@@satyanmudiraj2356 what's proplem with Tata. Now Tata motors have changed a lot but still we Indians have not changed. First if you are an Indian try to accept Indian products. Also they work hard to give best products at an affordable price.
I own a new Nexon 2020 xz+ petrol. I think the performance is on par with ecosport 1.5 petrol engine. I don't find much difference between xuv300 and Nexon petrol engine though. When you compare Nexon with ecosport I don't understand why people just say negatives of Nexon. Why not tell that ecosport has less space the clutch is not as light as Nexon. Also the suspension setup on Nexon is much suited for Indian roads I have got my first service done and I didn't face any issues with the service. Tata has improved a lot. One place where Tata could improve is their gearbox. The gear switch can still be much smoother. I think venue has the best manual gearbox as well in this price range of small suv's . Believe me these touch screen and other small things won't matter much while driving not as much as safety. Why don't you guys speak about the build quality. There is one big con which you need to get used to there is a huge blondspot as the a pillars are very broad and requires you to move around while turning in Nexon Would say if you need a better steering response go for ecosport. Better features go for xuv300 top end. Venue is good but lacks the space which others offer. Nexon is a value for money car and worth every penny you spend on it. There is no perfect car, not even the Hyundai's or the Kia's which some of them think are perfect
Absolutely spot on....nobody talks about nexon's best in class ground clearance, rear seat leg room & the Harman sound system.People just get influenced in buying a car by features it offers most of which they will never use.The primary reason in buying a car must b driving comfort, seating & safety!

The Ford dragon engines are hoot to drive. It revs higher being an atmospheric unit, is one of the best NVH managed 3cylinder unit, power delivery is smooth & it is more sprightly. Nexon deserves a proper direct injection turbo engine not the MPFi turbo engine of yore.
Mainly because everything is awesome in the Nexon except the engine. After some time it becomes noisy. Maruti sucks in almost every department when compared to Tata, but still sells more because of better engine, mileage.

Many factors. The 4cyl engine from the Zest must be outdated (not legal with BS6 norms). Then there is price and development costs, (developing a new engine costs easily 300mn$ to 500mn$). Finally, I am guessing that a 3 cyl is more compact and makes sufficient power after turbocharging.
All the changes are very welcome, but didn't like the idea of complete removal of analog tachometer. I miss the red needles when it revs upto the red line.
The petrol engines worldwide should start giving more mileage now, just like Nissan cars with SkyActiv technology do. If the carmakers want the world to forget diesel in cars, they have to work on efficiency much more. Maybe compulsory mild hybridization is the answer if they cannot get better thermal efficiency from the petrol engines.
smaller CC and more power will never give good mileage. The right combo is higher CC and average Horsepower. For eg: any engine, petrol or diesel of cubic capacity 1.6L should have horsepower of 80 in hatch and 100 in Sedan and SUV. This would give the right pick up and fuel economy as well. And Petrol engines will have FE only if they have turbo and not NA. Normal engines will never give more FE. The problem today is they have reduced the CC and that makes us give more throttle.
I drive a Tata Nexon Petrol version 2018 Model. One may like the car in the shorter period of time, but it's in the long term which hampers the experience most. After sales services are below average for Tata. The car keeps on asking for service only after 7500Km while other cars move atleast 10,000km before next service. The quality of parts used in the car aren't so great as well for eg. My brake pads got finished on 22000Km only. The side mirrors and the A pillars create a pretty good Blind spot. Last but not least the battery in the car broke only after 1.5 years. The dealership from which I had purchased told me that the battery's 6 months warranty already had lapsed when I had purchased. So such things create trust issues with the brand. The next time I buy a car.. I might not prefer Tata unless they up their game in all areas.
