This made me wistful for the days when my panther, Inky, was just a baby. He's 14 now. Black cats are the absolute sweetest and most lovable creatures. Inky's my everything!
Inky, great name for a black cat. We are animal people. We have 3 dogs and 2 cats. All live inside with us. Glad we have the space and land for them. We have an Orange tabby named Wally, And a Scottish Fold named Twinkles. Because she is "dainty".
I had one too. His name was Shadow. He was 16 when he crossed the Rainbow Bridge in my arms on the way to the ER. I had been giving him insulin twice a day for 7 years and I knew inside the horrible day was approaching, but I am so grateful he did not die while I was at work. A month after he passed and joined my little Tuxedo Tiny I was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic colon cancer. While I am doing pretty good I know I have them waiting for me
I recently adopted two black kittens and one has found her voice and her miaows melt my heart she reminds me of Simba trying to roar like Mufasa and failing 🤣🤣
Those of us who have raised black kittens to their adulthood know the experience. We know the joy of raising miniature panthers no matter what size they became. A cat is cat is a cat. One of God's most beautiful creatures. How wonderful!
Understand completely, as I've said in an earlier post our wee cat GIZMO was just a wee ball of fur when we got him, pure black he grew into a fantastic wee animal just done his own thing, slept next to us for years the day he passed away I can honestly say that has been the sadest day of my life, we both miss him so much only someone who has gone through that loss will Understand..but every time I think of him...which is often....I have a massive smile on my face......
Call me sour, I went through this, adopting a baby kitten, (I found her under my bench on the front porch, hissing at everything) raising her, watching her grow, loving her with each passing day. She was a mama three times, until one day she got sick. I spent considerable amount of money taking her to vets. The devastating blow is when one vet told me after all kinds of tests he done, she had cancer. After 13 (human years) I had to put my little "Kitty" to sleep. Yes, a grown man was balling, it was a very hard thing to do. I don't think I can do this again, I can't get attached to another little animal and go through the loss again. All I have is pictures of my "Kitty".
I am sooooo very sorry for your loss. Some people have to go out and adopt, notice I said adopt, right away, like me, and some can not do it again, like my mom. You take your time and if another is meant to be for you God will show you in his time. Again so very sorry for your loss.
I totally understand! You’re not a sour person, just wounded I think. I had a black kitten my husband got me, at what was then called the pound, as a surprise. He had short hair that grew as he did until he had long silky hair. He was very smart. He loved to get on my stomach, put his face toward mine, and turn on his purr motor. I loved it as much as he did. When he was 17, I had his teeth cleaned at the suggestion of our vet at the time who said it was for the health of his liver. He came through the surgery but never fully recovered and died several days later at the emergency vet in an isolette on a weekend. I was totally devastated. I cried and cried and was broken hearted. Also, I felt guilty I had trusted the vet and forever will regret listening to her advice. That was in the late 90s. I’m a huge cat lover and I’d absolutely love to have another since I’m retired. I could baby it even more now with more time. But, I’m afraid to hurt that much again. It scares me. Have thought of fostering. I’m conflicted, so I just don’t know. Again, I do understand you! ❤️
Sometimes having multiple cats helps, that way when one does pass you still have the others there for you and while it doesn't replace the cat it does help. My cats are older and I'm so worried it's almost good to have a young one in the mix
The wife and I adopted a cute little panther princess 15 years ago, just a few weeks before Halloween. She's a special baby and has the sweetest disposition to this day!
The wife?? W...? Does your neighbor know you're doing shenanigans with HIS wife?? Does the wife get passed around between you both? Or does she have more clients?
I was blessed with having a stray black cat come into my life just as I fully retired. I call him Spook. He has one of the most hilarious and joyful personalities. I live a a street that doesn't have much traffic. He follows me on walks, brings me gifts of mice, chipmunks and birds. I took him to the vet for a check up and care. We agreed that neutering him right now would be a shame since he stays around the area, holds a vigil at night, when its warm, against intruders, lol. He is a blessing.
Ever since I was born my mother give me a kitty that she rescue from the streets and I have to keep the same tradition I'm in my late 60s now if I have lost count but my house doors there always will be open🚪🐈🐱😿⤴️👈 but I do believe that fix them is there too many already and unfortunately not many are willing to adopt them!!!😔👎🏿 also all my dogs have been from the streets 🦮🐕🦺⤴️🥰 thank you Jesus for✝️⤴️↩ letting me have a home to share with them📢‼🙏😻🐕
We had a black half-persian who was put in our care by his mother. We took it as a high compliment. She was staying with the folks across the street and brought him over to our front yard and wouldn't let him go back. She gave him on-the-job-training in the yard: climbing trees, catching bugs, etc. That was back when it was still politically acceptable to keep a functional male cat and let him out at night. He was with us for over ten years and eventually almost every stray cat in the neighborhood looked like him. Finally went MIA. RIP Plato.
Very sweet. My black kitty also tags along when I walk my dog. She loves being outside when it rains, and her favorite spot to plop down and curl up on is a warm shoulder 😆
I had a panther too! She was found alone in a car park attempting to hide herself behind someone's wheel. I adopted her when she was a wee thing and she lived to 16 y/o. When I took her to the clinic for her first meet, I discovered she was a Bombay. Likely purebred. An absolutely fantastic looking mini- panther. She was stunning and aloof. Everything was on her terms, and sometimes she would be cat shacked up in my wardrobe for days on end, just having her way with my winter things. Then she'd reappear on her favorite chair, staring down her cat brother and sister dog and looking upon all of us with contempt and a measured defiance. Then, at some unexpected moment, on hiatus from her usual tradecraft, she'd arrive on my belly or in the crook of my arm, and want cuddles. She didn't solicit much and she was rarely concillatory if you disrupted her MO. I suspect we shared many qualities, and I feel like in every way that matters, we were equals. Her name was Garbo ❤
Yes, but when people get too close to their pet and treating it like it is a human baby and other strange things is eerie! I loved my pets, I played with my pets and yes many pet dogs and cats are better than some people, but my God I would never go beyond the line that my dog is still an animal and not a person!
Such a tiny kitten. What a beautiful video. Before Christmas 2020 I found 2 older black kittens who had been dumped. They were starving and frightened. It took a few weeks before they trusted me enough to pick them up. I was going to give them away As I already have 5 adult cats (3 of them rescues), but then one night they both came in and slept on my pillow ... So now I have 7 cats. 💜💓🧡💕💙
Awe thank you for helping them. You can never have to many cats i think . I have 8. I just adopted my last cat this january. It was an accideent. I hit her with my car and she ran off. I was able to find her the next day and started feeding her winning her trust till i was able to hold her and bring her home. Now she doesnt have to worry about psychos like me hitting her.
@@stepbro4028 I feel like the typical black cat you see in tv and film are of the same breed. What breed is the one in this video? I'm new to kittens :)
I love the "murder claws" that little kittens have! The claws are bigger than they are! This little guy was soooo small. It's a miracle her(or she) survived! Great job hoomans!
It funny to see babies kittens when after getting neutered with the cones on bigger then their're felt sorry for Blakely needed to wear it for a week and hard for him to eat I should have took it off when he was eating and after put the cone back on 😺😺😺😺
Aww that reminds me of when I found a newborn in my old pigeon loft. Her mom was feral and she lost all of her kittens due to environment. She was trap savvy and it took me a years before I finally trapped her and got her spayed. She has a house on my deck now and I’ve cared for her for years. She still won’t let me pet her but she likes to watch me do yard work and bring me presents. I still have her daughter who is now 5 and is a content house kitty. She was such a cute baby!!! That baby is precious too!
I got my first black cat when my neighbor thew her out.I named her shadow she followed me all over.I now have three black a black and white and a white with brown spots also have a black dog with white feet they all get along.my dog protects. The cats like they're her babies.
I have a House Panther that walked into my life about 8 years ago. She approached me on my deck while I was doing spring cleaning. Obviously not feral, she allowed me to love on her right away. She would continue to return to a place of recognition after being fed. This happened for about 6 months before I brought her in and she was able to settle in. She was obviously spayed as she is still outside for hours every day and has never gotten pregnant, The fact that someone loved her and threw her away is heartbreaking as she attempted to return to them for months before deciding to adopt me. She has been very health and well-loved ever since. She is getting older now and it shows in her energy level and coat condition. She is Delilah and is the best thing to ever walk into my life.
I am also in the panther gang, 6 kittens were left in a box on my nanny's doorstep, I was about 5, and they all got good homes, our panther lived 16 wonderful years Sooty is her name, My Nanny's panther is called Sweep, she got hit by a train and lived easily through that moved house twice and lived to about 13. beautiful memories, Thankyou wonderful felines :)
My black cat, Chi, was abandoned when he was a kitten... but now he's a panther who brings me joy. This precious kitten should have been my high school's mascot - so strong and mighty!
How adorable this spry little chubster is!! I had an all black rescue Runt, Mr Jones, for last 19+ yrs, whom passed last winter. This is definitely a heartwarming trip down memory lane. Thanx 4 sharing!
I also have a completely black cat (even one of his eyes is almost all black, pseudopolycoria) and he was also found as a kitten, in my garden while he was trying to take some leftover food from the compost. At that time I already had 1 dog and 1 other cat, nowadays he's the only remaining one I'm so glad to still have him 💕
We, too, rescued a black kitten from a store parking lot a year ago. Truly looks like a panther now. These all-black cats are Bombay cats. Look up the name - you’ll see dozens black cats whose whiskers, nose and foot pads are solid black.
When that precious little baby was taking its first steps, I found myself saying out loud "YOU CAN DO IT, I BELIEVE IN YOU!"! SO HAPPY IT WAS RESCUED!!! 😺😺😺😺😻😻
I rescued my two brother cats at around 4 weeks of age. I had to bottle feed them and also stimulate them to pee and poo 😩 it was hard work, but Soooooo worth it. They were always stinky from milk neck and kitten poop on their fur so I bathed them often. They are now 2 yrs old, never leave my side, and love baths! Everytime somebody takes a bath or shower, they jump right in. I love my boys!

Now, after 11 years, he is my big, cuddly panther that MUST have blankets to curl up in. Black cats are awesome! Hope this little one has a long, happy life.
I have two black cats, a grey tabby, a calico and a grey and white tabby (she’s the oldest and the OG) one of the black cats is super smart and just the cuddliest house panther, he gets on to the arm of my chair and taps me on the face or top of my head repeatedly until I give in and cuddle him, he also gives the paw 🐾 for treats.
I remember when my black baby girl Buffy (named by my brother because he was simply obsessed with the show) would always jump down from my mums lap and greet me whenever I came home from work when she heard the back door open. She may have been given to my mum but she was always my cat. Miss her every day.

At about 2:30 he is the same age as my best friend was when I brought him home! Now he's a big beautiful healthy boy. He still sleeps belly up, cradled in my arm at night. Cats are so special.
I rescued a 4 week old kitten in July 2021, literally, trying to cross a highway in a panic. He was hopping more like a baby bunny rabbit. He's jet black just like the kitten in your video. He's coming along great and is adorable. Gets along great with my 60lb Shepard Mix like they where born together. He'll box the dogs nose open pawed, it's hilarious. Glad I stopped and helped.

May you have many more happy years with her.
No matter how bad of a day, a cute kitten always brings a smile to my face❤

@@kathyr.8135 yeah that lil nigga is gonna maul your ass to death and eat you alive while being a few weeks old

@@kathyr.8135 Cats are apex predators. They're also highly intelligent and, if treated correctly, wonderful feline friends.
Agreed,
Nothing cuter than a kitten. My favorites are cheetah cubs, with their mohawks..
I’m really sorry for your loss!
Sometimes having multiple cats helps, that way when one does pass you still have the others there for you and while it doesn't replace the cat it does help. My cats are older and I'm so worried it's almost good to have a young one in the mix
I had dogs and cats all my life. I remember each of our goodbyes.
And when I remember after all these years have a meltdown.
Agree with you 1000%
The wife and I adopted a cute little panther princess 15 years ago, just a few weeks before Halloween. She's a special baby and has the sweetest disposition to this day!
look at that tiny cutie pie squeak noises indicating it's love for you sweet heart😍😍
The wife??
Ever since I was born my mother give me a kitty that she rescue from the streets and I have to keep the same tradition I'm in my late 60s now if I have lost count but my house doors there always will be open🚪🐈🐱😿⤴️👈 but I do believe that fix them is there too many already and unfortunately not many are willing to adopt them!!!😔👎🏿 also all my dogs have been from the streets 🦮🐕🦺⤴️🥰 thank you Jesus for✝️⤴️↩ letting me have a home to share with them📢‼🙏😻🐕
@@ladyalvarez6745 I’ve had more then a few street cats walk into my life. Most stayed with me for the rest of their lives
Thats just the size how I rescued my gray cat,he came over me crying ..he has transform oír luces, specially to my husband, they have special love
What a ferocious little one, such a beautiful black coat and tremendous roar! Love him!
Pocket Panther!
Perfect ame for her
Bless you for giving that little kitten a good life filled with safety and love.

Yes, but when people get too close to their pet and treating it like it is a human baby and other strange things is eerie! Such a tiny kitten. What a beautiful video. Before Christmas 2020 I found 2 older black kittens who had been dumped. They were starving and frightened.

I don't think I could sleep at night after hearing that ferocious roar, and then the scene with the panther going for the throat!!! Terrifying!!!
I remember when my black baby girl Buffy (named by my brother because he was simply obsessed with the show) would always jump down from my mums lap and greet me whenever I came home from work when she heard the back door open. She may have been given to my mum but she was always my cat. Miss her every day.
