So glad I changed my order to the neck through. Made it to the east coast right before christmas unharmed. I feel like you got my original order :)
A neck through would have still broken, bud. It just wouldn’t have been able to be fixed. If you break a neck through, that’s it. Luckily this one wasn’t so it could be saved.

@@TobyDavvy turned out the truss was way to tight I got it straight and the fret board sits flush but I haven’t been able to bring to my repairman yet

What upgrades to you pick when buying it? Looking at buying one myself and I’m not sure which ones are worth it outside of the USA are-wire and upgraded pickups.
Everything else but the brass nut is esthetic. So go for the brass nut.
Why not just send it back to phred?

1.) Could you not return it from being delivered damaged?
2.) I have been eyeing this or a Liger, but... i have a fused knuckle in my hand and its hard to play thicker necks.. this is a 12".. my Aria Les Paul is pretty thick. I actually prefer Squier necks because they are skinny...
How are your fingers?
1.) I could have, but since it was sponsored to me, it would have been quite a while to get another one. Also, he had this wolph sitting in his office, so it was easy for him to spare for me.
2.) I have huge hands. I’m 6’5” so, the thick neck actually helps quite a bit.

The d and g strings come off the neck at a harsh angle. I go out of tune just looking at it...
Believe it or not, she stays in tune really well.

First thing I did when UPS paid out for the repair was buy a very sturdy hard shell case

Learned about phred couple yrs ago really like them always thought tiger or liger is to predictable like if you have it you can only play dead songs wolf looks more normal guitar more versatile your playing seems to of improved all ready

I think I'm the only person who wants a s g and not play metal or rock on it. When I was a kid that was the first one I remember him with . I don't think he played them to long either

The guitar was repaired and plays perfectly. Fed ex paid for the entire repair.
I’d sue ups or set the local office on fire if they fucked one of my guitars like that.

Explain to me how that is UPS’ fault? As far as I can see there’s absolutely zero damage to the outside of the box so unless someone from UPS open up the box and the other box and decided to sabotage the guitar…….or probably not.
There WAS damage on the box and from what I could tell with damage in the guitar, it was either dropped really hard or had something dropped on it. From some of the marks it looks like something heavy hit it. Phred wouldn’t have sent me a guitar broken. Because ya know, it was a sponsorship. He wanted me to make videos about it and with it.
At least you can say the guitar was partly made in the USA! Ha ha

Nah, the truth is, for the price point these guitars are amazing. The tonal possibilities and hardware outshine any other $700.00 guitar. Hands down. No other guitar in this range has an OBEL and preamp.

Dude. I have. Recently built my own neck thru as well. Still stand by what I say in this video. There is nothing comparable for the price point. This is for the heads that can’t drop 5k-15k on an instrument. Put your nose down bro.
Hey Davey, just curious---I see now you got this sponsored from Fred, but would insurance cover it? Does insurance cover it? Whose insurance? what sort of arrangements do you suggest when purchasing a guitar via snail mail? I suppose it depends on each scenario.
