Intro Song: "Issa Trap" by Mikey Geiger - Розваги
My credit score started to quiver as soon as I saw the thumbnail
I have purchased most of the gear highlighted here. It was definitely a buy once/cry once situation. Save up your pennies, do your research, and get the gear that best accommodates your individual situation. As stated elsewhere, training is much more important than gear.
You only need good enough credit once.
I’m not financially ready for this video 😅
I typically use muzzle flash as my might vision.
Lol 😆 🤣
Does it look like a strobe?
You should do a night vision giveaway full set up with ballistic helmet. Could even pair it with a lower priced rifle to offset the cost and give you the full set up. That would be sick.
Call it the "Own the Night" giveaway.
@@gun_hound killer idea man!
Great name for a great idea haha
I agree
7:15 Single tube has one huge often overlooked advantage. You can immediately identify an accidental discharge of a visible spectrum light or laser.
Also you can use your optic with Our right eye and could use an IR laser with your left eye with night vision
Being able to see when no one else can is an invaluable asset in combat. Your white light gives away your position and tells the enemy where to shoot, with night vision and an overcast dark night you’re essentially invisible until you’re right on top of someone
flash hider and a can... oh man! ooga booga.
okay, mr call of duty expert
Only if it's modern if ur NV is using ir you'll be a Giant light for newer nv
Dont get too cocky, nvg are good for bandits and street thugs, but if you find yourself facing pro's, they more than likely will have IR. But for neighborhood watch, you will be a stud.
@@user-yq3yx3cw3p if they have ir then I can DEFINITELY see them xD dafuq you talking about ? Lmao
Good Job! I started with a Team Wendy helmet, added Peltors Comtacs, added a gen 3 tube finally a bridge and a Flir breech. It takes time to build one out. Years in my case. Garand Thumb has cost me much.
Do you need to mount it to a helmet. Is it possible to simply tie it to a lanyard and hang it from your neck to use as a NOD?
It should be the last part of your kit and done exactly as you did
I bought everything on black Friday with 6 months interest free financing. Almost paid off now, and no buyers remorse, which is surprising. I have a team Wendy bump, Wilcox j arm, the breakaway mount, and a elbit Gen 3 white phosphorus pvs14. Have been coyote hunting a few times.
For all those questioning why anyone would want this, I offer my stance. I use mine hunting. I can get to my deer stand or turkey blind without spooking anything with a light. I can also set out duck or goose decoys in the dark. Also, they’re very useful for hogs or coyotes at night. Is it absolutely necessary? Absolutely not. Does it make things easier? Yup! As a bonus, if things go bump in the night I’m good to go.
Yes, A Night Vision give-a-way would be great.
Are they legally allowed to do that?
@@bigredwolf6 yes, NVGS are not regulated
@@bigredwolf6 the owner might be mad though
Doing a video on shooting with night vision would be awesome. You should also do a video on communication.
Wow, Clint has hair!!! Hey Clint, thanks for doing this video. Helmet and NVG build-out is something I have been contemplating for about a year now but have only had the chance to briefly hold one complete set-up. This was helpful and gave me a good place to start!
OUTSTANDING video! To do this on the cheap, (except for the night vision sight) was just the best. Very through and detailed, you deserve 5 stars. When I get enough money, I will set my headgear up the same way. GOOD JOB!!!!.
Nice, I need to learn more about NV before I spend the $. Thanks again Clint and team. I hope this is the start of a NV series
hoplopfheil has a great video on tube specs
Yes to the night vision give away. And a definitely yes to the video comparing passive veris active night vision aiming with devices.
Very informative!! Thanks Clint.. Great video.
cool video Clint. love gear videos
Well there is this thing called money... and I don't have enough ha! But someday this will come in handy, however I find it interesting as I can use some of this info for my writing, so thank you!
Big props for rocking that agm gen2,now thats REAL budget nv!!!
the night vision i got was a nvg7 from ATN thats a gen 2+ white phosphor its a cyclops setup so u see with both eyes but with only one tube i got a team wendy bump helmet and i also have those same hearing setup as u
Man Clint u must been reading my mind I was just think of how to set one up thanks brother
That little split on the peltor adapter arm is supposed to be there. That’s where your boom mic would attach.
I would prefer passive myself. Keep it coming as this is interesting series. Night vision mission...YES! Night vision giveaway...YES!!!!!
Lol, giveaway is the only way I could own any of this…. I must say I loved that you said budget as the MK18 was laying on the table. I knew immediately this was all going to be above my night vision budget. Lol, I will definitely have to start my build with the Streamlight Sidewinder.
I spent almost 2 years researching NV before I pulled the trigger.. Went with PVS31'S and Photonis 4G onyx 2300 fom tubes... Buy once cry once...
A night vision giveaway would be awesome.
Clint, you forgot to mention that the Streamlight sidewinder also has an IFF switch.
Honestly the fact that he even made this vid is nice to me. Everyone makes gun vids but entry nvg vids are harder to find
that split isnt a defect, the arc rail adapters are designed to work with the comtac's the split is wear you attach theboom Mic, its split so it gives a bit more tension to keep the mic from falling off.
Single tube is better than nothing. At least you can see in the darkest nights even if you need to run your IR light with it you can still see the IR laser
The act fire ear pro r dope they’re a cheap Walker basically simple and great design very comfortable that’s wat I use on my helmet
I LOVED training mout with nods to joes. Shits sooooooo funny
Clint I notice your 3M mounts are slid back some on the ARC rail. Is that just a comfort adjustment? I have unity tactical mounts but have them in the middle of the ARC rails. Also I use a unity spark IR light, which is much more budget friendly than the hellstar.
I just took Jamie Caldwel's 2-day (night?) Night Vision Operator course. 4 civilians and 10 high end LEOs. Two best shots in weapons quals were running single tube PVS14, and so was I. Everything I thought I was going to find wrong with my setup, I didn't. Ranger band a USGI bayonet j-arm and it doesn't wobble.
The real issue I had was switching between IR and white light on my vampire head. I need a LAM with a dedicated IR flood.
And wow thats time you will never get back!!!! You will never need night vision in life
@@macisalyer4037 Sweetie, How will you ever sleep without judging how other people spend their money..

HA! Bold of him to assume my bank account is high enough to afford NV.
I have been running nvg every night for a minimum 1hr, and I have sprinted and jumped and gone to ground plenty. With a good fit, I have never needed a counter weight for my pvs14. Just set your helmet right, guys. Add what you want, but get a good helmet.
Congratulations on your Gundie !!!
I would love some NVG!!! Living in TN, we have lots of wildlife!!!😮❤
Full NVG set up giveaway would be awesome. BNVD, RPNVG OR PVS 31 L3 WP gen 3 2300+ FOM with a decent helmet, Willcox g34 mount, with ear pro external battery back, and a decent LAM. NGAL, MAWL, PEQ 15, DBAL A3s. Who wouldn't be stoked to have an awesome set up like that.
Can you build a DIY PVS 69 NVG and compare it to PVS14 and commercially available NVGs?
Is it possible to use a battery pack as a counterweight? Or would that not be heavy enough?
I've been slowly saving for nightvision and I think I should have enough for a pvs14 by this summer. But then I saw the prices of the Wilcox mount and arm and now I think I need to save more. It's like another grand for a super basic bump helmet set up.
I recommend the ax14 j arm if you don’t want to spend the price for Wilcox j arm the ax14 also articulates and I love mine but the g24 is definitely worth the extra coin
@@TacoTory556the noisefighters won't fit a rhino mount correct? They all say dovetail
@@MrCashewkitty Yeah I believe it wont work with a rhino mount
Just getting into NV, really debating removing my ear pro to make passive shooting easier. Unfortunately it does sacrifice some of the stability of the system overall. Ear pro hitting the stock is much more annoying than lining up the tubes in my humble opinion. If anyone has a solution, feel free to let me know. Running the Howards, I like them over the cheap Peltors. NV, changes everything though.
Do a how to build nvgs with all of the builder kits out there
Clint you called the light a sure fire atleast ypu got it right the second time 😂😂 jk buddy I always mix the two up too
Night vision giveaway sounds great
Definitely do a night vision giveaway
Although I like John Lovells reason for single tube benefits. Mostly being able to read photopic lighting with your unboosted eye. That way you don't get false impressions of how dark your environment is
Congratulations on the Gundies 👍👍
Thank you!
Good video, brother
In which eye it is advisable to put the monocular. in the skilled or the unskilled?
So u have a gurmard dog Helment with team Wendy adjustment hardware and then arc rails ?
So I know nothing about night vision. Instead of a counterweight, is there external battery packs you could run to extend the time on your night vision batteries?
Great, a lot that I didn’t know.
Because I can, that’s why!
Yes, nigh vision giveaway. AND, demo the setup with your rifle. Stance, draw to eye, sweep, etc etc
Sounds like a good time to me!
Let’s see a comparison of the military surplus helmets made of kevlar and such, those are the ones in my price range
So throw a number at it Clint. What would it cost to replicate your setup from scratch? By the way it was a great video and thorough explanation. I knew almost nothing about NV before watching this. At least I could have a conversation about it now
It's hard enough to have a single type dual tube would be nice tho
Good video, very nice hair.....Semper Fi
Did you get your money from the camp lejeune settlement?? 🥴
Bruh 😂 this got me rolling
Night vision videos yes
Has anyone seen/heard of a helmet or head mount that has a pic rail to attach the nv device to? So you can use a weapon mount thermal hands & weapon free?
Night op for shure
I would love to have some but the cost is to prohibitive.
All of the Fudds complaining about how civilians don’t need nvgs lmao
The poors are like crabs in a bucket.
@@ghost0441 😂
I have level 4 ceramic plates and they are heavy wearing them for an hour you know it
How about a parts breakdown so we know where to find all the gear.
Hello. You have a very good collection guns.!!!
Yes do a night vision give away!
Nightvision giveaway!!! Been trying to snag some dual tubes but that 10k is hard to save up for to get the setup.
what about the octo vision
Im glad you brought up not being bald. I just think you look better with the hat off. Other than that great video man😎
You need to 3d print some arc rail lamb chops.
Why do I want Night Vision? In my Nacho Libre voice..."I hwanna hwiiin!"
I have no idea why im watching this...im still a bit away from getting NV 🤣
Somebody needs to make a business where they are like a "tactical tailor" and people can fly in to them to get a one stop shop to consult on their individual needs and get the best fitting gear for them. The cost of the gear isn't my issue, it's the time it takes to drudge through all of the info trying to figure out what you need and whats not going to work for you. The time saved would be well worth the expense paid for the consult.
Bulldog vs HardHeadVet?
Yes a give away
With ballistic helmets they might stop the round but wouldn't your brain be so jellied by the energy transfer that it wouldn't do much good anyway???
I would if I could afford them but I'd also probably rather just buy a new truck instead
So you can take it to sportsball night, right.
30 rds of 5.56 weighs about a lb.
Better counterweight?
20rds box + tape is a great counterweight for a PVS-14
Yes, night vision give away...
I don't have any night vision equipment. I'd like to, but the cost is holding me back.
I using night vision on video game.
Hey can you guys raffle off SOME NVG's with the next giveaway?
Bilistic helmet set up with Night vision giveaway
Man that's a great video thank you very much I learned a lot you guys are great but, Background music sucks hahahaha.
Hahahaha! It's never going away!
One thing I've learned across the web, if you want to survive, you better have a vault of cash handy.
I dont have the money to buy a bunch of kit otherwise I'd already own nvgs and everything else
Many people have been calling these Chinese made......how do yall feel?
If I can't see it, I can't shoot it...
Those rubber eyepieces really don't work well when you have to use it with glasses
Nevermind what he’s talking about. I just can’t believe he’s not wearing his hat 😮
Do i use night vision? No, i don't live in a fantasy world.
Is it good to keep NVG in a faraday cage?
I keep mine in a faraday bag and have no issues with it.
PVS-14 NVGs are analog. It won't make a difference.

good luck walking around
and bro fr you can only see 75 yards
I have the same setup, absolutely dog water compared to analog.

@@magdump_morgan Dumb question. Do you have to have a helmet? Is it possible to just hang one of these monoculars around your neck with a lanyard and use it as an observation device to see and avoid trouble?
