@@nicoluca_11 seconded on Xenoblade X. There's not enough focus on how good that game was. The plot was weak but the gameplay was by far the best in any open world RPG ever or since. Once I unlocked overdrive (and looked up the wiki on the various ways on how to make overdrive last the entire fight), every other open world RPG just paled in comparison!
Dude... played through that today and like WTF when they got to that scene in the Castle. This alone made it better than XB2 in all respects. I had to clear my head after that, after all, we're in Ereth Sea, from XB1.
he also forgot to say that FUCKING POPPI was hiding in that machine all the damn time! and poppi isn't a playable character but Mio and Melia are (if you complete the game then hit continue and decided to fuck out of origin just before the z fight and go find them),,, but yeah.. fucking A! The main scene in the game that really threw me off guard laughing my ass of was the casts reaction to the question who wants to learn how babys are made. You knew they all got "the talk" even if it wasnt shown.

Just wanted to thank you guys for your support. I couldn’t give you guys a playthrough this time around. I decided to experience and savor the game on my own, since I've never had a chance to do it before with Xenoblade. I know a bunch of you were looking forward to another playthrough on UA-cam, but I hope you guys understand my decision, and hopefully the effort and care I put in this animated video makes up for that. I remember the potato quest... After an hour running around like an insane person, i actually said out loud to myself: "I have now spent an hour and ten minutes growing potatoes, for a hero quest, am not done yet, and i'm not even mad about it!".

@@SifArtorias true.. but they also said it could have been the soil content or if the wormwood item or whatever was around or not being the cause.. if It's soil based then back to square 1. If the wormwood then again need to figure out where that is from.
Nia as a Flesh Eater can probably get damaged by having her body damaged, but she's also the god healing blade that can overcome an Aegis's defenses so injury probably doesn't matter to her anyways.
@@Antasma1 Only if their core crystal is damaged. Otherwise all body damage does nothing to a normal blade, who can reconstitute their entire body in seconds. Flesh Eaters gain a permanent and more importantly mortal physical body, which means they can die without the destruction of their core crystal.
@@Antasma1 She's the strongest healing blade. Her innate blade ability is healing and regeneration. It's so fast and powerful it can heal wounds from Aegis Malos's destruction ability, attacks from the planet destroyer, Artifice Aion, and override Malos own defenses to give him blade cancer. If her core crystal isn't damaged she can use her healing ability to regenerate just as fast as a normal blade would.
Quick tip that the game doesn't ever tell you: Take Triton to The City. Just do it. All of the Colony 15 quests are locked behind this one action, and I didn't even know it was a thing until post-game when I was just swapping around my Heroes in The City for a lark. Having a Quest Icon randomly show up after doing *EVERY SINGLE OTHER SIDE QUEST IN THE GAME, INCLUDING THE TWO POST-GAME HEROES,* was kind of a shock. Full stop, I put down my controller and started swearing until my throat could no longer make noises.
I’m gonna be honest, I did this on my first blind playthrough, purely so that I could get Soulhacker on more of my party members early, and just stumbled upon Triton’s questline. 😅

The second I saw Teach when playing the game, I immediately dubbed him Garbulio and he unironically became one of my favourite heroes. Every time I see him I point and say 'Garbulio' out loud. Why did you do this to me, Flyann?

I loved Ashera's ascension quest, which was never brought up in this video. Basically, her constant wish to die on the battlefield actually has a good reason, and wishing her to survive to the end would actually be cruel.
You forgot the after credits scene where noah hears the sending melody he and mio played... and then he disappears from his world. You literally see him vanish after pidgeons fly in front of the camera

Fun fact about the hero biter: The thing its standing on isn't a pedestal...its actually Riki's grave and the Dragon was actually protecting him, in other words...you invaded his sanctuary ~>~
@Arin Jäger if you think about it, that dragon is likely a baby of avalanche abaasy. That superboss in xenoblade chronicles was the strongest in the game and was part of a sidequest involving the nopon archsage. You had to beat it for riki to become a heropon.

I'm planning to stream the three games to friends at some point, and while I can happily skip all the sidequests in 1 and most of the ones in 2, 3's side quests are so plot-relevant and integral to character arcs I can't think of many I can skip, if any.. most of the less important ones are parts of chains
I'm sure you know this, but Melia and Nia are actually recruitable Heroes in the Postgame. And there's a scene between Nia and Mio that strongly implies that the original Mio is Nia's daughter. What grinds my gear is that we still don't know what the fog monsters in Future Connected are.
I like how Future Connected was supposedly important but the only connection between FC and 3 is the fog which plays a fair insignificant role overall. So unless the final DLC changes that then I guess they were either talking outta their ass or plans changed greatly.

@@Hawkatana Ahhh i see well that does explain why they look like that and why they would appear only after Shulk had defeated Zanza. tbh i think Ontos has something to do with the fog beasts to an extent considering his portal and powers shown in his battle with rex and Shulk and again during their rematch the colors match those of the fog beasts to in a way
I’m glad you brought up how sus Riku is because he’s somehow the most mysterious character in the game after the credits roll. I’ve somehow convinced myself that Riku is Alvis from Xenoblade 1 reincarnated. It’d explain how Riku could know Melia, who’d been locked up for centuries. Plus, it’d explain how Riku got the plot-convenient sword Lucky Seven which has some interesting similarities to the Monado (aka Alvis).
I've seen a lot of people theorizing Riku as Alvis but I just can't see it. That lad is 100% Nopon. He's pretty proud of his Noponness ("Everyone knows that Nopon still run deep!") and he absolutely holds a candle for Manana.
@@1Thunderfire The recent trailer is a huge piece of evidence against the riku=alvis theory. Alvis may have been responsible for the creation of moebius, or at least something horrific that made Shulk and Rex absolutely pissed. If Riku were Alvis, Melia wouldn’t have been so nice to him.

God I still remember chapter 5, that damn line where mio was like "if I could do it again I'd just spend more time with my noah", and then i cried for like 10 minutes... And not like a little sniffley cry either, dawg I was straight up bawling and in pain😂. Then you get the actual context/plot element in chapter 6 that happens, and that made it somehow hurt EVEN WORSE. God I hated how chapter 5 completely crashed in on itself with the whole prison part being really dumb IMO, but MAN that's easily the most emotionally invested I've ever been in a game. Easily my fav xenoblade character now and honestly prob my 2nd fav Nintendo character just behind midna.
Chapter 5 broke me. The longer it went on, the more i felt like: soemthing HAS to happen! They can't just kill off Mio! My bet was, that Monica and co would stage some epic rescue upon learning that we've failed. The whole thing was a ride i definitely won't forget for a good while.
A couple things to point out (spoilers for lategame stuff) (please be enough room to hide everything) Valdi was never mentioned, but he is a good boy who just wants to build a friend. His class is Sharla but without the kill button, so protect the child pls. I kind of wish his massive quest chain to get Dorrick finished had more reward to it at the end, though. Shania comes back as Moebius and attacks the city. Ghondor punches the life out of her. Sena gets a class upgrade from this event. I don't know, either. You missed out on coverage of the post-credits scene, which is a continuation of the opening cutscene. Everyone is back to being kids again, living in their original worlds. Noah is called to by his familiar friends and starts to follow, only to get distracted by a very familiar sound: the Agnian off-seer melody. Good video, and I hope you enjoy the DLC.
Ah, don't worry. Ghondor's class upgrade comes after she meets a giant friendly Tirkin...who then dies protecting his children. Being Ghondor is suffering.
This game was planned for years alongside XC2 only to be released right when Morbius was about to die as a meme, thus finding a way to make Morbius a part of its lore. This really is the best timeline.

This was my first xenoblade game and Nintendo planted the series in my mind with a side quest in breath of the wild. Over 100 hours in and still enjoying it

I went into Xenoblade 3 with low expectations as to not be disappointed. Over 90 hours later, I've come out the other end with my girl scout cookies stolen, my car key'd, and one of my three braincells' virginity taken. In other words, it's a contender for my Game of the Year.

the sad thing about the punch that Mio pulls on Moebius O and P is that, she's most likely only able to do it because she no longer feels things through touch; which is foreshadowed at the scene on a camp before the fight, where she struggles to rehearse her tune because she's losing feel in her hands

It's been a while since I've heard anyone talk about chad Rex, so when you mentioned Rule 5 of the Salvager's code, I was so confused... until the very end. Well played!
The bath scene where no one reacts and later when the guys react to the gals changing.... It's speculated that this is a reference to Adam and Eve. The cast eat the forbidden fruit from the snake; the power of Ouroboros. They leave the Garden, their Colony and all they knew, and learned shame. People think that the Flame Clock suppresses sexual urges as they only react after being freed. The swearing is also a neat way to reflect world building. Snuff, spark, and ashes refer to the states of the Flame Clock. Naturally, snuff and ashes are bad and spark is similar. Calling people mudder may refer to colony ranking, where the lowest is dirt. So calling them garbage or worthless, essentially. Queen is obviously their version saying God. Some speculation I've heard on the side.
you thought you bit off more than you could chew but you chewed this up with moxie and spit out this masterpiece with some of your best humor and storytelling to date. its clear xenoblade 3 meant a lot to you and in turn you put out what is probably the most entertaining video on it on this platform. phenomenal effort ‼

This is, like, exactly how I played the game. I spent like a full ten hours doing sidequests and exploring the Erythia Sea when I got there because God I love the boat

This video must’ve taken a lot of worm to do. I hope this video becomes very successful and even if it doesn’t, I appreciate the dedication to the people. Also that statement at 32:47. I felt that. Definitely didn’t die during the last phase just to start over again but over leveled and with rage. Gigachad Rex brought me back so overall 10/10 ending
I had to wait until May 2023 to watch and enjoy this amazing video, and it was nice to relive this game. My 200 hour playthrough (which is now 300 postgame) took me nearly 10 months to play. Just…so good.
Lucky 7 + Capable Hands. Got it. I already beat all the super bosses thanks to the DLC hero class. I haven't used Noah as sword fighter for awhile since I've been trying to get all the classes to at least level 10. This was a great video by the way

The fictional swears work so well in the fictional accent of most of the VAs. Alexandria’s quest got me over leveled that I didn’t grind at all until I beat the game. Chad Rex made me keel over since I just finished a NG+ of 2 before 3 came out
Never went 100% on the other two but I fiended sidequests so hard in this game before beating the game because I didn't wanna be roo overleveled for anything that I'm basically already done with most non-postgame content, so might as well right? I am struggling with finding the way to complete nias memories and dorrik Phase 10 tho, but I'll figure it out. Also, this game has some of the best sidequests ever made, literally, the Zeon upgrade quest with kite and juniper and the spongey spuds is THE BEST sidequest I have played in my LIFE, it's so well set up the writing's on point, kite's character arc is so amazing and earned, kite and zeon have such a great dynamic and I am OBSESSED with the kite zeon juniper trio, I accually cannot stop talking about how much I love them and appreciate them and how much I want them to be together!
I feel like getting all characters to level 99 was kinda a bad idea since the final boss is level 72. Granted it’s one of the longest final bosses in a Xeno game but I enjoyed my two hours of beating the shit out of him with my level 72 party
Thanks for making this video and giving me catharsis and a platform to voice some of my frustrations with this beautiful gem of a game! xD Will keep it brief, but the insane ending to chapter 5 DESTROYED me, the big revelation of Chapter 3 at Colony Ligma (or was it Lambda?) was a real point-of-no-return moment in the story for me, and the final boss battle is exactly what you describe it as: a 13 phase boss fight with unskippable cutscenes xD I ended up clearing it in my third try, after I had leveled my squad from lvl 72 to 74 and equip them with a bit more survivable kit, but there was no doubt I REALLY wished I could skip some of those cutscenes when I tried my second attempt out of sheer stubbornness xD In general, great recap and great animation, always a joy to watch your stuff dude!
17:00. See. I int-ed my boat ride experience by taking the time to literally map out the entire ocean on the minimap. Yeah I shouldn't have done that, but boy did i feel accomplished.
It wasn’t until swordmarch that I realized just how massive the titans of XC1 are. Like yeah I know Sword Valley is absolutely massive but I just never really noticed
So it is implied that the founder of House Vandham is either the son of or a decendant of M and N. It is then implied in Nia's post game quest that Mio is her duaghter with Rex. Thus all of house Vandham are decendants of Rex.
Found your channel through this video, and I gotta say - I like what I'm seein'! All jokes aside, great video, and great game, sank over 120 hours into it before the dlc with the challenges dropped, and just like you said, really like that they explore some darker themes - I mean even the certain character aging up wasn't completely out of nowhere, and has a weird sadness to it, as they just lose out on living those inbetween years (trying my best to be spoiler free)

I think something rather funny about the game is that the entire climax is about ending the endless now, but the post-game is the endless now
What you don't realize is that, you closing the game for the final time, is ending the endless now. The characters have moved on, but you haven't.
Until the 4th dlc comes out and gives us a (hopefully) definitive ending.

I loved Ashera's ascension quest, which was never brought up in this video. Basically, her constant wish to die on the battlefield actually has a good reason, and wishing her to survive to the end would actually be cruel.
You forgot the after credits scene where noah hears the sending melody he and mio played... and then he disappears from his world. You literally see him vanish after pidgeons fly in front of the camera

@Arin Jäger if you think about it, that dragon is likely a baby of avalanche abaasy. That superboss in xenoblade chronicles was the strongest in the game and was part of a sidequest involving the nopon archsage. You had to beat it for riki to become a heropon.

I'm planning to stream the three games to friends at some point, and while I can happily skip all the sidequests in 1 and most of the ones in 2, 3's side quests are so plot-relevant and integral to character arcs I can't think of many I can skip, if any.. most of the less important ones are parts of chains
I'm sure you know this, but Melia and Nia are actually recruitable Heroes in the Postgame. And there's a scene between Nia and Mio that strongly implies that the original Mio is Nia's daughter.
What grinds my gear is that we still don't know what the fog monsters in Future Connected are.
I like how Future Connected was supposedly important but the only connection between FC and 3 is the fog which plays a fair insignificant role overall.
So unless the final DLC changes that then I guess they were either talking outta their ass or plans changed greatly.
And now we know what the fog beasts are.

tbh i think Ontos has something to do with the fog beasts to an extent considering his portal and powers shown in his battle with rex and Shulk and again during their rematch the colors match those of the fog beasts to in a way
I’m glad you brought up how sus Riku is because he’s somehow the most mysterious character in the game after the credits roll. I’ve somehow convinced myself that Riku is Alvis from Xenoblade 1 reincarnated. It’d explain how Riku could know Melia, who’d been locked up for centuries. Plus, it’d explain how Riku got the plot-convenient sword Lucky Seven which has some interesting similarities to the Monado (aka Alvis).

God I still remember chapter 5, that damn line where mio was like "if I could do it again I'd just spend more time with my noah", and then i cried for like 10 minutes...
And not like a little sniffley cry either, dawg I was straight up bawling and in pain😂. Then you get the actual context/plot element in chapter 6 that happens, and that made it somehow hurt EVEN WORSE. God I hated how chapter 5 completely crashed in on itself with the whole prison part being really dumb IMO, but MAN that's easily the most emotionally invested I've ever been in a game. Easily my fav xenoblade character now and honestly prob my 2nd fav Nintendo character just behind midna.
Chapter 5 broke me. The longer it went on, the more i felt like: soemthing HAS to happen! They can't just kill off Mio!
My bet was, that Monica and co would stage some epic rescue upon learning that we've failed.
The whole thing was a ride i definitely won't forget for a good while.
I picked short hair for Mio because I’ve seen her with it for 120 hours already and change is scary
I played the game with her hair long for quite awhile but ultimately decided I prefer the short hair and changed it back

Valdi was never mentioned, but he is a good boy who just wants to build a friend. His class is Sharla but without the kill button, so protect the child pls. I kind of wish his massive quest chain to get Dorrick finished had more reward to it at the end, though.
Shania comes back as Moebius and attacks the city. Ghondor punches the life out of her. Sena gets a class upgrade from this event. I don't know, either.
You missed out on coverage of the post-credits scene, which is a continuation of the opening cutscene. Everyone is back to being kids again, living in their original worlds. Noah is called to by his familiar friends and starts to follow, only to get distracted by a very familiar sound: the Agnian off-seer melody.

This was my first xenoblade game and Nintendo planted the series in my mind with a side quest in breath of the wild. Over 100 hours in and still enjoying it

I went into Xenoblade 3 with low expectations as to not be disappointed. Over 90 hours later, I've come out the other end with my girl scout cookies stolen, my car key'd, and one of my three braincells' virginity taken. In other words, it's a contender for my Game of the Year.

It's been a while since I've heard anyone talk about chad Rex, so when you mentioned Rule 5 of the Salvager's code, I was so confused... until the very end.

The bath scene where no one reacts and later when the guys react to the gals changing.... It's speculated that this is a reference to Adam and Eve. The cast eat the forbidden fruit from the snake; the power of Ouroboros. They leave the Garden, their Colony and all they knew, and learned shame. People think that the Flame Clock suppresses sexual urges as they only react after being freed.
The swearing is also a neat way to reflect world building. Snuff, spark, and ashes refer to the states of the Flame Clock. Naturally, snuff and ashes are bad and spark is similar. Calling people mudder may refer to colony ranking, where the lowest is dirt. So calling them garbage or worthless, essentially. Queen is obviously their version saying God.
Some speculation I've heard on the side.
Idk if you forgot to get Nia and Melia in their post game quests, but they are a ton of fun and add a small bit of world building we needed.

I had to wait until May 2023 to watch and enjoy this amazing video, and it was nice to relive this game. My 200 hour playthrough (which is now 300 postgame) took me nearly 10 months to play. Just…so good.

The fictional swears work so well in the fictional accent of most of the VAs. Alexandria’s quest got me over leveled that I didn’t grind at all until I beat the game. Chad Rex made me keel over since I just finished a NG+ of 2 before 3 came out

Never went 100% on the other two but I fiended sidequests so hard in this game before beating the game because I didn't wanna be roo overleveled for anything that I'm basically already done with most non-postgame content, so might as well right?
I am struggling with finding the way to complete nias memories and dorrik Phase 10 tho, but I'll figure it out.
Also, this game has some of the best sidequests ever made, literally, the Zeon upgrade quest with kite and juniper and the spongey spuds is THE BEST sidequest I have played in my LIFE, it's so well set up the writing's on point, kite's character arc is so amazing and earned, kite and zeon have such a great dynamic and I am OBSESSED with the kite zeon juniper trio, I accually cannot stop talking about how much I love them and appreciate them and how much I want them to be together!

I feel like getting all characters to level 99 was kinda a bad idea since the final boss is level 72. Granted it’s one of the longest final bosses in a Xeno game but I enjoyed my two hours of beating the shit out of him with my level 72 party

Thanks for making this video and giving me catharsis and a platform to voice some of my frustrations with this beautiful gem of a game! xD Will keep it brief, but the insane ending to chapter 5 DESTROYED me, the big revelation of Chapter 3 at Colony Ligma (or was it Lambda?) was a real point-of-no-return moment in the story for me, and the final boss battle is exactly what you describe it as: a 13 phase boss fight with unskippable cutscenes xD I ended up clearing it in my third try, after I had leveled my squad from lvl 72 to 74 and equip them with a bit more survivable kit, but there was no doubt I REALLY wished I could skip some of those cutscenes when I tried my second attempt out of sheer stubbornness xD In general, great recap and great animation, always a joy to watch your stuff dude!

It wasn’t until swordmarch that I realized just how massive the titans of XC1 are. Like yeah I know Sword Valley is absolutely massive but I just never really noticed
So it is implied that the founder of House Vandham is either the son of or a decendant of M and N. It is then implied in Nia's post game quest that Mio is her duaghter with Rex. Thus all of house Vandham are decendants of Rex.

All jokes aside, great video, and great game, sank over 120 hours into it before the dlc with the challenges dropped, and just like you said, really like that they explore some darker themes - I mean even the certain character aging up wasn't completely out of nowhere, and has a weird sadness to it, as they just lose out on living those inbetween years (trying my best to be spoiler free)
