It is now Feb 16 , 2024 and in todays news was a release from the Wilson Family that Brian Wilson has dementia . Sad news . I have been listening to his music for 60 years now . His wife Melinda died last month . He lost his soul mate . Bless you Brian . Thank you for al, the music . I have seen many ,many of your concerts with your Brian Wilson Band as well as the BEACH BOYS . Wonderful times .
Thanks for letting us know….remember 1963 driving down the road with Beach Boy music blaring while I was kissing my then guy! Innocent times kids today will never experience! Brian is such a talented guy….we will lose a great one! ❤
I always like to see Brian having a good time. This man suffered so many levels of hell and demons (the drugs, his father, psychotherapy….I mean, damn, can you imagine having the Beatles and Stones as your rivals. Rock on Brian, more people love you than you can possibly know.
He really was America's answer to the plethora of great music coming out of England. It was like an arms race of amazing music and Brian Wilson kept American music strong. Granted, Motown would have had to have been a third major power of course, but dang, such great music.
To say he's a genius is quite an understatement. I, as a guy in the mid-'60's, came as close to worshipping another musician as a guy can get. I think I've bought just about every piece of music he's ever written/recorded there is! Remember his solo CD from about 20 years ago called "Imagination?" Some fine work there, as solo musician.
I continue to pray and send Love and Mercy to Brian. I can’t imagine how hard it has been for him to lose his spouse. One day at a time….Thank you for the music!
Love it! Thanks for the beautiful music Brian!!! They'll never be another Brian Wilson!! Love you Brian!! I know he'll never read this but maybe the positive and Good Vibrations from our posts will be felt by him. ❤❤❤❤
What a beautiful memory for Brian Wilson. Singing with his daughters and others. He is not only a great musician but fostered 2 other greatly talented and very attractive children. Really great to see.
I absolutely love this reworking of my fav all time Beach Boy's song. There's so much good stuff here. It always reminds me of when, many years ago, one of my music teachers said that some of the most memorable pieces of music were based around a few notes!
First time I've ever seen this. 1987? Brian is a painfully handsome and proud dad here. Great rendition of one of the greatest BB songs. And no Mike Love to bring it down.
I have always loved & appreciated the masterful skills this man has. He truly is a gifted composer, writer & performer. Great to see Brian Wilson with his daughters singing Do It again. Brian Wilson has endured great personal hardship & came out better than ever. He deserves all the accolades he has received. Big love to Brian Wilson for all he has given us.
First time seeing this, and I am sure there has been lots of family sing longs, but it's really beautiful his oldest girls have this to keep for posterity. It's Brian's legacy, and a wonderful gift to his kids, grandkids and great grandkids to come.
Ditto that...beautiful family singing together the best songs ever written! Great to see Brian so happy, and Carnie's and Wendy's joy and pride when they look at their dad. Can't wait to you see you in Wildwood, NJ 2022, in two weeks!!!
Saw him, (with Chicago) last June 7th 2022. TWO bucket list concerts in a single day! Chicago, as always, amazing. The whole Brass section was KILLER! They even played back up Brass, for The Brian Wilson Band. Yes, both bands played Wishing You Were Here. No Dennis, no Carl, no Terry. But still, GREAT concerts! steve
I can't really add anything to what people have said here, except, a few years ago, on one of the Beach Boy's UA-cam pages, I made a comment about how Brian Wilson had suffered so long, and that I hoped he had been able to come to some happiness. A guy answered and said that he had been in a restaurant a few weeks before, and that Brian and his new family had been there. He said they were talking, joking and laughing, and that he seemed to be enjoying his meal and was happy. He said the mood was light and family. I was glad to read that. He deserves it. This is a great video with his daughters and the crew. Makes me happy to see his pride and love in his daughters and their's in him.
Brian has been writing amazing music, since I was about 5 or so. Yet, his two biggest "hits" are singing right along with Dad! THAT has to mean a lot to Brian! The Brian Wilson Band was here, last year. I am SO glad we went. There was some "midwest band" that was there, too. Kind of BeachAgo, but no "beach boys" were there. Just Brian, Alan and Matt Jardine. The "Ago" half, Chicago! Talk about a KILLER concert, this wasn't! Was TWO amazing concerts. Yes, Matt and Al showed up for "Wishing you were Here!" Wish Dennis Carl, and Carl Dean did. Also, no Terry Kath, either. All 3 were missed. steve
LOVE Brian for doing this song with his daughters and their backup is perfect, they sound GREAT together. Brian Wilson was an absolute genius. I fell in love with early Beach Boys music about 50 years too late (all of it is older than I am) but better late than never right? My dad (RIP) had a lot of their music on vinyl (along with a ton of other great old music), bless his sweet soul.
Brilliant song. One of my Top 3 favourites. The Beach Boys original maybe just edges this one for greatness. Regardless, how can anyone not like it? It is just so unnervingly catchy. Cheers, Brian!
The Beach Boys, Brian Wilson in particular, are the only group that intimidated the Beatles because Paul McCartney knew what a genius Brian Wilson was, Beatles put out Rubber Soul, Brian Wilson responds with Pet Sounds which directly led to Sgt. Peppers, if Smile had been finished you can bet the entire landscape of whatever the Beatles were doing would have changed, Paul McCartney genuinely admires and respects Brian Wilson and from what I've seen is still humbled by his presence.
Gosh, I may never have heard this one before, but it it the coolest, and SOOO fun!!! Classic rock n roll, doo-wop, with some soulful elements in there. Love the diversity of the musicians he has in there too. Just beautiful! Thank you, Brian, love ya!!!
I lived it, more or less...the beach cities were populated but the downtown streets had the charm of living near the ocean. It was really different in the 60s. As the song goes, they paved paradise to put up a parking lot. Tiny surf shop names have become clothing conglomerates and plaques commemorate old cool buildings that *used to* be there. It will never return.
I was there. Spent many hours in Huntinton Beach ( Surf City )and Newport Beach in the sixties and seventies. Balboa Island and the Newpot peninsula at the Fun Zone was definately the place to be!
Our musical angel rings forever in our hearts and our and souls Brian is a magnificent miracle let’s all appreciate and love him while he is in this world Thank you Brian forever
Yup!! I'm the biggest beach boys fan, and their individual stuff- like Dennis' stuff and Brian's stuff the most, but I always thought wilson Phillips was badass too...
Lifetime Beach Boys fan. I bodysurf still at age 66 with Churchill surf fins, and have been using a pair since July 1977! The Jersey shore scene was like California's ... Warm summer days and Hot summer nights!
Here is The Force Brian Wilson rocking with his kids and Talented Musicians having a ball. One Heck of a Fun Jam....would of Loved to be in attendance Truly Memorable. Thank you. I Loved The Beach Boys In The 60's......many, many fun tunes.
Wow! Awesome! Brian is just so enthusiastic with his daughters singing next to him! Absolutely love this performance! Wish Wendy and Carnie would pick up and continue! ❤

@@lar7905 💜Yes! 🤗
for the love of... the guy just can't get a damn break
Well, this definitely stings. My grams turned 79 when this detail came out
The smile Brian gets when his girls start singing is priceless!
❤❤❤
Masterpiece ❤❤❤
You can see how much it means to Carnie and Wendy to be singing with their dad, it is priceless. 🖤🧡🖤🧡🖤
How cool it is to hear dad, and daughters singing together! The talent is strong in the Wilson family! 😊
Ive been in love with Wendy forever-so pretty
May you find peace Brian. Your contributions are endless and timeless.
I always like to see Brian having a good time. This man suffered so many levels of hell and demons (the drugs, his father, psychotherapy….I mean, damn, can you imagine having the Beatles and Stones as your rivals. Rock on Brian, more people love you than you can possibly know.
And, despite those facts, the guy was really lucky to have succeeded and get a mean place in the music History. So many others failed on the road.
The Beatles were fans of The Beach Boys
Pet Sounds and Sgt. Peppers are the top albums of all time an both bands were inspired by each other.
Dude don't forget and the lost of his brother there in the early 80s when his bro commited suicide to

Not much compares to a Brian Wilson smile. Every version of this song, is wonderful.
It brought tears to my eyes to see Brian Wilson so obviously excited and happy with his daughters.
Six dozenth like!
Brian, (Brain) is awesome!

beach boys
This was simply awesome 😁👏👏👏😁❤️❤️❤️😁👏👏😁
Hard to beat with Brian Wilson on lead vocals & piano, Waddy Watchell on guitar, Russ Kunkel on drums, and the Wilson Sisters on baground vocals!!!!
Love Mr. Kunkel, but that's Jim Keltner on drums. 😊
My favorite Beach Boy song with the accompaniment of his two daughtersl PRICELESS
Brian Wilson is a modern day Bach, Beethoven, or Mozart. He’s a musical genius!
For sure
Can't argue with that, a true musical unicorn.
Sir Paul McCartney thought God Only Knows
was the best song ever made. I agree!
(Who am I to argue with Paul?)
steve
No less than Leonord Bernstein compared Brian Wilson to Mozart!! Does anything else need to be said?
It is priceless to see the smiles from the daughters to their father. I like this version with Brian singing better.
I love this version of this song. It’s so cool that his daughters are singing with him!
Brians smile! Its so awesome to see
Thanks Brian, I’m 65 and thanks for a life time of great music. You made this time on earth a very pleasant one!!!
Brian Wilson. True Beach Boy. His daughters are his pride and joy.His smile lights up with love when singing with Carnie and Wendy.
Brian's music still sounds so fresh.Genius.
Brian Wilson is a genius and has overcome so much. So great to see him and his daughters having fun together. Thanks Brian
The first 🎶 music that I listened to. I used to Nick my sister's Beach Boys LP's when she was out.
Isn't music so much a huge part in our lives?
I continue to pray and send Love and Mercy to Brian. I can’t imagine how hard it has been for him to lose his spouse. One day at a time….Thank you for the music!
Waddy Wachtel steps in and delivers and absolutely wicked lead.
If Brian Wilson was my Father..I would sing with him..Every Day!
Same!
Seeing Brian Wilson SO exited about doing a song is absolutely priceless.
It's beautiful to see the love Brian has for his two daughters. His eye tell it all when he looks at them both.
Excellent version of this song, Brian looking & sounding great.
My thoughts exactly this is a rocking version of the song. It compares favorably with the one done on the Ed Sullivan show live in 1968.
Totally agree this is Brilliant
I love this! I don't think I've ever seen Brian so animated.
Love it!
Thanks for the beautiful music Brian!!!
They'll never be another Brian Wilson!!
Love you Brian!!
I know he'll never read this but maybe the positive and Good Vibrations from our posts will be felt by him.

Mike wrote the lyrics 😅
What a treat is must have been for Brian to sing with his girls- the little glances and smiles tell an entire novel full of feelings, silently.
Two Beautiful Girls Who Have God Given Talent !!!

Dad, and two daughters, equals brilliant!
You gotta love Brian Wilson, he’s the man.
I was reading Brian's autobiography, and he mentioned this song with Wendy and Carnie, so I had to check it out. Very glad I did! Love Brian Wilson.

The rolling groove in the beginning is amazing. Home movies of the girls and Brian a nice touch.
Family singing together is sweet ... beautiful ❤️
Priceless!!!! Precious!!!! Talented Dad with his talented baby girls!! It doesn't get any better than that!!! ♥♥♥
My favorite Beach Boys song! What a gem, it encapsulates that era for me perfectly!
No one's talking about the brothers clapping their hands singing In harmony,
They’re definitely daddy’s girls! I love his voice so unique

Brian is Americana perfection.
Absolutely Brilliant. A musical genius at work, showing love and affection.
Brian showing quite a bit of confidence and determination in this. Good to hear.
How could you not smile to yourself when this song is playing, one of the best in the Beach Boys catalog....
Only came to appreciate the Beach Boys later in life. Wilson was a genius.

That would be 50years ago now :)

Great version of a terrific song. Nice drumming by Mr. Buster Sidebury.
I KNEW it must be him…thx for that🥁
The great Jim Keltner..
Other than the original, this has to be one of the best rendition I have heard. Thanks for putting it out there.
Have seen The Beach Boys twice. Great in concert. Nothing like the 60’s music. 🤩
