Thank you for all the time and effort you have put into your channel. I always wanted to start my home cinema journey with the BenQ W2700. Still trying to save up on the current economy. But with more and more model releases, BenQ models have become plentiful and confusing… almost every other release seems to be marketed over the past 2-3 years as “gaming” projectors. Would you be able to make a breakdown of the current BenQ range please?
If it's more home cinema you are after, I'd look no further than the HT4550i - its probably the best Benq you can get right now on the budget end (vs the higher end ones they have over $10K) but the gaming ones still hold up well. I am going to be reviewing the x3100i early next year!

You seem like a smart guy, I am not to smart about this stuff. So here's my question. I have an older panasonic home system, it a SA-HT15 5.1 surround system with a active 340 amp subwoofer PANASONIC SB WA15. I've got it all wired in and i don't want to redo it, and I have a error on my panasonic receiver that when power up say very quickly says F76, before it turns off. MY sub connects to the panasonic receiver with a 25 pin connector. The eror code seems to be a power failure of some sort. What I'd like to know is can I hook up another panasonic receiver OR SUBWOOFER with a 25 pin connector? Will it work as long as the amps are close from the new active panasonic subwoofer ? Looking for a cheap fix
Not sure I know the definitive answer, but I used to have that exact one back in 2007 - pretty cool for what it is. I would try to find one from somewhere if you can and just replace the reciever. No guarantees it will work but if you're determined to keep it i'd say thats your only option - or replacing it with a new system.

Oh yeah it's one of those things, getting subscribers is quite difficult on UA-cam, and I've always had a steady rate of subscribers, around 10K per year which isn't a lot, especially for the amount of money I spend on gear, studio and the hobby to make the videos, but I'm hoping that the initial effort may translate to being able to do this on a more permenant basis in the future :) Thanks again for watching!

I likely won't be. I may be doing one on the Z9X Pro - but honestly its much the same as the Z9X - all of the Zidoo products pretty much perform the same.

@@BuildMontage I think the cinema gear could work quite well with your channel. As a channel about cinema, I believe your subscribers will enjoy some cinematic b-roll... especially whent you travel to shows etc.

As one of those viewers who had made comments asking for comparisons between X and Y I do apologise as I now understanding why it is difficult for you to answer those comments when the videos weren't intended as comparisons. In saying that though I have to say your videos and your Discord group played a HUGE roll in my Xmas present to myself of upgrading parts of my circa-2008 home theatre to a Formovie Theater with a EliteScreens Aeon CLR3 screen (the screen is still pending dispatch so yet to reap the rewards) with Valencia Tuscany Luxury chairs (sorry I didn't get them through you but CostCo had a Black Friday sale which was too good to say no too!) so a massive thank you for all your hard work 😁! Totally fine to ask - I'm used to it now, I just can't answer 99% of the time as it's a rabbit hole for me and I'm super time poor - but Discord is a great resource. Sounds like your setup will be pretty awesome - hope you enjoy it!

Complains about the cost of running a channel then proceeds to do an unboxing of lenses that cost over 5 grand.
I know... but like many hobbies, "rational thinking" goes out the door when it comes to getting the toys you really want. Sadly, the lenses won't improve the quality much: the camera sensor and recording codec are what matters the most when recording. Then it gets destroyed by UA-cam encoding. Still: Tony is passionate, honest, always positive and entertaining. I hope he has fun with his new toys !
Haha! I know it sounds like that but I'm not complaining at all... just opening up a little about the goings on behind running a UA-cam channel. I try to do it without compromising myself (by doing paid reviews or sponsorships) which I get offered all the time - so I fund things through personal income. The lenses were a long time coming. I've been saving up for them because the goal is to improve my footage quality and learn some new skills.
Ironically, the "hobby" is home theater, and the "business" is UA-cam, but the lenses will help me a lot with what I'm trying to achieve. I have the Lumix S5iix, so needed full frame lenses and I wanted something that would push me to work a little harder (manual controls) and also give me better, less grainy footage in the low light scenarios I sometimes find myself in. Definitely the UA-cam squish is real, but I want to improve the look a little and I'm hoping these lenses help :) @jocelyndeguise

Your production value and look and feel is already superior to your United States colleagues creators. I am talking about the biggest names. You are the Baz Luhrmann of Home Theater. Don't you think it's the Australia and New Zealand marketplace. What are you about to shoot The Creator Part II. Love the lenses.
You just need to focus on the US sellers and expand the world wide known brands like B&W or Anthem AVM90. Or Sony laser projectors. My point is your reach and demographic should be United States and Canada. And you need to review products from dealers to survive.
Coming out of stimulus and Covid a lot of Home Theater creators have hit a ceiling or wall right. Look at Techno Dad "starting over". I think people moved too fast and too much into a price range the typical sound bar consumer can't follow. I would love to know what you do in IT. I think we would love to see media on your content production PC build and the work itself. I am into software and love PC(s) with GPUs. I would have loved if you did some work on open source build you own home theater PC meant to improve Ultra Throws and front projection.
Interestingly enough, I started my channel thinking it would be about "building gaming PCs" hence the name of my channel - but it morphed into my other hobby instead.
