The reason why it's Melia and Nia is because they both age so much slower than normal homs/ humans do in their respective universes, so since the games theme is life, then they could be maybe mourning the loss of Shulk and Rex. When the pair found out what the other world did, and how the end of their games happened, they could've viewed it as the other partys fault the world is how it is, and ended up going to war because of it.

Yo just to point out something cool I noticed - the name aionius is a combo of the artifice aion from XC2 and bionis/mechonis which makes sense if the worlds are actually one after the end of both games

Why would they combine those two? Bionis and Mechonis were the names of the world that XC1 takes place in, but Aion was just a giant robot. Alrest was the name of the world in XC2, so if they were going for a combined name it would be Alronis or something. Pretty obviously not what's going on there. Much more likely it's a unique name referencing the Greek word for time as others have mentioned. Also keep in mind the English translation for XBC2 in particular took a LOT of liberties with how they translated names, so the original Japanese might have nothing at all to do with this one. EDIT: yup, the Japanese is "Aionion" which is Greek for "partaking of the age to come" according to Biblical scholarship since the word is used multiple times in the New Testament. Supposedly it literally means "eternal" and refers to an "age" that will last forever specifically with the focus on what is to come in the future.
I really hope neither Melia nor Nia are evil in this. It kind of seems like maybe they're at odds with each at first but then realize they're really not each others enemy
Takahashi had an interesting interview regarding this game, where he stated that he planned for the game "In between" Xenoblade 1 and 2's development-- which is during X's development. Sus, considering prior to Xc2's release he said he planned all of Xenoblade 2's lore as part of Xenoblade X's development as well. As Monolith confirmed that when Takahashi wrote Xenoblade X's lore, he wrote more lore for it than any Xeno game ever made (which considering Xenogears is literally 5 massive epochs stitched together, and a slot left open afterwards, that's a lotta lore). I don't really know what to say except; Takahashi seems to REALLY plan ahead.
Off-seer makes me think Off-"see"-er where they see the souls of the departed off into the afterlife similar to Yuna from FFX. Since they said this story is about life, makes me think what happens in this life and the next life and/or the after-life. Also, do mechon "live". Reminds me of Xenosaga and KOS-MOS.
I think the off-seer is probably tied to the flutes. Maybe it is a thing where they do a ritual to mourn the dead by playing the flute. Also, it's interesting that Agnus uses autonomous ether weapons, so I think a return of some form of Poppi or the legacy of Poppi will appear somewhere too. Maybe Poppi will even end up being an ancient ancestor to KOS-MOS like beings. Plus, there was the promise Hikari/Mythra and Poppi made near the end of XB2 so I wonder if that will come into play somehow.
0:47 On the Japanese website they use the word おくりびと, okuribito. It basically is like a person who sees people off (for example departing at the airport). In the context of Xenoblade 3, it refers to Noah and Mio seeing off fallen soldiers. I think it might actually play into a sort of ritual for the fallen, involving their flutes.

I believe Noah and Mio are initially enemies along with the other two Keves/Agnus characters and then afterwards join together as I believe Keves and Agnus are being manipulated by a third person/party into fighting each other. Also I'm pretty sure Lanz is a Machina seeing as how he's on the Keves side initially along with Eunie who's a High Entia. Also in that scene with the boat you can see a Leftherian titan in the water
That's what I also thought, but that sounds like a massive page from Fire Emblem: Fates as that game was basically the same in that regard in terms of story.

@@FateTheArcher Lanz is 100% Machina, Indoline have blue skin Lanz has two toned grey, Indoline have pointed ears Lanz has human-like ears, if you look closely at Machina children the ones in the floating pods they have human-like faces with grey hair (Vanea also has grey hair), I think the reason Machine look non-human is due to their clothing/armour being integrated into their mechanical bodies making hard to tell what they look like naturally. Also Keves seems to represent XC1 with Melia as the leader so Keves would consist of Homs, High Entia, Machina and Nopon while Argus represents XC2 with Nia as the leader so Argus would consist of Humans, Gormotti, Blades along with Flesh Eaters & Blade Eaters, Nopon and possibly Urayans and Indoline (though with the key visual of this game showing the Urayan titan practically cut in half perhaps Urayans are extinct as for the Indoline well the weren't many left after the fall of Indol in XC2 anyway) Also I noticed in the trailer we see two Nopon one blue with black clothes (Keves) and one orange with white clothes (Argus) and they're interacting with no hostility so I think that maybe the XC1 and XC2 Nopon are actually united behind Keves and Argus's backs with maybe a Bana like Nopon profiting off of the war though I don't think the Nopon are the "real enemy" that Vandham(?) mentions.

Its also used a lot in the Bible for any words related to time periods or eternity In gnosticisn Aeons are what the higher gods are called, ones in the realm of pleroma where Sophia came from, greater than the demiurge. This all has some very interesting implications for the story

5:18 Machina village got filled in it looks like. You can also see the lookout area used in the other shot on the fingertip. So I have a theory (that I actually made a video about a few years ago) which is what if Mira is this combined world of 1 and 2, but way further in the future? Like the ruins in Oblivia are the exact same as in Mor Ardain and the ruins in Cauldros could be the remains of this new group of people built around technology. As said in the video, the landscapes are starting to resemble those of X’s.

Bro we're kind of loathing it, they kind of insinuate their roles with the way they are presented and the voice overs that play for the reveal, and the way it feels is as though they might push them into antagonist positions and hoo boy a lot of us REALLY don't want to fight Melia and Nia. I for one, do not have the heart for that. That's just my shared speculation with a small part of the XC community that I interact with.
I hope that the fog king is the main antagonist and that focusing on these two is just them tricking us. If it isn’t, then I don’t know how future connected is setting up for anything like they insisted, aside from helping Melia get confident to lead her people again…
I wasn’t a fan of Xenoblade back when 1, 2, and X came out, but now that I have gotten invested into this series, XC3 will be a Day 1 purchase for me for sure! I’m so excited!
You really should play the first two. Xenoblade X is kinda its own separate thing, so imo its optional. That game to be completely honest, was a failure. sales numbers prove that.

Noah very much has an Abel look to him, with Uzuki vibes too (likely homage). But VERY Abel. This would indicate that this series is finally going to explore domains and extra space, as the original Xenogears and Xenosaga stories did. Abel is always inherently linked to that concept. Heck, Xenosaga had a being/representative of a higher domain being known as Abel's Arc, so Noah's name seems to be a bit of a callback to that. Abels Arc was considered a Gnosis by most people in the games. Gnosis are the dead who invade living space. I'd expect that Abel will have a role that links him to death, potentially unknowingly sending people to the dead's domain. This would mean that some form of Gnosis will be present in this game. Also, the plot line sounds quite a bit like Xenogears, a game where Abel is the protagonist. Xenogears was originally called Project Noah. So ... Yeah. Best lore up on the old series folks.
4:36 looks like Alba Cavanich and 4:42 to Leftheria. Also, if Nia is alive, we might see Dromarch again. It is also possible that we could see Pyra and Mythra again. However, it seems that blades are independent from humans there so maybe they became mortals? In fact the only character that is sure to be still alive is Poppi as she is artificial.
well the thing is, Amalthus and Nia might be the only blade eaters to have been able to summon blades as their allies. most of them fight by their own, so there is a strong chance that in this future, the problem with the blade eaters lifespan has been fixed?
@@AlejandroRodriguez-cy8ee (spoilers for X2) Wasn't Nia a flesh eater, not a blade eater? We saw Nia, Patroka and Akhos use blades, so it doesn't appear to be a problem for flesh eaters in general to have or use blades. Jin seemed to have the ability to, but chose not to on principle. Minoth is a wildcard IIRC, I don't think it's ever mentioned why he doesn't have a blade. For the blade eaters, we have four examples that are able to use blades freely - Amalthus, Zeke, Mikhail, and Rex himself. Gort wasn't shown with a blade, but also wasn't of sound mind so is again a wildcard.

I seriously thought that the old guy was an older Zeke seeing as he is likely to live longer given that he's a blade eater and the eye patch though now that you mention that it is indeed Vandham's VA and I look at the X scar on his face, I'm not sure now. It does seem a bit impossible to be Vandham given that he's a bit... well... deceased... but I would love to know how he's back if that is him. I still want to see Zeke in the game though.

Okay, so theory: that guy with Vandham's VA... IS Vandham. In XB2, Shulk and Fiora crossed over as Blades. What if the opposite is also possible, but the trigger is death? Maybe when Vandham died in the XB2 world, he somehow crossed over into the XB1 world? It's a stretch, but it's all I've got.

I'm thinking Nia got split into two, her blade and gormotti half. Perhaps the last gift to the blades was "curing" flesh eaters" by giving the flesh back. Thus the girl Nia was forced to "eat" is reborn and given her old name (or new name) and lives her own life. The fact blade nia is there makes me think she's gonna be on the good side and there will be a twist where you think she's turned eveil but you were on the wrong side at the start

My theory is that Shulk's wish for a world without gods pulled the landmasses of XC1 to Alrest. Also things I'm betting we'll see -The box art protagonists ending up together. -Another girl getting friendzoned. -An annoying and brutal boss fight that everyone including Chuggaaconroy will detest. -A Territorial Rotbart roaming one of the early levels.
A reason Keeves and Agnus are a war could be fear of how the other country is capable of tearing down their way of life. Even if the masked leaders aren't actually Melia or Nia, this could apply. Here are a few things we know that could contribute: -The leader of Keeves is a High Entia -High Entia are susceptible to turning into Telethia when exposed to large amounts of Ether -We have no clue how watered-down High Entia genetics have to be for the Telethia Gene to be completely eradicated. It could still be a recessive genotype in Half-Homs -Keeves is a country that uses technology with minimal ether, if any is used at all -Keeves is likely where anyone without the ability to channel Ether would settle down... excluding High Entia; but with the truth of the Telethia Gene, it's unlikely the average High Entia would be willing to risk the chance of Ether exposure they'd get in Agnus activating a dormant Telethia gene; or exposure to Ether that could effect their future children. -Agnus' leader is a Flesh Eater (we can see her core crystal) -Many Flesh Eaters were created from experimental science and technology. -Agnus is likely the country most Drivers and Blades drift to, due to the country being Ether dependent. -If Agnus houses Flesh Eaters, they probably also provide a refuge for Blade Eaters as well. -Flesh/Blade Eaters, and Blades are all dependant on Ether to survive long term. We don't know for sure how long they'd live without Ether, but we at least know their remaining time alive will be painful. Cut off the Ether flow, and all will die slow and agonizing deaths. ^ This puts both countries in a position to be weary of eachother from the start. Keeves has a reason to fear Agnus getting too powerful, and Agnus has reason to fear the same from Keeves. If one country upsets the fragile balance of power between the two, the other could very well be wiped out if they aggressor so wished. This doesn't even take into account Nia and Melia's personal experiences involving these topics, since there isn't a guarentee the masked leaders are them (tho let's be honest- same looks AND VAs? Likely them). This is just looking at facts and speculating on them.
The machine that Melia encounters during her test in the High Entia Tomb reveals that Half-breed High Entia have roughly 80% Homs DNA integration and that for the Telethia gene to be complete removed from the High-Entia would take roughly 8 generations. However, seeing as the half-breed High Entia did not have their Telethia gene activate even with Zanza activating the gene. It can be save to say that none f the High entia in XC3 have the capacity to turn into Telethia even if they were to be expose to a significant amount of ether.
Me: hasn't completed Xenoblade 2 and hasn't even touched Xenoblade 1. Also me: watches a trailer analysis for Xenoblade 3, not knowing any of the significant characters and setpieces. Not gonna lie as a (sort of) outsider to everything it seems kinda weird to have characters from both Xenoblade 1 and 2 coexist in the same world when they didn't before (outside of DLC), so I kinda hope that these characters, although similar to characters from the previous games, are not those same characters, otherwise I get this feeling that I have to buy Xenoblade 1 in order to understand the full story, which might be a problem because I don't have the time (I barely have enough time to play Xenoblade 2).
I just wanted to point out that Keves and Angus have some very striking parallels to Kislev and Aveh from Xenogears. I am actually compiling a bunch of xenogears connections for analysis, and this very well may be a secret gears retelling.
It seems like that figure has a conection/parallel to Vandham but I wouldn't say it is him considering he is dead and XC3 seems to take place in the far future and a human like Vandham would most likely die of old age by then.
Knowing that the Xeno franchise has some parts inspired by the Bible, like the Holy Trinity in 1, Eden in 2, or even Jesus Christ himself in Xenosaga, the fact that the MC is named Noah and the variarity of races in the party could mean something
The only way I see a world mergin event is none other that the Mist lord (final enemy of future connected). It has shown that its power relates to dimensional portals, creating one that conected xeno 1 and xeno X, and also has a extrangely resemblance for the 3 aegis, that also is know to triger dimensional rifts (since we know it activated one and thus only having 2 aegis in xeno 2). also, that would make sense if you suppose he/it is the REAL enemy as they say along the trailer, so maybe: 1. the protagonist from xeno 1 and 2 were taking by the mist lord or they are fighting him off camera in an alternate dimension, being melia and nia the ones who remain on the normal world, and maybe the mist lord deceive them to think each other are the enemys 2. the first thing, but instead of being deceived, maybe they are intentionally fighting for a different purpose, like this makes the mist lord influence less powerfull, giving a chance to the rest of the world to live, and maybe save the LIVES of those who are fighting it. that also doesnt explain what happened to the conduit and xenoblade X, maybe th emist lord made something with that world?
What i think may have happened is that when klaus re created the world at the end of xc2 he merged xc1 and xc2 possibly X as well but i doubt that although the fact that the 1st tribe use things similar to skells and mekhon allows us to create a paralel to 1 and X sorry for the spelling mistakes

Ok but Flyann may be on to something with Noah's Ark Names have power and foreshadowing (Especially in JRPGs) a good example is Rex (which is another word for king) becoming the Master Driver and veritable King of Blades, or the Trinity Processors and their Greek names While we don't know the specifics as to why the groups are fighting we DO know that the party this time is from people from both sides so maybe it's about stopping the war, and near the last act Noah may have to pull a Master Ava with the Dandelions and gather a bunch of people to save them from whatever world-ending cataclysm/war is happening like Noah had to save the animals There's also the fact that there is no God in this world, The Architect/Zanza and Meyneth are dead, and Shulk rejected Godhood. So maybe someone is trying to ascend to Godhood to stop the war with heavy sacrifices as its toll (The “they're his fuel” line) and Noah will have to save a bunch of people from that cataclysm There's also the fact every Xenoblade game has the characters going to a new world at some point (the end of Xenoblade 1/2, the entire plot of X) so maybe Noah will have to make a new world from what's left Or maybe I'm just analyzing a guy who likes boat's theory too hard ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Edit: After looking at some other theories and analysis, I may be on to with the ascension and Ark. What if, in the end of XC1. Shulk wish for a world without a god. And they somehow got teleported to the world of XC2. Alvis said 'this world is not only yours, but many others-or something like that'. Because the world in XC2 is supposedly huge, and we got only exploring very little area of it ( near the world tree) Thus explaining many things.
With the Noah’s ark thing, ever wonder why the Xenoblade 2 world is flooded in the cloud sea? These games are connected already so the chances of some ark thing are very slim but hey, they might show us a thing or three and I’m really feeling it doing something with previous characters so we just have to wait.

could see it being Rex, Vandham was something of a father figure and Zeke was like a big brother, so an older Rex having visual elements of both is a very thematic anime/jrpg thing to do lol (that's not a complaint btw)
@@darthmarth87 they’ve said this takes place WAY in the future long after the human characters have passed. Shulk and Rex are NOT in this game. If they were they would be the main characters.
Its fitting that Melia and Nia would be the only ones left, both lore wise but also thematically. Nia, the last of the flesh eaters, able to keep herself from deteriorating on account of her god like mending abilities. Melia, the last survivor of the High Entia Royal counter and high priestess, and likely the one to take Shulk's mantle as the hero/figurehead of Bionis after he passes. Though I would have assumed that with her high percentage of human DNA, Melia wouldn't live quite as long as the pure blooded High Entia. That being said, your theory that the plot of this converged world leading into the enticing conflict of Xenoblade X is hype and it would actually make me appreciate the story of that game more. But there was a part of me that wanted to assume, with little evidence mind you, that X came before or tangential to Claus's experiment. The fact that the recovery and renascence team in X, made up of android human proxies, is called Blade, and the way the robots and tech of that game mirrors what we find in the world tree. It made it seem like Claus modeled the blades and the artifices of his previous worlds tech.
Theory about Eunia I think, she might be another Half homs. I don't remember the exact details, but melia tells us that there is a difference between Half High Entias and Pure High Entias and that is based around the wings in their head. Short ones are half, longer ones which allow them to fly are pure. I think that's how it goes. another theory i want to add is that we are seeing more scenery around Mechonis than the Bionis. We can see the sword which was only possible if you were close in the first xenoblade game, and the part that you said that looks like something from Xenblade chronicles x has a mechanical finger which it tells us that we are on the Mechonis hand which is where the Machina resided. They tend to have a WAAY longer lifespan than the High Entia's (which is saying something). But we see not a single trace of them in here. One final theory I believe the architecture of the Keeves (heh, there is a Keanu Reeves joke to be made in the future) seem to have techonolgy similar to Shulk's (Eunia has the same belt mechanism that Shulk has on the new episode. The monado outfit). Not only that, Noah's monado looks as if it was designed by Shulk since it's similar to the Monado EX. So my theory is that the Keeves are mostly comprised by residents of the Bionis whereas the Agnus are the people that are from Rex's world. The conflict seems to stems on which side is for the better future and that something is pulling the strings in the shadow so that war can happen. Perhaps Zanza's remains? Gonna go get a copy of Part 1 and play it for the first time now. I played part 2 first because....well....i simped for Pyra ok i said it. But now i need to go back and play part 1. I loved 2 hope i like part 1. My only gripe with part 1 was voice acting for Rex at certain parts, but other than that. No regrets.
What i think is that in xenoblade 2 how we are told how the universe was either split or just half of what the original world was. Maybe this game is what that world would have been if it wasnt split. Edit: Whoops I meant in the xenoblade 2 game sorry for spoilers for that game. I thibk it was a parallel universe kind of thing. And the events of xeno1 and xeno 2 were happening at the exact same time in their respective universes. And the universes were created by the one guy i forgot the name. So maybe after he like passed and the events of both gmaes happened. The universes merged cuz their was nothing spliting them anymore cuz he passed.

The reason why it's Melia and Nia is because they both age so much slower than normal homs/ humans do in their respective universes, so since the games theme is life, then they could be maybe mourning the loss of Shulk and Rex.
When the pair found out what the other world did, and how the end of their games happened, they could've viewed it as the other partys fault the world is how it is, and ended up going to war because of it.
I'd really like to see Rex, Pyra and Shulk in this game, but this makes sense

Yo just to point out something cool I noticed - the name aionius is a combo of the artifice aion from XC2 and bionis/mechonis which makes sense if the worlds are actually one after the end of both games

Why would they combine those two? Bionis and Mechonis were the names of the world that XC1 takes place in, but Aion was just a giant robot. Alrest was the name of the world in XC2, so if they were going for a combined name it would be Alronis or something. Pretty obviously not what's going on there. Much more likely it's a unique name referencing the Greek word for time as others have mentioned.
Also keep in mind the English translation for XBC2 in particular took a LOT of liberties with how they translated names, so the original Japanese might have nothing at all to do with this one.
EDIT: yup, the Japanese is "Aionion" which is Greek for "partaking of the age to come" according to Biblical scholarship since the word is used multiple times in the New Testament. Supposedly it literally means "eternal" and refers to an "age" that will last forever specifically with the focus on what is to come in the future.
I think the most interesting thing about the main characters is that they finally have non-fantasy drip. This is a startling revelation.

Takahashi had an interesting interview regarding this game, where he stated that he planned for the game "In between" Xenoblade 1 and 2's development-- which is during X's development. Sus, considering prior to Xc2's release he said he planned all of Xenoblade 2's lore as part of Xenoblade X's development as well. As Monolith confirmed that when Takahashi wrote Xenoblade X's lore, he wrote more lore for it than any Xeno game ever made (which considering Xenogears is literally 5 massive epochs stitched together, and a slot left open afterwards, that's a lotta lore). I don't really know what to say except; Takahashi seems to REALLY plan ahead.

Off-seer makes me think Off-"see"-er where they see the souls of the departed off into the afterlife similar to Yuna from FFX. Since they said this story is about life, makes me think what happens in this life and the next life and/or the after-life. Also, do mechon "live". Reminds me of Xenosaga and KOS-MOS.
I think the off-seer is probably tied to the flutes. Maybe it is a thing where they do a ritual to mourn the dead by playing the flute. Also, it's interesting that Agnus uses autonomous ether weapons, so I think a return of some form of Poppi or the legacy of Poppi will appear somewhere too. Maybe Poppi will even end up being an ancient ancestor to KOS-MOS like beings. Plus, there was the promise Hikari/Mythra and Poppi made near the end of XB2 so I wonder if that will come into play somehow.
0:47 On the Japanese website they use the word おくりびと, okuribito. It basically is like a person who sees people off (for example departing at the airport). In the context of Xenoblade 3, it refers to Noah and Mio seeing off fallen soldiers. I think it might actually play into a sort of ritual for the fallen, involving their flutes.

I believe Noah and Mio are initially enemies along with the other two Keves/Agnus characters and then afterwards join together as I believe Keves and Agnus are being manipulated by a third person/party into fighting each other. Also I'm pretty sure Lanz is a Machina seeing as how he's on the Keves side initially along with Eunie who's a High Entia. Also in that scene with the boat you can see a Leftherian titan in the water
That's what I also thought, but that sounds like a massive page from Fire Emblem: Fates as that game was basically the same in that regard in terms of story.

@@FateTheArcher Lanz is 100% Machina, Indoline have blue skin Lanz has two toned grey, Indoline have pointed ears Lanz has human-like ears, if you look closely at Machina children the ones in the floating pods they have human-like faces with grey hair (Vanea also has grey hair), I think the reason Machine look non-human is due to their clothing/armour being integrated into their mechanical bodies making hard to tell what they look like naturally. Also Keves seems to represent XC1 with Melia as the leader so Keves would consist of Homs, High Entia, Machina and Nopon while Argus represents XC2 with Nia as the leader so Argus would consist of Humans, Gormotti, Blades along with Flesh Eaters & Blade Eaters, Nopon and possibly Urayans and Indoline (though with the key visual of this game showing the Urayan titan practically cut in half perhaps Urayans are extinct as for the Indoline well the weren't many left after the fall of Indol in XC2 anyway) Also I noticed in the trailer we see two Nopon one blue with black clothes (Keves) and one orange with white clothes (Argus) and they're interacting with no hostility so I think that maybe the XC1 and XC2 Nopon are actually united behind Keves and Argus's backs with maybe a Bana like Nopon profiting off of the war though I don't think the Nopon are the "real enemy" that Vandham(?) mentions.

So I have a theory (that I actually made a video about a few years ago) which is what if Mira is this combined world of 1 and 2, but way further in the future? Like the ruins in Oblivia are the exact same as in Mor Ardain and the ruins in Cauldros could be the remains of this new group of people built around technology. As said in the video, the landscapes are starting to resemble those of X’s.

Bro we're kind of loathing it, they kind of insinuate their roles with the way they are presented and the voice overs that play for the reveal, and the way it feels is as though they might push them into antagonist positions and hoo boy a lot of us REALLY don't want to fight Melia and Nia. I for one, do not have the heart for that. That's just my shared speculation with a small part of the XC community that I interact with.
I hope that the fog king is the main antagonist and that focusing on these two is just them tricking us. If it isn’t, then I don’t know how future connected is setting up for anything like they insisted, aside from helping Melia get confident to lead her people again…
I wasn’t a fan of Xenoblade back when 1, 2, and X came out, but now that I have gotten invested into this series, XC3 will be a Day 1 purchase for me for sure! I’m so excited!
You really should play the first two. Xenoblade X is kinda its own separate thing, so imo its optional. That game to be completely honest, was a failure. sales numbers prove that.

Noah very much has an Abel look to him, with Uzuki vibes too (likely homage). But VERY Abel. This would indicate that this series is finally going to explore domains and extra space, as the original Xenogears and Xenosaga stories did. Abel is always inherently linked to that concept.
Heck, Xenosaga had a being/representative of a higher domain being known as Abel's Arc, so Noah's name seems to be a bit of a callback to that. Abels Arc was considered a Gnosis by most people in the games. Gnosis are the dead who invade living space. I'd expect that Abel will have a role that links him to death, potentially unknowingly sending people to the dead's domain. This would mean that some form of Gnosis will be present in this game.
Also, the plot line sounds quite a bit like Xenogears, a game where Abel is the protagonist. Xenogears was originally called Project Noah. So ... Yeah. Best lore up on the old series folks.
I think the “Garbulio” is actually Machina, not Indoline.
4:36 looks like Alba Cavanich and 4:42 to Leftheria. Also, if Nia is alive, we might see Dromarch again. It is also possible that we could see Pyra and Mythra again. However, it seems that blades are independent from humans there so maybe they became mortals? In fact the only character that is sure to be still alive is Poppi as she is artificial.
well the thing is, Amalthus and Nia might be the only blade eaters to have been able to summon blades as their allies. most of them fight by their own, so there is a strong chance that in this future, the problem with the blade eaters lifespan has been fixed?

Wasn't Nia a flesh eater, not a blade eater? We saw Nia, Patroka and Akhos use blades, so it doesn't appear to be a problem for flesh eaters in general to have or use blades. Jin seemed to have the ability to, but chose not to on principle. Minoth is a wildcard IIRC, I don't think it's ever mentioned why he doesn't have a blade.
For the blade eaters, we have four examples that are able to use blades freely - Amalthus, Zeke, Mikhail, and Rex himself. Gort wasn't shown with a blade, but also wasn't of sound mind so is again a wildcard.

I seriously thought that the old guy was an older Zeke seeing as he is likely to live longer given that he's a blade eater and the eye patch though now that you mention that it is indeed Vandham's VA and I look at the X scar on his face, I'm not sure now. It does seem a bit impossible to be Vandham given that he's a bit... well... deceased... but I would love to know how he's back if that is him. I still want to see Zeke in the game though.

So I know most people made note of Rex’s English VA pop up in this trailer but I can’t help but hear Shulks English VA in the very beginning. I get that’s supposed to be Noah (or at least I think that’s the consensus) but it just sounds so much like shulk to me.

A reason Keeves and Agnus are a war could be fear of how the other country is capable of tearing down their way of life. Even if the masked leaders aren't actually Melia or Nia, this could apply. Here are a few things we know that could contribute:
-The leader of Keeves is a High Entia
-High Entia are susceptible to turning into Telethia when exposed to large amounts of Ether
-We have no clue how watered-down High Entia genetics have to be for the Telethia Gene to be completely eradicated. It could still be a recessive genotype in Half-Homs
-Keeves is a country that uses technology with minimal ether, if any is used at all
-Keeves is likely where anyone without the ability to channel Ether would settle down... excluding High Entia; but with the truth of the Telethia Gene, it's unlikely the average High Entia would be willing to risk the chance of Ether exposure they'd get in Agnus activating a dormant Telethia gene; or exposure to Ether that could effect their future children.
-Agnus' leader is a Flesh Eater (we can see her core crystal)
-Many Flesh Eaters were created from experimental science and technology.
-Agnus is likely the country most Drivers and Blades drift to, due to the country being Ether dependent.
-If Agnus houses Flesh Eaters, they probably also provide a refuge for Blade Eaters as well.
-Flesh/Blade Eaters, and Blades are all dependant on Ether to survive long term. We don't know for sure how long they'd live without Ether, but we at least know their remaining time alive will be painful. Cut off the Ether flow, and all will die slow and agonizing deaths.
^ This puts both countries in a position to be weary of eachother from the start. Keeves has a reason to fear Agnus getting too powerful, and Agnus has reason to fear the same from Keeves. If one country upsets the fragile balance of power between the two, the other could very well be wiped out if they aggressor so wished.
This doesn't even take into account Nia and Melia's personal experiences involving these topics, since there isn't a guarentee the masked leaders are them (tho let's be honest- same looks AND VAs? Likely them). This is just looking at facts and speculating on them.
The machine that Melia encounters during her test in the High Entia Tomb reveals that Half-breed High Entia have roughly 80% Homs DNA integration and that for the Telethia gene to be complete removed from the High-Entia would take roughly 8 generations. However, seeing as the half-breed High Entia did not have their Telethia gene activate even with Zanza activating the gene. It can be save to say that none f the High entia in XC3 have the capacity to turn into Telethia even if they were to be expose to a significant amount of ether.

Also me: watches a trailer analysis for Xenoblade 3, not knowing any of the significant characters and setpieces.
Not gonna lie as a (sort of) outsider to everything it seems kinda weird to have characters from both Xenoblade 1 and 2 coexist in the same world when they didn't before (outside of DLC), so I kinda hope that these characters, although similar to characters from the previous games, are not those same characters, otherwise I get this feeling that I have to buy Xenoblade 1 in order to understand the full story, which might be a problem because I don't have the time (I barely have enough time to play Xenoblade 2).

It seems like that figure has a conection/parallel to Vandham but I wouldn't say it is him considering he is dead and XC3 seems to take place in the far future and a human like Vandham would most likely die of old age by then.
Knowing that the Xeno franchise has some parts inspired by the Bible, like the Holy Trinity in 1, Eden in 2, or even Jesus Christ himself in Xenosaga, the fact that the MC is named Noah and the variarity of races in the party could mean something
The only way I see a world mergin event is none other that the Mist lord (final enemy of future connected). It has shown that its power relates to dimensional portals, creating one that conected xeno 1 and xeno X, and also has a extrangely resemblance for the 3 aegis, that also is know to triger dimensional rifts (since we know it activated one and thus only having 2 aegis in xeno 2).
also, that would make sense if you suppose he/it is the REAL enemy as they say along the trailer, so maybe:

What i think may have happened is that when klaus re created the world at the end of xc2 he merged xc1 and xc2 possibly X as well but i doubt that although the fact that the 1st tribe use things similar to skells and mekhon allows us to create a paralel to 1 and X sorry for the spelling mistakes

Ok but Flyann may be on to something with Noah's Ark
Names have power and foreshadowing (Especially in JRPGs) a good example is Rex (which is another word for king) becoming the Master Driver and veritable King of Blades, or the Trinity Processors and their Greek names
While we don't know the specifics as to why the groups are fighting we DO know that the party this time is from people from both sides so maybe it's about stopping the war, and near the last act Noah may have to pull a Master Ava with the Dandelions and gather a bunch of people to save them from whatever world-ending cataclysm/war is happening like Noah had to save the animals
There's also the fact that there is no God in this world, The Architect/Zanza and Meyneth are dead, and Shulk rejected Godhood. So maybe someone is trying to ascend to Godhood to stop the war with heavy sacrifices as its toll (The “they're his fuel” line) and Noah will have to save a bunch of people from that cataclysm
There's also the fact every Xenoblade game has the characters going to a new world at some point (the end of Xenoblade 1/2, the entire plot of X) so maybe Noah will have to make a new world from what's left

Edit: After looking at some other theories and analysis, I may be on to with the ascension and Ark. See the game has a lot of other Christian overtones like the world being called Aionios, a Greek word for God in the context of Him being the beginning and end, but as I mentioned before there should be no gods as all of them are dead or declined to be one, meaning that someone may try apotheosis...

What if, in the end of XC1. Shulk wish for a world without a god. And they somehow got teleported to the world of XC2. Alvis said 'this world is not only yours, but many others-or something like that'.
Because the world in XC2 is supposedly huge, and we got only exploring very little area of it ( near the world tree)

With the Noah’s ark thing, ever wonder why the Xenoblade 2 world is flooded in the cloud sea? These games are connected already so the chances of some ark thing are very slim but hey, they might show us a thing or three and I’m really feeling it doing something with previous characters so we just have to wait.
i would like to add that the game has a huge amount of parallels with takahashis first directed game, Xenogears
3:37 i think "vandam" might be rex's blade since he kinda looks like a fusion of vandam and zeke with rex's hair and eye color. Or it might just be rex himself who knows.
Could even just be Zeke, but I only think that mostly because of the eyepatch
could see it being Rex, Vandham was something of a father figure and Zeke was like a big brother, so an older Rex having visual elements of both is a very thematic anime/jrpg thing to do lol (that's not a complaint btw)
@@darthmarth87 they’ve said this takes place WAY in the future long after the human characters have passed. Shulk and Rex are NOT in this game. If they were they would be the main characters.

She’s my favourite Xenoblade character!
Its fitting that Melia and Nia would be the only ones left, both lore wise but also thematically. Nia, the last of the flesh eaters, able to keep herself from deteriorating on account of her god like mending abilities. Melia, the last survivor of the High Entia Royal counter and high priestess, and likely the one to take Shulk's mantle as the hero/figurehead of Bionis after he passes. Though I would have assumed that with her high percentage of human DNA, Melia wouldn't live quite as long as the pure blooded High Entia.
That being said, your theory that the plot of this converged world leading into the enticing conflict of Xenoblade X is hype and it would actually make me appreciate the story of that game more. But there was a part of me that wanted to assume, with little evidence mind you, that X came before or tangential to Claus's experiment. The fact that the recovery and renascence team in X, made up of android human proxies, is called Blade, and the way the robots and tech of that game mirrors what we find in the world tree. It made it seem like Claus modeled the blades and the artifices of his previous worlds tech.
Theory about Eunia
I think, she might be another Half homs. I don't remember the exact details, but melia tells us that there is a difference between Half High Entias and Pure High Entias and that is based around the wings in their head. Short ones are half, longer ones which allow them to fly are pure. I think that's how it goes.
another theory i want to add is that we are seeing more scenery around Mechonis than the Bionis. We can see the sword which was only possible if you were close in the first xenoblade game, and the part that you said that looks like something from Xenblade chronicles x has a mechanical finger which it tells us that we are on the Mechonis hand which is where the Machina resided. They tend to have a WAAY longer lifespan than the High Entia's (which is saying something). But we see not a single trace of them in here.
One final theory
I believe the architecture of the Keeves (heh, there is a Keanu Reeves joke to be made in the future) seem to have techonolgy similar to Shulk's (Eunia has the same belt mechanism that Shulk has on the new episode. The monado outfit). Not only that, Noah's monado looks as if it was designed by Shulk since it's similar to the Monado EX. So my theory is that the Keeves are mostly comprised by residents of the Bionis whereas the Agnus are the people that are from Rex's world. The conflict seems to stems on which side is for the better future and that something is pulling the strings in the shadow so that war can happen. Perhaps Zanza's remains? The new anomaly creatures that drives monsters insane and consumes others in the new episode XC1DE? and what happened to the telethia's? will they be finally cured? along with the blade eaters lifespan?

Gonna go get a copy of Part 1 and play it for the first time now. I played part 2 first because....well....i simped for Pyra ok i said it. But now i need to go back and play part 1. I loved 2 hope i like part 1. My only gripe with part 1 was voice acting for Rex at certain parts, but other than that. No regrets.

What i think is that in xenoblade 2 how we are told how the universe was either split or just half of what the original world was. Maybe this game is what that world would have been if it wasnt split.
Edit: Whoops I meant in the xenoblade 2 game sorry for spoilers for that game. I thibk it was a parallel universe kind of thing. And the events of xeno1 and xeno 2 were happening at the exact same time in their respective universes. And the universes were created by the one guy i forgot the name. So maybe after he like passed and the events of both gmaes happened. The universes merged cuz their was nothing spliting them anymore cuz he passed.
