6:58 I love my V3X 29. In granite wt gas strings in flo orange wt gun metal servings and a hamskea epsilon rest made for mathews. Spot Hogg fast Eddie xl wt a shrewd optum 35mm scope and a shrewd rod for adjustments and a shrewd 4 power lens. Total peep tech grip for mathews the new mathews low pro 1pc 5 arrow quiver. Conquest control freak pro stabilizers wt a 12 inch up front wt a qd and a 10 in the back wt a qd. And the engage limb legs. Shooting Easton axis 5mm arrows and a stan shootoff TL thumb button great set up. I bring my zebra strings wt me too. I have the sas system on my bow I can press it in the field
Yeah, thanks, I messaged you before when I was looking at bows this is my first quality bow, I had a bear before. But you made me feel like u got a great set up as it's almost identical to yours. Same rest, same quiver, have a black and gold 3 pin slider, no dove tail. So I feel like the shop gave me a solid set up as they told me what was best and in my budget.
Sharp looking bow. I’m thinking about getting the 27. I have a 27” dL
The Mathews V3 31 is a terrific bow. I took my son, a friend of mine and his two sons to our local pro shop for new bows. And they all came out with new Mathews V3 31 bows. The pro shop did the initial set up and I did the final tuning for them. And guess what, I now have one on order. I have always shot Hoyt bows also.
You must be loaded
We love to see another NC rep. I’m getting a new bow for Christmas and I think I’m gonna go with a Matthews bow. Thanks for the info
Thats awesome, thank you for watching.
Just a heads up Devin hall from Hamskea recommended not running your cable that far back on the limb, this is due to how the limbs are designed. He recommends you go roughly 2” towards riser, just about where the limb starts to straighten out. Per Hamskea they said that this is the best area for rest timing. I had mine under the backer on the 27, ran into some timing issues, slid it forward and it is now perfect. 👍🏼
@@BuffaloCreekOutdoorsOfficial they are made for the other bows with the engage grip. It’s only specific to the v3 27-31
I believe triax and newer, it work with the vxr no problem as well but because of the way they designed the v3 he says the Hamskea bracket would have issues. You may be ok you may have a pepper tuning issue from rest timing. I guess each setup is different. Walk back tune it and see what happens 20-60 same pin. Won’t notice it at closer distances
@@BuffaloCreekOutdoorsOfficial yeah no worries man. Glad I could help. I am very particular on how my stuff is tuned. Extremely ocd haha. I don’t stove mg launched down either, it’s off the shelf just a hair. Bare shaft and fletched are together at 25 yards. Good luck! 🍀
The best place to tie your hamskea epsilon rest on a Mathews is to the yoke. I have talked to Mathews and they said that is a great place for it.
Everybody is different, but I'm really surprised you picked the Mathews over the Hoyt Ventum. The Hoyt's draw cycle is so much nicer than the Mathews V3 31 to me. And my Ventum 33 at 28.5" is faster. Irregardless I hope you have a great season!
Nope not just for you. It is a much better draw on the Hoyt. I love my ventum33 . And my solution. Hands down the best 2bows of 2021. And I have a brand new V3 31. Just being honest
Can't imagine anyone switching from Hoyt to Mathews......hahaha!!
@@PAKraig That was a year before I got the RX-7 that needed a cockeyed Chinese centershot setting in order to tune!! Mathews tunes right down the middle with every arrow I've shot! Makes my OCD very happy!! The Ventum33 was a good bow! Tuned perfectly with a 3/4" CS. 😉
Mathews is a way better bow. Then a hoyt. Every hoyt I have worked on has come in wt crazy cam lean. And my V3X 29 .at 28.5 draw is faster then your hoyt
Can you clarify which collar you're using? You said outsert, but I think you meant collar
I recently just went from Matthews to a Hoyt, I had a vxr that I loved but i shot the RX5 and fell in love!
I love how you put those little touches on your bow to honor your grandmother! That’s awesome!
I have the v3 27 and I love it! Super smooth bows!
