Great video as always. Those birds are getting spooked by the sound of the shot from the looks of it. The sound will reach them just shortly before the pellet
Crossed my mind, although the distance was not that great... There are also some birds of prey and gulls in the area, Josh.
the speed of sound in air is about 331 m/s (1,086 ft/s; 1,192 km/h; 740 mph; 643 kn). If the bird was at 50 yds or 150 ft/1086 ft/s it took .138 seconds for the sound to reach the bird. It took the pellet 150/884 or .169 seconds so the bird had .031 seconds to react! Theory says, but practically I would bet on something else.

Depending on the use, if you want high accuracy, long range and mostly used for target/ competion the longer barrels are much better option, but if pest control and alot of movement/ shorter range, the compact version is a better choice.

That's a well designed and thought out air rifle, the "everything" shot is a clear winner.
Not to treat it like an 80's action movie "most creative kills" competition but my favorite was the "Titanic" shot, when they fall from one thing onto another and onto another, etc, THEN the ground, at 10:13
Unimpressive comment indeed, uncalled for and in bad taste, probably written by someone who either struggles to keep things in check and/or might not be mature enough for sensitive material (I hope they figure things out).
Most of us remember how Matt Dubber somehow got in trouble a few years ago thanks to someone completely unaffiliated being unethical with an air gun.
The MSM over there actually googled something and found his channel, and you know how that circus goes..
Of course there was no digital or physical proof that Matt and the perpetrator were affiliated in any way, but he was facing a life changing event and could have lost it all.
Good thing you stay anonymous and keeping it sensible.
Not saying Matt isn't keeping it sensible, but being a public figure for a controversial lifestyle/hobby still carries significant risk.

The switch between the two barrels is easy, but the small air cylinder doesn't affect the range and the number of pellets? Nice shots, nice review by the way.

Just curious why you didn't keep the larger plenum on the gun . It's only what a 2 in length difference.
You don't want the added power?
Because the larger plenum is about the same volume of the smaller air tank 😉 That would greatly reduce the shot count. But it is possible to do, if you so choose. In such fashion the air tube may stick out longer than the barrel and shroud.

Why not leave the larger plenum on and allow for a night shot count. Yes the air tube and plenum would be longer then the Barrel but for efficiency it would make sense and also more weight up front for more balance to offset the heavier rear. Specially with a mod in the end
Ah, I was expecting a comment such as yours, and I'm even surprised you're the only one asking this question 🙂 If I leave the old plenum not only will it stick out (like you said), but it'd also be approximately the volume of the air tank itself 😉 It would make sense to leave the old plenum only if I leave the old air tank too. And in this case add a suppressor which is thin enough to cover the remaining length. Then it would be a very interesting setup 🙂

I wasn’t sure if the volume of the the air tank and plenum but I don’t think have similar volume capabilities would hurt but make it’s not as efficient as possible. If you do leave one the larger air tube and plenum even for testing you should post it. I’m interested in the shot count and over all efficiency.
I wonder what is causing the pellet nutation?! Hopefully you can figure it out and get it taken care of. Cheers!

Little Two sexy
I have a little problems with my new two, but me and epic is going to get that sorted out.

My barrel ( LW ) have a tight spot / choke in the middle of it.
First 120 mm or so i have to put a few 100 grams of force to push a 13 gr slug thru the barrel, but in the tight spot from 120 to 400 mm i have to use around 3 KG of pressure to keep the slug going, and then after that i am down to few 100 grams of pressure to push slug the rest of the way out the barrel.
Also my regulator are not working good at lower pressures but +110 BAR and my shot strings are flat as a pancake.
Shooting 4.5 mm caliber / 700 mm barrel.
Yes Epic very forthcoming and helpful, i think i will have to send the barrel back to them, they have also talked about other REG and Valve, and at first i was not sure that was a problem, but after my experiments yesterday i can see with low REG pressure ( under 100 BAR ) i have a very hard time getting a flat shot string, the best i have managed for a 10 shot string is 7 - 10 FPS difference in slowest and fastest shot.
and even so you have erratic shots / speed now and then, if i get 3 same speed in 10 shots its good, the high pressure string i shot i think over 25 / half of the shots was 1081 FPS, 6 of those in the first 10 shots where 5 of them was in a row.
Crank up the regulator and i have a spread of 4 - 5 FPS and t hats over a 50 or so shot string, never seen such a flat string on my other rifles.
But that much pressure at least for the 13 gr slugs i had with me yesterday, well speeds around 1080 FPS which is too much for any slug i know off.
Though 12.5 gr NSA slugs did sort of work, but POI changing due to the high speed.
Someone just asked me if a larger jet in the " low " pressure might help.
I am not sure though.
My regulator, are also very tight, the ring for sure no good, i now use a screwdriver thru the hole in the REG tool to have enough leverage.
Especially going up over 100 BAR the Regulator os very tight turn VS mt FX and other rifles that compared are like butter on a sunny day.

Your barrel most certainly has to be replaced, no other way around it.
@@AirRifleActivities I have tried to shoot heavier things at my previous outing, but also here the accuracy was not as one would expect, but as i recall then the shot strings was fine, so i am also inclined to think the barrel do something unfortunate.
I put a wooden knob from a drawer on my REG tool, and soon found out that it was not enough grip in it, so i am back to square 1 again, but i do want to devise something more permanent than my Phillips head screwdriver.
I assume maybe Huma will come up with a better REG tool, or maybe epic them self.
Seem like i will have to shoot my Maverick for a little while, and that's also fine it is shooting pretty well, no problem hitting a 2" target at 86 Meters, and i am quite open to shoot longer than that when our shot shed is finished and up to 130 M will be possible.
Though then at least with 13 grain slugs i will probably need a target a little bigger than 2"

HI Alex ..I notice that 300 mm is not enought to put piegon down. When you hit them you can see on video that piegon that it is not clean kill. ALL others guns like p3 and K1..etc hits much harder and this gun with 300 mm barel is lack of
Well, Marcin, I think it is enough. There will be more videos and I think I'll be able to convince you of that. The lower power level (which is still not low as airguns go) has its perks - it's safer and can be used in more environments.

You are confusing break barrel and pcp. The pcp air rifles don’t have that issue, the others do have that forward motion that is deadly on many regular scopes.
@bnight.7996 responded in my stead and he's right - the problem is with break-barrels a.k.a. spring airguns, Winston. They can be worse than powerful powder burners on a scope - there's recoil in both directions with them. But I shoot PCP airguns only, and there's no such problem with recoil there at all.

It's adjustable, mate, depends on the hammer spring and the reg setting. Plus the barrel length too.

I haven't counted, it depends on the reg settings, fill pressure and hammer spring setting.

Well, the 550 mm will always be the more accurate barrel, no way around it, for obvious reasons, most of all the projectile is exposed for a longer period of time to the barrel twist and pressure behind it. Hence the higher power level too. But I prefer the compactness nonetheless.
