- The toughest pike fishing tournament in the world is officially back. 8 teams spread out across Europe will battle each other for three days in a test of skills, strategy and endurance as they try to outdo each other in the hunt for the win.

We will be there with our own stand, and in connection with the Sportfishing Fair, we will on Saturday March 16th arrange a final event at Krog & Co, where we, together with the participants, can see the incredibly exciting resolution of this years season.

To clarify, no team is cheating using active live target in fly vs jerk, all okay by the rules. The method is used to locate fish and serves as an edition to side imaging and other less live freqency options. This can’t be used for actively tracking fish behavior, meaning they can’t use to see if the fish followes or not. In other terms, it can’t be used to verify if a fish is raised.
Why?
The main reason is that the anglers in the show are very focused on catching fish. So focus that they may end up with their backs against the camera for three days straight. That’s makes for quite a boring show, that’s pretty clear.
In addition to this,
There is very little evidence that the method is actually plays a significant role in catching more fish and even less so in winning tournaments. The method brings a lot of confident to the anglers but also sometimes stops them for searching out more water.
Great anglers knows their water, they present their baits perfectly and wait for the dinner bell. It’s a hunt and it’s a waiting game.
Westin was earlier heavily criticized for using this method but in fact, even so there team being quite the experts on the method, it did not secure a win.
Our tournaments point system will make sure that no method is the only method. Everything comes in to play, time on the water, small fish, heavy fish, long fish. Sonar….not really.
The winning teams of fly vs jerk win due to proper preparation, extreme pre-fishing, local knowledge and balls of steal. This is not for the weak, not only do they want to provide a great show for you guys, they sometimes have this as their life line and main income. We have the deepest respect for that.
Your comments are counter productive, the hunt for Live sonar brings such a hype to the major brands selling you this equipment that they never have to really spend a cent on marketing it, since the comments makes it sound like that’s it’s so insanely effective that 140+ fish are to be found in every bay or Eddie.
We thank all industries in the trades working to make our fishing more entertaining and will moderate this segment of comments very strict as it’s clearly out of promotion. Hope this claryfies things for all of you who patiently follow the show and hope for the next exciting episode.

Oczywiście kibicuję Team Relax i mam wielką nadzieję że pokażą Polską szkołę łowienia szczupaków, szkoda tylko że nie da się tego zrobić na polskich wodach. Cóż może za kilka lub kilkanaście lat. Of course, I support Team Relax and I really hope that they will show the Polish school of pike fishing, but it's a pity that it can't be done in Polish waters. Well, maybe in a few or a dozen years.

If they caught the fish before the report, they should weigh and measure it. Even if the other teams were to wait for the result, there remains some uncertainty.

I enjoy watching the show, although I miss Leech and Vision. Still a fan of course. However, one question regarding the rules of the water type: Is this not lake day? I think the dutch teams are on the same waters as on river day. Do the three big lakes in the south count as both? How about the archipelago in Rügen?

Thank you! Let me explain how these specific waters are judged. The big waters in the south of the Netherlands can be regarded as either a lake or a river, by a team, but not both. So they still have to fish 2 different bodies of water on 2 days. The waters in Rügen are considered lakes that are connected to the sea, not as a real archipelago. Hope this helps!

Maybe team Relax should try to put their outboard motor into the water.
Unfortunately, there was 50-70 cm of water there, it was difficult to submerge the engine in such shallow water so as not to damage the screw.

Only one fly team and they have no idea what they are doing😂 Should be atleast two fly teams. And I am wondering is it really a good strategy to hunt for one big mama in this tournament? Especially when you are fishing in Netherlands where it is difficult to catch numbers or top5. Even thoug you catch that one monster, you are not gonna win the whole competition with that.
