Fever ray is a bloody legend of an artist its rare for me to listen right through a single and put it on loop and play it almost everyday that's what fever rays songs do to me
I was there & it blew me away. My mate, Dave, who will take 1 of each drug & get fucked off his face didn't quite know how to take it! I was like.. Dave, not ALL music is there to smash your ears out with distorted guitars! This is about solace & primal introspection.
Dunno if you guys gives a shit but if you are bored like me atm then you can watch all the latest movies on Instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my girlfriend during the lockdown :)
So awesome to see how she started the show in such a similar way for her 2018 tour. Using the instrumental for this song to introduce the band on stage, then using the distorted and chopped vocals from An Itch on the 2018 tour, love her so much
Wow I love the change in tone compared to the studio version. Studio version's more brooding and hopeless whereas this one sounds like somebody's going fucking insane
+Rusty Wilson I agree. The live version is much darker. It spends nearly all of its time in the lower octaves. I actually prefer it over the studio version.
I do playlist for our art gallery/ wine bar and this song can be played after any song that is too difficult to follow... for example, Lisa Gerard singing Sanvean, which is an almost impossible act to follow anytime I am in a corner that i cannot get out of, this song literally rescues me ❤ reminds me of what the character of Jerry Lee Lewis supposedly said to Johnny Cash, who was performing after him in the film Walk the Line... " get yourself a pine box fellas, nobody follows a killer" ( pine box being a coffin) well this song is a killer and can follow up on any killer
Epic gig, my GF at the time couldn't stand the loudness and the spatial'ness that we were getting on the balcony (it was a good thing), so she ended up outside, I stayed :)
+Miroslav Nikolic Definitely sounds like a audio loop in the background, and a synth on top. With vocals I think she must use a vocoder/pitchshifter to get that deep sounding vocal - and there's a few layers of that happening.
I’ve listened to this song everyday for like 5 years
Hopefully the original and not my bad recording 😂
More give me more give me more ❤
I was there! Such a fantastic atmospheric show. What an experience ❤

I am absolutely obsessed with this Fever Ray track. I do an acoustic cover of it and play it often.

Does anybody know which instruments are involved in making of this song? Which instrument gives that deep sound?
organ or a low tuned bass guitar maybe?
