I just want to slap that dancing guy with the visor! Dude's more interested in making sure his face is on TV than watching The Beach Boys perform one of the best live renditions of their classic #1 hit.
Carl Wilson - Guitar and high vocals Al Jardine - 2nd guitar and "I don't know where..." vocals Dennis Wilson - drums Brian Wilson - Keyboard (and LSD) Bruce Johnston - Piano (probably) Mike Love - Tambourine, low vocals and shitty personality Guy with white afro - bass
It's awesome how that is what the Beach Boys actually sounded like when they performed. I would listen to them on the radio and i would say to myself there is no way someone can actually sound like that. But that is how they actually sounded. Awesome!!!!
So Great to see these 3 wonderful brothers on stage together. My favourite is Carl, he looks so gentle. The complex harmonies in their songs, make The Beach Boys second to none.
Great American Band ~ Love the songs ~ " Good Vibrations " Its nice to see Brian, Dennis and Carl in this video ~ I just admire them : ) ~ RIP ~ Dennis and Carl ~ God bless!! xxx
Un - Believ-Able !! Mike Love learned how to move his body in rhythm with the music !! The Beach Boys, What great privilege I had to see and hear them live on stage, 1966 in Vienna , Austria, I can listen to their music and voices anytime , I never get tired of them, and what genius Brian is !!!!
Yes...he was the little chubby one when they were kids. I always thought Carl was the middle kid but he was the baby (Dennis was the middle kid). I love the Beach Boys.
@@wesgriffin6081yeah I was a huge fan all of these years, always thought Carl was the middle child and Dennis was youngest, all these years! Boy I was shocked when i found out. Haha
The Beach Boys had far and away the best voices of any rock group of their era. Their harmonies are also the best, but hard to recreate in live performances because of some of the studio 'magic' that Brian needed to get what he wanted
Because Brian was barely able to sit up at the keyboard In fact Brian was making very few concert appearances ... and likely the only reason he and Dennis are here is because Wolfman insisted ;)
I haven't seen this in almost 30 years! Great to see again! Is that Brian on e-piano and Carl playing gtr and singing lead? I know that's Mike Love with the hat singing the chorus. They all sound great here.
I always wondered why the hell they stopped releasing their yearly albums in the '80s. Maybe Dennis would have not died so early if he would have been busy...
It's a bit before my time, but it's realy good. And i love always good vibrations. ;-p The Beach Boys have very nice summer songs. Makes me think of sun--sea and a lot more. ;-) Maybe the beach?? (LOL)
i was there that my blonde head in the front row my friend annette took me I had Denise wilson drumstick and sweat towel he als feel into his drumseat when he stood up he was a bit wasted..rip denise
All the original band members are my favorite band members including David marks who used to be in the band and replaced by Al Jardine and came back after Carl Wilson passed away of lung cancer in 1998
@jmmyg54 hey yeh thanks ,just watched BB Tami concert ..that was cool ..Again Dennis on them drums Power ..Brian just great,I went to edinburgh here in scotland around 2 yrs ago ..Beach boys ..it was just Mike,Bruce and Mikes son and a few others ..they were still good ..Carl was my hero .but I loved them all ..thanks for that ,look after yourself my good friend .
@jmmyg54 well you were so lucky going to them beach boys concerts..I have always said Dennis was a great drummer .great to read your comment ..I would give my left arm to have been to them concerts ..
This was the Era of the completely dysfunctional BB. Notice how Mike and Al are very much separated from Carl and Brian. Mike and Dennis had restraining orders against each other. When the group took b the stage, Mike and Al entered from one side and the Wilsons entered from the other side.
Per your Beach boys 'Good Vibrations' comment, it's so refreshing to read someone who's a true music fan and knows what he's talking about. Do you play drums ?
Ah, that's Mike Love. We all hate him bit it's not the Beach Boys without him. That being said, he needs to retire , like right now. I can't take the fake groups and lawsuits. Hey, that rhymes, maybe a song, Mike? "Fake Groups and Lawsuits" Get with Van Dyke? "Fake Groups and Lawsuits Tour"???? right up there with "Orange Crate Art and Lawsuits"?, No?
Bald Mike looks kind of funny with the cowboy hat. Brian hasn't a clue to where he is and why he is there. Dennis has a bit of trouble keeping the beat. Good song though
Poor Brian, he was *almost* totally useless as a writer and performer at this time, though I'm sure that 90% of that was psychosomatic rather than drug-induced or whatever. That said "The Beach Boys Love You" has some good songs on it, even if they sound bizarrely naive and child-like.
Carl was so talented he seemed like such a good person
That's what The Beach Boys said in a video Carl was a good hearted man.

Carl Wilson - Guitar and high vocals
Al Jardine - 2nd guitar and "I don't know where..." vocals
Dennis Wilson - drums
Brian Wilson - Keyboard (and LSD)
Bruce Johnston - Piano (probably)
Mike Love - Tambourine, low vocals and shitty personality
Guy with white afro - bass
lol!
Ed Carter on bass - He was a longtime touring member.
This was before Bruce rejoined the group (he had left in 1971 after a dispute)
shitty personality ,,,YES
There is no better Rock 'n' Roll singer than Carl. Seriously, try to name one.
Brian. :)
Love those Wilson brothers - Brian, and RIP Carl and Dennis.
It's awesome how that is what the Beach Boys actually sounded like when they performed. I would listen to them on the radio and i would say to myself there is no way someone can actually sound like that. But that is how they actually sounded. Awesome!!!!

All the bros are there and Sweet Al! LUV IT!
There's plenty of talent like this still. It's probably just that it will take a few decades before most people will realize it ;)
the wilson men are renowned for their beard-growing ability
So cool to see all the original members on stage and sounding awesome.
Great American Band ~ Love the songs ~ " Good Vibrations " Its nice to see Brian, Dennis and Carl in this video ~ I just admire them : ) ~ RIP ~ Dennis and Carl ~ God bless!! xxx
one of the all time great bands, awesome sound, great track

Mike love always had to be the centre of attention
Because Brian was barely able to sit up at the keyboard

The Beach Boys have very nice summer songs.
Makes me think of sun--sea and a lot more. ;-)
Maybe the beach?? (LOL)
Yeah that's Brian.
Dennis is higher than a kite.
Frankie knucles
That he was in pain, and self medicating only makes me love him more.
The guy sitting down playing keys with the help me rhonda on his red & white shirt.
i was there that my blonde head in the front row my friend annette took me I had Denise wilson drumstick and sweat towel he als feel into his drumseat when he stood up he was a bit wasted..rip denise
TheAuntieDD who the fuck is Denise ? His name is Dennis !
Bass is Ed Carter
Mike is the one who is playing the tambourine and singing the low part.
Their bearded years. 🙂
awesome!
Totally Brian and CARL's SONG -- why is M. L. taking center stage?????
All the original band members are my favorite band members including David marks who used to be in the band and replaced by Al Jardine and came back after Carl Wilson passed away of lung cancer in 1998

Thanx Man
dont see talent like this anymore.

Yes

Brent Peterson : 'Thing the great Ed "Cookie" Carter! I have a couple of his guitar picks
nice to see Brian with the Boys....
Boys were such a fixture in pop music...
all song long ago now...
The dude in the Adidas shirt towards the right side of the stage.
Brian doesn't look so bad here!
Give Mike Love a break. The man has kept them on the road for almost 50yrs.
MusicMatty67 on UA-cam
LOL at the dancers @ 1:00

Oh that Mike prat
Would somebody move John McEnroe out of the shot?
Yo, which one's Mike Love???..........
the bald one who likes trump
lol.... did anyone ever tell you that when you clap, you flap your arms like two guys in a flamingo fight?
Bald Mike Love wearing a stupid cowboy hat. What a goof Bald Mike Love is. Carl sounds great
I think you mean Brian
Bald Mike looks kind of funny with the cowboy hat. Brian hasn't a clue to where he is and why he is there. Dennis has a bit of trouble keeping the beat. Good song though
Instead of that lame audience singalong part they should've really sang the "hum-be-dum, hum-be-dum oh-oh" part.
the one who is looking anoyed at Bully Love on the piano
Pre-recorded track. You can here the tape skip at 1:03.
One thing is to be negative. Another is to be completely wrong. This video skips. Others don't. This is as live as it gets!
Edward Milko I know that now.... That wasn’t the case back in 2009!
it is a tape they are playing along with.. so no one is even faking it,,
or "no hair and hat" would have sufficed
Poor Brian, he was *almost* totally useless as a writer and performer at this time, though I'm sure that 90% of that was psychosomatic rather than drug-induced or whatever. That said "The Beach Boys Love You" has some good songs on it, even if they sound bizarrely naive and child-like.
which one is Brian?
@mothafuckajones666 They hauled him out and propped him up for show. I hate how they exploited him.
@cwphunky68 I was going to say the same thing, he warped into manson...Icky
@t0mme1981 hey i am waering those pants right now, kiddin
Brian looked incredibly uninterested and at times inert. Damn shame.
Dennis = Jesus
i dont think so.
todays musicians are 99% crap imo.
and true talent usually isnt very subtle. it becomes apparent very quickly in the music industry.
