I've been making multi groups the old fashioned way, and have been dying for this feature for years. Kicking myself for not knowing about it sooner, thank you!!!

I've used Avid for many years and never knew about Edit Group. Exactly what I was looking for! Thanks!

I’ve added a few notes for my class:
Starting here: throw all the clips you want to sync into a linear sequence.
    - Then: segment-select all the clips and right click in the timeline to get to Waveform Sync.
    - Result: this will layer the sequence tracks based on Wave Forms.
    - Next: right click the Rec Mon and “Create Group” will make a Group Clip out of this sequence…
Then editing the Group Clip after the fact @ 02:00: select a group clip (in a bin) then right click on it to edit the group in a timeline. Nice! But in order to save it you must clear the record monitor 1st (i.e. “close the sequence” and put it away @ 02:20), rather than what you might be inclined to do, Comd S. So the normal saving protocols don’t work at all here? I guess noticing you are in this group clip edit mode, by seeing the little quad-group-clip-icon in the upper right of the composer record window, rather than a traditional Avid sequence icon, should be the subtitle tip-off. Also, I wasn’t seeing all audio tracks during the edit process? My Groups have 5 tracks and the sequence version up for edit only has two audio tracks showing?

It is great, however, non of the tutorials address how to keep all your synced audio tracks. We have 5, that need to be carried into the time line) Instead when I make the group with all audio tracks highlighted, the Muitcamera group carries only two tracks. this is seen in Hans' terrific video but not mentioned: am I missing something simple?

dupe your map sequence then cut in the group clip leaving the original audio then edit from that?

Is there any way to control the way audio tracks are sorted in the group? Seems I only get two audio tracks when in reality there are four tracks on the sequence I'm grouping. The remaining two are reachable by rightclicking the audiotrack in the group and selecting the other one, but that's not really want I want. Cheers, and thanks for the video.
