A YOUNG woman with a skin condition so painful it’s been likened to third degree burns is showing the world she is just like everyone else - despite cruel comments from strangers. Ariana, 20, from Los Angeles, was born with Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa, commonly known as EB.

It makes me so sick to my stomach thinking about how painful this must be. I wish I could just take this pain away from her. She is beautiful and more strong than 90% of us. I think if any of us suddenly found out we had this, we would just go into a depression deep enough to not want to live anymore because we would not have the pain tolerance built up to withstand dealing with this. However she has dealt with this her whole life so she has a massive pain tolerance. Let's pray for a cure or miracle-like treatment for this disease.

I wish they could find a cure for this. That poor girl, I can't imagine how agonising this must be, and I complained about my eczema...
Try Aleppo olive oil soap with bay/laurel. You can use it as shampoo too. Ugly brown soap that turns olive color with use. Smells faintly like olive oil. A bar lasts me 4 months. I use it all over my body. It keeps my dry skin moisturized too. My rosacea and eczema are gone as long as I use this soap. I do not use cosmetics, creams, hair conditioners, hair spray or other things on my body-- just this soap. I also use hypoallergenic laundry detergent and double rinse all clothes. I found out about the soap when I worked in Iraq. A local co-worker told me about the soap. You can buy it in any middle eastern market. Look it up on Amazon to see what it looks like but don't buy it there unless your only option because expensive on Amazon. Maybe it will work for you?

To all the people that stare: I get it. You stare because you see something weird or unnatural that you've never seen before. But here's where you can get mixed up. Some people stare, and then smirk and laugh. Others, come up and ask about whatever it is that they're staring at. But now some, and by some I mean very few people, have the nerve to go up and be a friend and be kind to the person who is struggling. Be one of those people who reaches out and is kind. The world needs more people like that.

I think this girl is a true inspiration she doesn’t give a care in the world what people think of her skin. People need to learn that things happen and all people need to be treated the same no matter what happend to you, what you like to do, etc. I love this girl!!!!!

How I feel with my health conditions. I'm always sore or unable to keep down food or liquids and at times I'm laying over the toilet wondering when it'll just end. Or I'm cooking and I have to lay down or sit in a chair because I pass out. Sometimes in some cases(since not all conditions effect you at the same age) you really take for granted your health until its not what it used to be. Looking in the mirror and seeing I don't have control of who I am anymore is scary. But you learn to find more of the beauty in things people wouldn't usually give a second glance or thought. I think its shaped me to be more undedstanding and empathetic of others

I am a Muslim and I go to the mosque for congregation prayers on a daily basis. I am going to pray sincerely for her. Begging Allah to heal her completely. I would also pray for all the sick and I'll people; including those people with cancer and aids. We all love you sincerely. Go with God and ask only Him for all your needs.

Im happy to see her smiling & taking life easy. I too have a spinal problem since 3 years which there is no cure for but I too take life as it goes coz when I'm sick I feel more closer to God. I know sometimes the pain & suffering gets unbearable but that doesn't mean we should lose Hope. You've kept a beautiful name positive energy so let's be positive about life and believe that we will get cured. I know that God will do something beautiful in her life too and I pray that she gets healed completely.

I know how you feel when many people ask about your skin..I also have eczema..if I forget to take my pills and do not keep my skin moist..my skin will crack and itch .. people always ask me if they look at my skin so I always cover it as much as I can..My skin is very sensitive to hot and cold weather..and when I take a shower my skin feels very sore..but I am still grateful for the condition of my skin because compared to you..my pain is very far away from you..I am very impressed with your spirit..❤️❤️love

This is a truely sad disease that anyone could ever have. But she has a spirit that keeps her positive way of thinking and not allow it to stop living her life. Girl, wear the crop tops. Show off that tube. People need to get used to seeing it and other things. There are so many health conditions that people live with each day and hide away, but we need to see it in daily life to normalize it. You're beautiful and your feeding tube is beautiful because it feeds you the nutrients that you need to keep living.

I had two babies with this horrible disease a very long time ago now sadly they had a very short life one died at 2wks old and the other. 5 1/2 months She is a very brave girl and I admire her but it’s an insight to what a painful life my babies would have had God bless you my dear ❤️
