I can't say you're wrong, bud 🤷 However, this gun has its application and as for the compactness, I think its design makes for more than enough power even in its 300 mm barrel version... Which is something that'll test soon 😉

As for the Epics, they're a new brand and even though they've proven their quality for the short period of time they've been on the market, they've yet to do so in the long run. Cheers 🙂

Yeah, I agree on those design flaws. Dovetail mounts have zero country in precision guns, and splitting the top rail is at best very silly. I expected better from a high-end air gun.
Shooter size is a tough topic, which is why I find it cool that Epic offers so many package sizes. I'm big with big hands, so what's a musket to you would probably be a reasonably small carbine in my hands 😅
I'm glad we think alike, mate 🙂 Spoiler alert - just today I installed the 300 mm barrel and smaller plenum and air tank size. Video of the compact version of this rifle coming soon.
I'm like you I like a bullpup. Having a short gun like a prophet with a 600mm barrel makes shooting on the move so much easier.

Looks like a good bit of kit.
I am a big fan of the Arca/swiss rail allows for rapid adjustment of bipod position and quick removal for shooting with a front bag. This could be a big hitter in the PRS/NRL22 matches.
All in all it did a great job on the sky rats

How does it shoot 25.4 MRD pellets seeing the barrel is not choked? I’m not a slug shooter.

Good vidéo but... In which direction do you increase the hammer tension and in which direction do you lower it ? (I have the same one as you in .25) Thank for your return.
Thanks, buddy, and I said it in the video: when you shoulder the gun, looking in the direction where you take aim at your target, clockwise you increase, counterclockwise you decrease the power level.

@@dionisiosgorgias7110 thank you so much, friend 🤝 The shot count depends on the power setting, reg pressure and fill pressure. A number of variables. That's why usually I try to avoid stating shot count when it comes to those highly adjustable new PCPs

I will probably get one next month, one thing though, as a bench shooter i wish the fill was not in the very front of the rifle as i shoot tethered, it should have been made as part of the regulator section.
But at least the fill point down.
I would switch safety and cocking lever over to left hand if it do not collide with folding stock.

My first regular style rifle since 2012.
I do think it would be fairly easy to make a fill port to insert in front of the regulator, but of course that would make the air cylinder 4-5 Cm longer.
I hope it will come for the after market.
I am however looking to get the LW barrel, i hope it will be good with slugs or at least the 13 gr / 4.5 mm i mostly shoot, but would like to also shoot 16 and 20 gr if possible, but i am not sure the rifling twist rate are fast enough for this, it for sure do not work in my Maverick with 700 mm Heavy barrel.
@@pliashmuldba well, Epic say the LW barrel is meant for shooting heavier slugs... I will get one of those myself, but it's gonna be in .22 and the short length they offer - 300 mm to reduce the overall size of the gun. Not sure if it will be enough for shooting slugs, that's sth I have yet to test. Bullpups I like more myself, and as soon as they release theirs, I'll try it.

As a Dane with no hunting permit, i am locked to .177/4.5 mm which you can get if you are 18 YO
Right now i have a Vulcan 3 as my compact rifle, the Maverick not so compact after it grew to MAX barrel length.
I an thinking of selling the Vulcan 3 though, also my old .22 FX Cyclone which i got before they changed the law in 2013, in 2012 i could have gotten a .30 caliber or even larger if i wanted to.
Mind you only selling those to get another one of course 😁

Awesome video!! However, I couldn’t disagree more about the arca Swiss!! I absolutely love it!! Constantly sliding my bipod back and fourth for different shooting position. It’s perfect for the tripod, and it’s a perfectly flat level spot for shooting off structures or out the truck window. Just my 2cents

Great review. Question regarding suppressor , i have a Uragan2 30 cal. Would you recommend the Hush or the Edgun suppressor?
Thanks, my friend, and let me tell you either will get the job done. Perhaps try the new larger volume RTI suppressor, especially if you want to shoot at high power levels.

Your evaluation of that weapon was excellent! But, at the end of the video when you were shooting at the circular target, why were the shots so loud? To answer your question: it's an indoor airgun shooting range, and because it's an airgun range only, there is no padding on the walls. So it's basically a concrete wall hallway which amplifies the sound significantly. Plus the impact of the projectile on the concrete wall makes a heck of a noise 🤷 And same as always, thank you so much, friend ☺️

yikes. I think I know why you have that annoying music so loud. That ping lol. You are typically a pretty good shot, and most of these shots are actually pretty horrible. I can tell you don't like this gun. Looks like they copied everything but the quality from American Air Arms (and that ed gun reg).
Spot on about the reg, I'm glad you got my hint 😉 Not sure if the reg design is the same, but the adjustment dial leaves little doubt.

Bad shots... Yes, on the first couple of shots at 110 yds I didn't read the wind well and I thought the 25 grain slugs will be be able to buck the wind at that distance, but I was wrong... I hope you agree I kinda vindicated myself with the magpie at the end 😉
