my period came a few days after he told me that he “released” in me
First of all, congratulations on trying to conceive! What an exciting time ❤️ As far as your question, if you’ve already gotten your period-a true period-you very very very likely aren’t pregnant. Since you are trying, have you thought about tracking ovulation? You can try charting or even purchase strips that can test whether or not you’re ovulating, and try having sex around ovulation time 😊 So excited for you and yours 💕 wishing you all the best!
Hey, I so appreciate your concern, and I'm honored you're comfortable asking me, thank you. There is always a risk of pregnancy any time you have unprotected sex during any time of your cycle -- some times are simply higher/lower risk than others. That being said, I cannot give individualized medical advice, and I have no way of knowing how much of a risk there is in your specific case, as menstrual cycles and ejaculate vary greatly depending on the persons. If you're at all concerned, you can always take a pregnancy test ~2 weeks after the sexual act in question, and again ~4 weeks after to be certain. I wish I could be more helpful! Wishing you the best 💛

Hi. I really enjoyed your video. I have a question So recently I had sex on my second day of my menstrual cycle. It was protected, but during pullout the condom came off. As far as I know nothing was on or in me. I took precautions and still bought a Plan-b 3 hours later. I’m planning on getting birth control soon. What are my risks with a pregnancy? Will the pill take full affect on my period? Will I experience a early period this month? Thank you please reply.
Hi! I'm so glad the video was helpful for you, and I'm honored you're comfortable asking me these questions. That being said, I cannot give individualized medical advice, I can only share general knowledge. With this in mind, per your questions: 1. Because I do not know the details of your cycle or your partners ejaculate, it's impossible for me to answer this question. However, given that you used protection, don't feel that any ejaculate got inside of your vagina, and that you took Plan-B 3 hours later, it seems like you've successfully lowered your risk of pregnancy. Plan-B, when taken within 72 hours of having sex, by itself is 75-89% effective! If you're at all concerned, you can always take a pregnancy test ~2 weeks after the sexual incident in question. 2. I'm not sure what you're asking, but birth control pills take about a week or so to become effective in protecting against pregnancy. Were you asking that or something different? 3. I don't know if you'll experience an early period this month, but Plan B can cause some bleeding between true periods. I wish I could be more helpful! Wishing you the best 💛
@@PelvicEmpowerment Thank you for replying, and thank you for answering them as well. Yes I was asking if birth control pills are affective on my period. I do feel confident that I took control of the situation since I watched your video. My period is irregular but it has been happening every two to three weeks recently, and it actually stopped today. Thank you so much for your advice it has helped me.
@@makenzietownsend8768 Of course 😊 Yes, BC pills are effective on your period, and I'm so glad that you feel confident in how you handled the situation! Happy to help 💛
Had unprotected sex 2 days into my period. Not on BC nor did I ever take an emergency contraceptive. Can I still get pregnant? Started period on March 29th, Monday. Had unprotected sex on the 30th. Ended my period on the 2nd. I normally go 5 full days. Lighter towards the end. Finished period on the friday. But now I'm worried.
Hey, I'm sorry you're feeling worried, that's a totally valid feeling. So, there is always a risk of pregnancy any time you have unprotected sex during any time of your cycle -- some times are simply higher/lower risk than others. That being said, having unprotected sex during the first 2 days of your true period is statistically the lowest risk time for most people. My husband and I have done this for years without any scares, and I am also not on BC or taking emergency contraceptives! But, unfortunately, I have no way of knowing how much of a risk there is in your specific case, as menstrual cycles and ejaculate vary greatly depending on the persons. That being said, if you're at all concerned, you can always take a pregnancy test ~2 weeks after the sexual act in question, and again ~4 weeks after to be certain! I wish I could be more helpful! i had sex on the second and third day of my period. the first time he didn’t come, and the second he pulled out. i also didn’t ovulate until 10 days from the days i had sex, which is today. should i be worried?
Hi! While there is never a 100% guarantee of not being pregnant when having sex other than abstinence, it seems that the odds are very, very low because: 1. The first two days of your period are an incredibly “safe” time to have unprotected sex. Generally speaking, unprotected sex at anytime during you period is still relatively “low risk,” so day 3 would be considered relatively low risk as well. 2. When performed correctly, the pull out method is 96% effective at preventing pregnancy. So! If you had unprotected sex at a low risk time during your cycle and your partner correctly performed the pull out method, I think the chances are very low ❤️ If you're at all worried, you can always take a pregnancy test around 2 weeks after the sexual encounter that worries you. Wishing you the best 💕
Technically there is always a possibility of becoming pregnant when having unprotected sex pending on when you ovulate! How risky it is to have sex the day after your period depends on when you ovulate as well. If you usually ovulate a week or so after your period, you should be okay. But if you ovulate soon after your period, there is certainly a chance of pregnancy-it depends on the woman and her cycle. I wish I could give you a clearer answer and be more helpful! Wishing you only the best ❤️
The second day of your period is one of the safest days in your cycle to have unprotected sex ❤️ As far as the menstrual disk-I’ve not used one before. I know the cups create a sort of suction around the cervix, does the disk do something similar? Either way, if it decreases sperm’s ability to get to the cervix, it could, in theory, decrease the chance of pregnancy-although it’s not something I’ve learned about before. I wish I could be more helpful! Wishing you only the best 💕

That being said, having unprotected sex during the first 2 days of your true period is statistically the lowest risk time for most people. The last day of your period may be less riskier than other times, but isn't statistically in the "lowest risk" timeframe. Unfortunately, I have no way of knowing how much of a risk there is in your specific case, as menstrual cycles and ejaculate vary greatly depending on the persons. That being said, if you're at all concerned, you can always take a pregnancy test ~2 weeks after the sexual act in question, and again ~4 weeks after to be certain! If you have unprotected sex before your period you can get pregnant, yes! You can technically get pregnant any time during your cycle, the chances are just significantly lower the first two days of your period ❤️ Wishing you the best!
Pelvic Empowerment my period (blood) only last 4 day.. and we had sex yesterday on my period and he cam inside of me.. but yesterday was my last day so I’m worried I’ll be pregnant
@@Neishianadiaaa Oh my gosh, don't apologize. No worries at all :) That fear is totally valid, but I do think the odds are still in your favor. While there is a lower risk for pregnancy, I would still only recommend unprotected sex in the first 1-2 days of your period. If you are concerned, you can always take Plan B (which is very effective if taken with the first 24 hours!), or wait about 2 weeks or so and take a pregnancy test! I wish you only the best ❤
Hiii, okay, plz answer, i have a implant, for birth control, i have had it for 18 days, and im on my period, he came out but is there a probability thats i might get pregnant ?
It sounds like you had unprotected sex during your period and your partner used the pull-out method! While there is never a 100% guarantee of not being pregnant (other than abstinence), I think the odds are very, very low because: 1. The first two days of your period are an incredibly “safe” time to have unprotected sex. Generally speaking, unprotected sex at anytime during you period is still relatively “low risk.” 2. When performed correctly, the pull out method is 96% effective at preventing pregnancy. So! If you had unprotected sex at a low risk time during your cycle and your partner correctly performed the pull out method, I think the chances are very low ❤️ As for the implant, since it’s been more than a week since you had it inserted, it should be effective! So you have the implant’s protection on top of the other statistics which are all in your favor 😊
Hi! While the chance of becoming pregnant always exists when having unprotected sex, the first and second day of your period are considered the "lowest risk" days during your cycle! That being said, the third day is still a relatively "safe" day. If you're at all worried, you can always take a pregnancy test around the two week mark after you had sex just to be sure 💕 Wishing you both only the best!
Madam will a girl become pregnant if had sex during period without protection but sperm are released outside not inside vagina? Since many years i have this question in my mind.
That’s a great question! If sperm is not released inside of the vagina, the only possibility of pregnancy would come from pre-ejaculate during unprotected sex. The likelihood of pregnancy in this scenario is incredibly low because: 1. The sperm count in pre-ejaculate is usually very, very low! 2. Your period is the safest time in your cycle to have unprotected sex, anyway 😊 Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any other questions ❤️ wishing you the best!
Hey I had unprotected period sex yesterday after one and a half days of having my period. He pulled out but my period has now stopped. Could I b pregnant?? Thank you
Hmm, did your period last its usual length? It’s hard for me to say, but what I can share is: 1. If the bleeding was truly your period, the first 2 days of your period are the “safest” time during your cycle to have unprotected sex! The chances of pregnancy are very, very low. 2. When the pull out method is used correctly, it is 96% effective! Pairing the timing of when you had unprotected sex with the use of the pull out method makes me believe that the chances of pregnancy in your case are really low. That being said, the only way to know for sure would be to take a test ❤️ I wish I could be more helpful! Wishing you only the best 💕
Pelvic Empowerment omg thank u so so much, you are amazing!!! Yeah the bleeding was definitely my period and it stopped after two days straight after sex. I did buy the morning after pill to be safe. So yeah pence again thank you very very much❤️❤️
Hi! The first two days of your period are by far the safest days to have unprotected sex during your cycle! While the possibility does exist, the likelihood is incredibly low. You’d have to have to ovulate very, very early. I’ve had unprotected sex during the first two days of my period with my husband for two years now without any pregnancy scares ❤️ Don’t hesitate to ask any other questions. Wishing you only the best 💕
@@PelvicEmpowerment what about having unprotected sex 2 days before your period and then u ended up getting your period (light bleeding ) the same day with cramps ?
I came on my period yesterday but i had unprotected sex today while being on my period and he did let sperm out but it only last a few minutes but it was alot so idk if its possible for me to get pregnant....
Technically you can get pregnant at any time during your period if you were to experience early ovulation for any reason - but the first two days of true menstrual bleeding are the lowest risk during your cycle. My husband and I have been having unprotected sex during those first two days for years now without any issues ❤️
Hi.. I had sex week before my period starts. I’ve been off birth control for 90 days so my period start days aren’t always the same. Yesterday I tried to conceive and today I spotted and after that was no more blood. Please help me out!! Thanks idk if I could be pregnant
Hi! Apologies for my late response, my husband and I are on our honeymoon ❤️ Hmm, coming off of the pill can be tricky. I also experienced irregular periods and on/off spotting during the first few months after I got off of hormonal birth control. Spotting doesn’t necessarily mean you are or aren’t pregnant, since the spotting can be related to implantation bleeding (which would mean you are pregnant, although a day after would be a quick turn around for it) or your period (which would mean you aren’t!) or it could be ovulation spotting - I really wish I could be more helpful. Do you have access to a pregnancy test? Either way, it sounds like you are trying to conceive! That’s exciting ❤️ I wish you and yours success and a happy, healthy pregnancy 😊
Pelvic Empowerment Congrats on your marriage!! And yes I am currently trying to conceive. I do have access to pregnancy test I just don’t know when is the right time to take one. We just tried again 5 days after my period hopefully it works! I’m going to try to take another test 2 weeks from the day I tried again!
Thank you, and I’m so happy for you!! Regarding pregnancy tests, I’ve always learned to take 1 test about two weeks after you’ve had sex, and a 2nd test two weeks after that to confirm the first test’s results. I wish you the best of luck! What an exciting time ❤️
The risk for pregnancy always exists at anytime during your cycle, there is no day where you can't get pregnant. Instead, there are simply times during the cycle that are the "lower risk" than others ❤️
If you got your true period you aren’t pregnant, and two days before your period you can still get pregnant-there are no 100% “safe” days to have unprotected sex, only days that are “lower risk” than others as I said ❤️
Hi i had sex on the first day of my period and today will be the 1st day of period but my period is not yet coming is there a possibility that i'm pregnant?
Hi! I’m so sorry for my delayed response, my husband and I are honeymooning! The first day of your period, statistically speaking, is the “safest” day to have unprotected sex-so long as you’re confident it’s truly your period! That being said, there is always a chance, although that chance is very, very small the first days of your period. I wish I could be more helpful - did your period come? Wishing you only the best ❤️
Yes, a woman can get pregnant at any time during her cycle if she has unprotected sex. There is no such thing as a 100% "safe" time to have unprotected sex, there are simply times that are lower risk than others ❤️
My period last only 4 days and I had unprotected sex on my 3rd day . I now have brown discharge a week later. Is there a chance I can be pregnant . Is it too early to test
Hey! There is always a chance of pregnancy when having unprotected sex, there are just "higher" and "lower" risk times throughout your cycle. Having sex on your period is considered "lower" risk, but a risk remains. Usually taking a pregnancy test ~2 weeks after the sexual encounter in question, and then a second one ~4 weeks after to confirm the result, is what is recommended! Wishing you the best ♥️
There is no 100% risk-free time during your cycle to have sex-there is always a chance that you will become pregnant. There’s simply lower and higher risk times throughout your cycle, and it is impossible for me to know how your individual cycle affects those probabilities ❤️
Hey, there is always a risk of pregnancy any time you have unprotected sex during any time of your cycle -- some times are simply higher/lower risk than others. That being said, while I am honored that you're comfortable asking me for guidance, I cannot give individualized medical advice. Great info!! If you have a 5 day period and had sex 3 days before and got your period there’s a zero chance of pregnancy correct? Also is it possible your body could release more than one mature egg at a time?
So glad it was helpful! Excellent questions. 1. Correct. If you get your period, you are not pregnant -- but it's important to be aware of other forms of bleeding vs. your true period. If you're certain the bleeding you've experienced is your period, then yes, you are not pregnant. 2. Yes. During ovulation, you may release more than one mature egg (if they're both fertilized, you may end up fraternal twins!). But ONLY during ovulation. Your body will not release different eggs at different times throughout your cycle! Wishing you the best 💛
Yes, you can get pregnant when having unprotected sex at any point during your cycle, there are just times that are "more" and "less risky" than others. The 4th day of your period is not the lowest risk time to have unprotected sex, but it is lower risk than other days throughout your cycle. It is really a matter of how close to your period you ovulate! Wishing you only the best 💕
had a 4 day period and had sex the 2nd day of my period 10-12 days after I'm having frequent urine and cramps is this a sign of pregnancy my next period is in 13 days? I'm now 4 dpo
Hey, I really appreciate you feeling comfortable asking me this question, thank you. Unfortunately, I cannot give individualized medical advice, and I have no way of knowing if you're experiencing symptoms related to pregnancy. I recommend taking a pregnancy test ~14 days after the sexual experience in question to find out if you're pregnant ❤️ Wishing you the best!
There is always a chance of pregnancy when having unprotected sex at any point during your cycle. There are simply some days that are lower risk, and some that are higher. The "safest" are the first two days of your period, usually, and I have no way of knowing how low/high risk any other day is for you because I do not know the specifics of your cycle! Wishing you the best 💕
Hey I have a question, so I had unprotected sex while on my period. I got it on Wednesday & we did it on Saturday morning. I’m not 100% sure if he pulled out or not but do you think I have a high chance of pregnancy?
Hi! This is a really good question, and also one that I cannot answer as I have no way of knowing the intricacies of your cycle. If you want to have a better answer to this question in the future, you can always look into fertility tracking/how to get to know your personal cycle, so that you can get a better idea of when you ovulate ❤️ Wishing you health and safety during this uncertain time 🤗

I can't give individualized medical advice, and I have no way of knowing if you are pregnant. However, I can share that pregnancy tests are most effective when taken ~2 weeks after the sexual act in question. If you took three tests ~2 weeks after you had sex and all three were negative, that's a good indicator that you aren't pregnant. If you aren't sure, you can always request a blood test from your doctor ❤️ Wishing you the best!

Hi Caterin! I cannot give individualized medical advice, but I can share that the very first day of your period is, in theory, the safest day to have unprotected sex and that I have had unprotected sex on the first day of my period many-a-time without getting pregnant 💕
i had unprotected sex on the fourth of july 2021 and my period came on that same day i had sex . four days later today im still bleeding . my period usually last 5 days .. could i still have a chance of getting pregnant?
If you got your true period, you aren't pregnant 🧡 That being said, if you're at all concerned, you can always take a test ~2 weeks after the experience in question, and again ~4 weeks after to be extra sure!
Hi, pls I just saw your video and I would like to know, I had unprotected sex the same day my period ended, can I get pregnant, my cycle sometimes are 26 to 27 days can u tell me when ovulation starts, I was told my ovulation starts from the 10 day after my period ends pls reply me as am very curious thanks.
Yes, you can get pregnant, but the chances are lower! To your question about ovulation -- it tends to begin in the "middle"-ish of your cycle. That being said, it can change based on external and internal life factors (stress, a change in diet or exercise, etc.) The only way to know for sure when you are ovulating is to either: 1. track your fertility signs and chart to learn when you are ovulating 2. use ovulation test strips (you can buy them from pharmacies) to learn when you are ovulating Wishing you nothing but the best 💕
Hello. I have a question. Im on my 3rd day of my period according to my cycle tracker and had protected sex with my boyfriend (we used condom). Is there a chance i can get pregnant? Today is also my heaviest flow even though it's my 3rd.is it possible i can get pregnant?. I really need to know. Thank you.
So, condoms are a very effective form of birth control, like in the high 90s I think! 97-98% effective! And, even though statistically the first two days of your true period are the lowest risk for pregnancy (those statistics are through the lens of UNprotected s*x, not protected!), the third day is still a relatively low risk day. I think that since you were using a condom AND you had protected s*x on a lower risk day, the chance of you becoming pregnant, while that chance always exists anytime anyone has s*x, is very, very low!
@@jessacastillo9262 That being said, if you're at all concerned, you can always take a pregnancy test ~2 weeks after the sexual act in question, and again ~4 weeks after to be certain! Wishing you the best 💛
@@PelvicEmpowerment hello. When we say TRUE PERIOD. What does that mean? I have this brownish blood and like a spotting like for day 1 and day 2 of my period. And i have now for my day 3 is a heavy flow menstruation blood. Does that mean that may day 3 is the first day of my true period? I am really confuse and i really need to know thank you
If you got your period, your true period, that means you did not get pregnant from that act of sex. If you have irregular periods, a period doesn't necessarily mean you are not pregnant.
Mam plz reply.. I got period on Thursday night.. and I had sex on Saturday in day time.. it there any chances to get pregnant.. should I go for contraceptive pill? My periods usually last for 4-5 days
Hi! There is always a risk of pregnancy when you have unprotected sex-it’s simply a matter of “lower” or “higher” risk times. I can’t answer your question, unfortunately, because I have no way of knowing the intricacies if your cycle/ovulation. If you’re interested in having a clearer answer in the future, you can always start tracking your fertility signs. Until then, if you’re worried, I recommend taking a pregnancy test 2-4 weeks after the sexual act in question. I wish I could be more helpful! Wishing you health and safety during this uncertain time ❤️
I think that having sex on the 2nd day of your period paired with the withdrawal method would mean for a very low chance of being pregnant, and I would argue the same is true on the 6th day paired with the withdrawal method (when the withdrawal method is used correctly, it has a high efficacy rate! Like 95-96%!) That being said, there is always a chance, even when that chance is small. If you are at all worried, you can always take a pregnancy test in the next 1-2 weeks. Wishing you only the best 💕
Hey, I had unprotected sex on the first day of my period which lasted 5 days, and I also took the pill immediately after intercourse, but this month, it’s been a 4 day delay and my periods haven’t come, what is reason?
Hi! It's hard for me to say -- periods can be affected by a number of things other than pregnancy, including stress/change in diet/starting a new exercise routine/etc. That being said, if you're at all worried, I recommend taking a pregnancy test just to be sure 💕 I wish I could be more helpful -- wishing you only the best 🤗
While there is always a chance of pregnancy, it has been my experience that the first day of a true period is one of the "safest" times to have unprotected sex 💕
hi there ! so i had unprotected sex on the first day of my period. my cycle is normally long, ranging from 31-33 days. i only bleed heavy for 2-3 days and i spot for another 2. i didn’t take a plan b because i thought i could be safe. do you think it’s possible that i could be pregnant ? also great video !! it was very informational :)
Hi! I'm so glad the video was helpful for you 🤗 So, there is always a risk of pregnancy any time you have unprotected sex during any time of your cycle -- some times are simply higher/lower risk than others. That being said, having unprotected sex during the first 2 days of your true period is statistically the lowest risk time for most people. Unfortunately, I have no way of knowing how much of a risk there is in your specific case, as menstrual cycles and ejaculate vary greatly depending on the persons. If you're at all concerned, you can always take a pregnancy test ~2 weeks after the sexual act in question, and again ~4 weeks after to be certain! I wish I could be more helpful! Wishing you the best 💛
First of all, congratulations on trying to conceive! What an exciting time ❤️ As for your question, the possibility of conceiving on your period is possible, but the chances are lower-the most fertile time would be right after your period and leading up to ovulation 💕 Wishing you only the best and a happy, healthy future pregnancy 😊
It’s usually more toward the middle of your cycle, but I can’t know that, unfortunately! However, there are testing strips that you can buy over the counter so you can test when you’re ovulating-or you can start tracking your fertility signs and learn when you’re ovulating that way 😊
Hi. So I have a question. I had unprotected sex 4 times with my bf on my second day of my period. Then I had unprotected sex once on my third day of my period. He never pulled out every time.. is the chance of pregnancy high or low?
The second day of your period is one of the "safest" times to have unprotected sex during your cycle! And while the second day is "safer" than the third day, I'd say that, while the chance of pregnancy always exists, the chances here are lower rather than higher 💕
i had sexual intercourse the 4th day into my period this month & i did it on the 4th of january & my app flo says my ovulation day was the 13th & at first i was like hey there is no way i’m pregnant but it’s now the 30th & i missed my period 3 days ago & im starting to get really gassy like bubbly sensation in my lower abdomin kinda feels like it’s near my uterus it does it on both sides sometimes 1 at a time & i had very mild cramping on like the 26 and 27 and then it stopped & now it’s back again & i felt nauseated this morning & a couple of time throughout the day but nothing major & i have felt tired a little & i have not had any blood come out am i pregnant ? i am a teen so i can’t just go out and buy a pregnancy test. & my periods are also not irregular i rarely miss a period.
Hi Hailey! I'm honored that you're comfortable reaching out to me for guidance; however, I cannot give individualized medical advice. I can only share general information and resources. With that said, know that there is always a risk of pregnancy any time you have unprotected sex during any time of your cycle -- some times are simply higher/lower risk than others. That being said, having unprotected sex during the first 2 days of your true period is statistically the lowest risk time for most people. The 4th day of your period may be lower risk than when you're not bleeding, but it is outside of the "lowest risk" timeframe. Unfortunately, I have no way of knowing how much of a risk there is in your specific case or if you are pregnant, as menstrual cycles and ejaculate vary greatly depending on the persons 😔 Know that while pregnancy is one reason someone might miss a period, there are also non-pregnancy related reasons that someone might miss a period. A change in exercise, a change in diet, weight-loss or weight-gain, or a particularly stressful life event can all make someone miss a period, for instance. I know that you said that you're a teen and have difficulty accessing a pregnancy test. I wonder if there is an adult you can trust, or even an older friend you could confide in and ask to purchase some tests for you? If you're at all concerned about pregnancy and can access tests, you can always take one pregnancy test ~2 weeks after the sexual act in question, and a second again ~4 weeks after to be certain! I understand how scary missing a period can feel, especially when you can't access a test easily. I had my own pregnancy scare as a teen. But please know that you are not alone in this experience, and that there are adults/older teens who will be compassionate and understanding towards you and this situation. I wish I could be more helpful! Wishing you the best 💛
Are you saying the first 3 days after you stop bleeding (from your menstrual cycle) is your green light with your fiancé? My partner said her cycle is usually 28-29-30-31 days and we had sex the last day she was bleeding and used pull out method with me pulling out roughly 30 seconds before I finished, the likelihood of her being pregnant is low right?
The first two days when I am bleeding is when we green light 😊 and in theory, if your partner’s cycle is regular, the chance should be lower-but there’s a lot of variables at play making each woman’s cycle very individual, which means I have no way of actually speculating on the risk of pregnancy in any specific cases 😔 wish I could be more helpful! Wishing you both health and safety during this uncertain time 💕
Hello! A woman can always get pregnant at any point she has sex during her cycle. There are simply higher- and lower-risk times throughout her cycle. While the safest days during a period are considered to be the 1st and 2nd day, the 3rd is still relatively low risk although no day is risk free. The only way to know for sure if you are pregnant is to wait about 2 weeks or so after the sexual act in question and take a test. Wishing you the best ❤️
I am not sure I fully understand your question, do you mean if you've had a period, can you be pregnant? Or do you mean if you have sex during your period, can you get pregnant?
Yes, you can get pregnant any time you have sex during your cycle -- there are simply times during your cycle where you are more and less likely to conceive! The first 2 days of your period are considered the "lowest risk" time to have unprotected sex, but that chance of pregnancy always remains.
Hi! Yes, you could get pregnant on Day 5 of your period pending when you ovulate - technically you could get pregnant at any time during your period if you ovulated very early for some reason or another. Knowing when you ovulate can be helpful, as sperm can live in the vagina for up to 5 days pending on the vaginal environment. The first 2 days of your period are by far the least risky, anytime during your period is less risky than right after/during ovulation, but the risk is always there. Wishing you only the best ❤️
So, there is always a risk of pregnancy any time you have unprotected sex during any time of your cycle -- some times are simply higher/lower risk than others. That being said, having unprotected sex during the first 2 days of your true period is statistically the lowest risk time for most people. Technically you can still get pregnant at any time during your period, and the first two days of your true period are the lowest risk! Day three should still be a lower risk day - it just depends on when you ovulate ❤️
Ma'am may i ask if you had sex on second day of period What is the percentage of getting pregnant..and do have any other solution to be sure the she won't get pregnant like...taking birth control pill
I do not know the percentage of getting pregnant having sex on the second day of a period, but I can share in my personal experience I have not gotten pregnant having unprotected sex on the second day of my period! Birth control is a great option for preventing pregnancy, as are condoms, and the pull-out method when done correctly -- this is a conversation to be had with a healthcare provider you know and trust, as I cannot give personalized, individual medical advice ❤ wishing you only the best!
So, I wanna know if my someone can be pregnant, on 2nd day of period, without penetration, but a little contact with pre-ejaculate? Also I'd be watching more of your videos to learn more about these things for my girlfriend. Thank you for your current and future content.
Great question! I would say the chances are incredibly low, and here is why: - the first 2 days of a woman’s period are the safest time during her cycle to have unprotected sex-while the change of pregnancy is always there, she’d have to have a very short period and ovulate very early to get pregnant. And this scenario is if a man ejaculates inside of her. - Pre-ejaculate is different pending on the man, but usually, if there is sperm in it, the sperm count is low! So, given the timing and the kind of ejaculate, I think the chances are very, very slim ❤️ Finally, thank you so much for the kind words about my videos! My husband and I are currently on our honeymoon, but when we return to the States I’ll be back to making content 💕
@@PelvicEmpowerment I've one more question, can stomach aches, leg aches and nausea occur due to stress or hormonal changes? And if these can also occur due to PMS? If yes, can PMS start 20 or more days earlier than the periods? I'm really sorry to bother you, but I'm still suffering from the fear.
No worries at all! All of the symptoms you’ve described can absolutely be related to stress and anxiety. PMS can cause a lot of different sensations, some women do report nausea and feeling achey, but typically PMS begins 1-2 weeks(ish) before a period or sooner 💕
Hello! I get this question in clinic a lot, "Can I get pregnant if I have unprotected sex on my period?" I want to answer this question fully, and I want you to understand why the answer is “yes, but if you’re confident in your timing it’s highly unlikely.”

And I forgot to say that I have casually brought it up with a GP but they didn’t have any concern about the consistent pause in bleeding!
If the GYN rules out the fibroid-involvement in the pain with bearing down in the bathroom, that pain could be related to your pelvic floor (in which case seeing a pelvic physical therapist could be helpful!)
Great video topic idea, I will add that to my request list!
If you're still concerned, you can always check back in with another test closer to the 4 week mark 😊
Wishing you safety and health during this uncertain time!
Thanks its so hlping

I do not want to be pregnant right now😭
Aww man, I hope you're able to take a pregnancy test soon and figure out if pregnancy is causing the hunger/fatigue!
Maam may i ask if i can get pregnant on 3rd day of my period?
That's a good question!
I cannot give individualized medical advice, but I can share my personal experience!
I have about a 4-5 day period, and only have unprotected sex within the first 2 days for the reasons I shared in this video. That being said, I do think the chances are still lower in the 3rd day of my period. If you are at all concerned, I recommend taking a pregnancy test!

While I cannot give individualized medical advice, I can share the following:
- it seems that Letrozole can be used, "off-label," to help facilitate the termination of a pregnancy ( www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4621653/ )
- looking at the potential side-effects from this medication ( www.drugs.com/cdi/letrozole.html ), I did find nothing abnormal vaginal bleeding and headaches (as headaches can be caused by increased blood pressure)
- given your symptoms, I think it would be very, very beneficial to follow-up with the physician who prescribed this, tell him/her your symptoms, and make sure that everything you're experiencing is normal/okay
Please do not hesitate to reach out with other questions, and I wish you nothing but the best ♥️
I think I got my ex-girl pregnant cause I thought she couldn't get pregnant on her period. Really don't know what to do now 😓
I'm sorry to hear that. Like I explained in this video, the chances are low if you time it correctly, but of course there are many variables at play that could still result in pregnancy. I hope that you and your ex-girl are able to move forward together and make decisions from a place of love and support. I wish you both only the best ❤
angelo brito is she preggo?
Shit your scaring me
my period is ranging more than seven days..like after 7days i still have a blood spot..then after that spots it stop..on my 6th day period i have a unprotected sex..can i get pregnant?

First of all, congratulations on trying to conceive! What an exciting time ❤️
As far as your question, if you’ve already gotten your period-a true period-you very very very likely aren’t pregnant.
Since you are trying, have you thought about tracking ovulation? You can try charting or even purchase strips that can test whether or not you’re ovulating, and try having sex around ovulation time 😊
So excited for you and yours 💕 wishing you all the best!

Hello! So I was curious… if I have sex and then get my periods after 2 days… what are the chances of me getting pregnant from this encounter
96%. Congratulations on becoming a mother!
With this in mind, per your questions:

Wishing you the best 💛
i had sex on the second and third day of my period. the first time he didn’t come, and the second he pulled out. i also didn’t ovulate until 10 days from the days i had sex, which is today. should i be worried?
Hi! While there is never a 100% guarantee of not being pregnant when having sex other than abstinence, it seems that the odds are very, very low because:
So! If you had unprotected sex at a low risk time during your cycle and your partner correctly performed the pull out method, I think the chances are very low ❤️
If you're at all worried, you can always take a pregnancy test around 2 weeks after the sexual encounter that worries you. Wishing you the best 💕
thank you! also can sperm live longer in my body due to the fact that i was on my period?
Nope! They live the longest in your body with the right cervical fluid, which is made abundantly around ovulation 💕
Did u get pregnant? Please tell please
My period end yesterday and I had unprotected sex right way does it means I can get pregnant?
Technically there is always a possibility of becoming pregnant when having unprotected sex pending on when you ovulate! How risky it is to have sex the day after your period depends on when you ovulate as well. If you usually ovulate a week or so after your period, you should be okay. But if you ovulate soon after your period, there is certainly a chance of pregnancy-it depends on the woman and her cycle. I wish I could give you a clearer answer and be more helpful!
Wishing you only the best ❤️
Pelvic Empowerment thank you dear!
Are you pregnant?!?
Casper yes I got pregnant right away and am 8weeks now thank you guys wish me luck
I had sex on the second day of my period and I was using a menstrual disk... does that reduce the possibility of a pregnancy?
The second day of your period is one of the safest days in your cycle to have unprotected sex ❤️
As far as the menstrual disk-I’ve not used one before.
Hello today is my last day of my period (day 5) and I had unprotected sex today. I ovulate in 5 days. Is there a chance I can get pregnant ?
Hello! So, there is always a risk of pregnancy any time you have unprotected sex during any time of your cycle -- some times are simply higher/lower risk than others.
That being said, having unprotected sex during the first 2 days of your true period is statistically the lowest risk time for most people.

What if my period is only 4 days???
I'm not sure I understand the question -- can you ask me a different way?
Pelvic Empowerment my period (blood) only last 4 day.. and we had sex yesterday on my period and he cam inside of me.. but yesterday was my last day so I’m worried I’ll be pregnant
Pelvic Empowerment sorry if I didn’t explain well
@@Neishianadiaaa Oh my gosh, don't apologize. No worries at all :)
That fear is totally valid, but I do think the odds are still in your favor.
Pelvic Empowerment thank you. But I wouldn’t take a plan B. Lol ❤️
Hiii, okay, plz answer, i have a implant, for birth control, i have had it for 18 days, and im on my period, he came out but is there a probability thats i might get pregnant ?
It sounds like you had unprotected sex during your period and your partner used the pull-out method! While there is never a 100% guarantee of not being pregnant (other than abstinence), I think the odds are very, very low because:
1. The first two days of your period are an incredibly “safe” time to have unprotected sex. Generally speaking, unprotected sex at anytime during you period is still relatively “low risk.”
2. When performed correctly, the pull out method is 96% effective at preventing pregnancy.
So! If you had unprotected sex at a low risk time during your cycle and your partner correctly performed the pull out method, I think the chances are very low ❤️
As for the implant, since it’s been more than a week since you had it inserted, it should be effective! So you have the implant’s protection on top of the other statistics which are all in your favor 😊
So I had sex with my bf on the 3rd day of my period and my period is usually last in 5days do you think I'll get pregnant? I'm scared
Hi! While the chance of becoming pregnant always exists when having unprotected sex, the first and second day of your period are considered the "lowest risk" days during your cycle! That being said, the third day is still a relatively "safe" day. If you're at all worried, you can always take a pregnancy test around the two week mark after you had sex just to be sure 💕

You got pregnant? Asking for a friend
Madam will a girl become pregnant if had sex during period without protection but sperm are released outside not inside vagina?
Since many years i have this question in my mind.
no
That’s a great question! If sperm is not released inside of the vagina, the only possibility of pregnancy would come from pre-ejaculate during unprotected sex. The likelihood of pregnancy in this scenario is incredibly low because:
1. The sperm count in pre-ejaculate is usually very, very low!
2. Your period is the safest time in your cycle to have unprotected sex, anyway 😊
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any other questions ❤️ wishing you the best!
I got a unprotected sex during my 5th days of my period i normally got 7 days period is there a chance that I got pregnant?
Hey I had unprotected period sex yesterday after one and a half days of having my period. He pulled out but my period has now stopped. Could I b pregnant?? Thank you
Hmm, did your period last its usual length?
It’s hard for me to say, but what I can share is:
That being said, the only way to know for sure would be to take a test ❤️
I wish I could be more helpful! Wishing you only the best 💕

Hi! The first two days of your period are by far the safest days to have unprotected sex during your cycle! While the possibility does exist, the likelihood is incredibly low. You’d have to have to ovulate very, very early.

Hi! Apologies for my late response, my husband and I are on our honeymoon ❤️
Hmm, coming off of the pill can be tricky.

Can i get pregnant if i had sex 2 days before my period ?(my cycle is for 30days or more )

Pelvic Empowerment but 2 days before period isn’t safe ? And i got my next period
If you got your true period you aren’t pregnant, and two days before your period you can still get pregnant-there are no 100% “safe” days to have unprotected sex, only days that are “lower risk” than others as I said ❤️

The first day of your period, statistically speaking, is the “safest” day to have unprotected sex-so long as you’re confident it’s truly your period! That being said, there is always a chance, although that chance is very, very small the first days of your period.

Can i get pregnent on my 4th day of period?
Yes, you can get pregnant when having unprotected sex at any point during your cycle, there are just times that are "more" and "less risky" than others. The 4th day of your period is not the lowest risk time to have unprotected sex, but it is lower risk than other days throughout your cycle. It is really a matter of how close to your period you ovulate!

However, I can share that pregnancy tests are most effective when taken ~2 weeks after the sexual act in question. To your question about ovulation -- it tends to begin in the "middle"-ish of your cycle. That being said, it can change based on external and internal life factors (stress, a change in diet or exercise, etc.)
The only way to know for sure when you are ovulating is to either:
1. track your fertility signs and chart to learn when you are ovulating
2. use ovulation test strips (you can buy them from pharmacies) to learn when you are ovulating

Today is also my heaviest flow even though it's my 3rd.is it possible i can get pregnant?
So, condoms are a very effective form of birth control, like in the high 90s I think! 97-98% effective! And, even though statistically the first two days of your true period are the lowest risk for pregnancy (those statistics are through the lens of UNprotected s*x, not protected!), the third day is still a relatively low risk day. I think that since you were using a condom AND you had protected s*x on a lower risk day, the chance of you becoming pregnant, while that chance always exists anytime anyone has s*x, is very, very low!

Unfortunately, I have no way of knowing how much of a risk there is in your specific case or if you are pregnant, as menstrual cycles and ejaculate vary greatly depending on the persons 😔
Know that while pregnancy is one reason someone might miss a period, there are also non-pregnancy related reasons that someone might miss a period.
Wishing you both health and safety during this uncertain time 💕
hi I have an irregular period.. is it possible that I get pregnant on my third day of period?
Very nasty situation
If I just got my period yesterday can I still get pregnant.but I also had some cramping Sunday and my period was Monday.
I am not sure I fully understand your question, do you mean if you've had a period, can you be pregnant? Or do you mean if you have sex during your period, can you get pregnant?
If you have sex while on the period. Can you get pregnant.
Yes, you can get pregnant any time you have sex during your cycle -- there are simply times during your cycle where you are more and less likely to conceive! The first 2 days of your period are considered the "lowest risk" time to have unprotected sex, but that chance of pregnancy always remains.
Can i get pregnant doc when i sex my partner of day 5 during my period
@@PelvicEmpowerment thanks doc, hopefully I'll get pregnant.......
George Narvas congratulations on trying! What an exciting time ❤️ I wish you success and a healthy, happy pregnancy 💕
Can I get pregnant during my 2nd day of period? after that on 3rd day my bleeding is stopped.
So, there is always a risk of pregnancy any time you have unprotected sex during any time of your cycle -- some times are simply higher/lower risk than others.
That being said, having unprotected sex during the first 2 days of your true period is statistically the lowest risk time for most people.
I wish I could be more helpful! Wishing you the best 💛
I last 4 days in my period and on the 3rd we have unprotected sex and he released his spem inside can i still get pregnant
Technically you can still get pregnant at any time during your period, and the first two days of your true period are the lowest risk! Day three should still be a lower risk day - it just depends on when you ovulate ❤️
Ma'am may i ask
if you had sex on second day of period
What is the percentage of getting pregnant..and do have any other solution to be sure the she won't get pregnant like...taking birth control pill
Reply asap huhuhu
Ma'am help me
I do not know the percentage of getting pregnant having sex on the second day of a period, but I can share in my personal experience I have not gotten pregnant having unprotected sex on the second day of my period!
I would say the chances are incredibly low, and here is why:
- the first 2 days of a woman’s period are the safest time during her cycle to have unprotected sex-while the change of pregnancy is always there, she’d have to have a very short period and ovulate very early to get pregnant. And this scenario is if a man ejaculates inside of her.
- Pre-ejaculate is different pending on the man, but usually, if there is sperm in it, the sperm count is low!
So, given the timing and the kind of ejaculate, I think the chances are very, very slim ❤️
Finally, thank you so much for the kind words about my videos! My husband and I are currently on our honeymoon, but when we return to the States I’ll be back to making content 💕
@@PelvicEmpowerment thank you so much for replying so quickly, the thoughts had been bothering me a bit too much lately. Now I feel relieved.
So glad you’re feeling better ❤️
