- Women from the 437th Airlift Wing and the 315th Airlift Wing located at Joint Base Charleston, SC, United States, in conjunction with women from the Army 82nd Airborne Division located at Pope Army Airfield, NC, celebrated Women's History Month with an all-female flight and airdrop. All female flight, U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III aircraft. Female pilot, women pilot, girl pilot.

I wore a flight suit for 22 years as a KC-10 instructor pilot…I’m proud of these ladies as equally as I’m proud of all members of the military who bust their asses and work long days…
I wonder if I was in the USAF when you were. 1978 through 83 here.

Getting all the way to literally standing out the side of the plane ready to jump and they pull you back and cancel your jump. What an adrenaline rollercoaster!

Spend time at CAFB, 315th CES, Disaster Prep Supv (now, Emergency Mgt) - Prime BEEF - AFSC 3E971 - Msgt. I loved my time there and loved so see female airmen join the ranks. Much respect for all the professionals there. And that C17... AWESOME!

I have a fear of heights. Not when flying in a plane, but jumping. I don't know if I could do that. I'd need a course to overcome that. Respect and to all for your service in defending our great country.

Working in the Sandbox, Amelia Earharts Birthday, we had a all female crew come in to pick up a load, it was great to see.

You do realize that during WW2, the Russians had female fighter pilots, female tank commanders, female snipers, etc. Diversity does not make a military force stronger. Having the best, most qualified people makes a military strong.

When they landed they should receive flowers. It happened once with American Airlines, the whole crew was female, and when they landed, they receive beautiful roses bouquets.
