Good on them for not cheaping out and lip-synching behind our backs. Great band, shame to see them go.
I mean I love Aerosmith, but lets not pretend this isn't something that should have happened 20 years ago maybe even after Nine Lives when the music get lazy and all sounded the same.
Don’t count on it. They will be back to try to cash in one last time. Just a matter of time
I'm going to get beat the hell for this friend but I completely agree with you... The Aerosmith that came back in the 90s was an absolute shadow of the former selves and I could not believe they had to lower themselves to write songs with Desmond child because they were completely out of ideas... So I found Aerosmith sad since the early 90s@@lutherheggs451
@@lutherheggs451 Wow, I was about to say the exact same thing, right down to the 20 years ago part.
@@flyingburritobro68I was thinking the same thing. They’ll find a way
50 years+ wow.
Congratulations.
Happy retirement.
Dude is 77yrs old! One hell of a group. Go out on top!
76
If they went out on top it would have been no later than 1977! They ceased being Aerosmith at that point
@@flyingburritobro68 You're thinking of Kiss?

Its a sad day when legends have to call it a day. In saying that, you can't go on for ever, and they have given all of us decades of entertainment. Thank you Aerosmith.
They've been doing this for 54 years I think he and the band deserves the retirement. We love you Steven Tyler and Aerosmith
Met them in87 great guys
I am so sad, fans since 1988.
There are records, cassettes,UA-cam,radio,I heart radio, cell phones T.V. ect,We can always listen to you,don worry!😊I have been listening to Aerosmith for over 40 yrs!
Its official, I'm an old man
First EVH.died now Aerosmith is retiring. I remember driving around in my car when I heard Walk This Way the first time in the early 70's. Been with em ever since. Guys, thanks for being part of the soundtrack of my life. Dream On!
You said it, man. I feel simultaneously like I’m back in 11th grade for a moment, learning A’smith songs on guitar, and like I’m just about at the end of the road myself. Best wishes.
I feel your pain.
"Old" is a huge milestone my friend.
That was a.lomg time ago Gramps, get going cause your next.
And Ozzy is going back on tour but ok
One of the best vocalists of all time. I’d argue Tyler is underrated.
Respect to them for calling it a day and not phoning it in.
Any band that’s around 50 years deserves respect
Im pretty sure it says that in the Bible somewhere .
@@danielhall-wl4ql If I remember correctly, it's in The Gospel of Biff.
Even more so, they've kept the same lineup almost their entire career
Got that right!!
Thats well deserved
It's unfortunate to hear about Steven Tyler having voice problems, as of so many other rock stars that I grew up listening to. We are grateful for all the great songs they put out. Their music rocks on forever! Thanks for the update.
Much love ❤❤❤
Major respect on them for not trying to replace Steven. It's heartbreaking but very classy on the band members parts.
cant replace steven
@@deadshot4245definitely not
They wouldn't even try

Well, they had no issue replacing Joey Kramer.
I’ve seen them twice, once in 75 and in the 90’s. I had tickets for January 19th at the AllState Arena in Chicago. Thank you Aerosmith for all the joy you have given me. Respect
THANK YOU AEROSMITH for being part of the sound track of my life!
Graduated HS in ‘76. I remember we bought Toys in the Attic and a bunch of friends sitting around in my family room sat stunned and smiling at how good that Album was.. We tried, but, nobody could sing like Steven Tyler! Phenomenal vocals. Congrats to the band on a Life’s journey that this fan for life got to witness from their launch from Boston. Legends! 🤓❤🥳🤘
His gravel-ly hard voice is what broke his larynx. At his age, that doesn't come back 100%. They are awesome.
@@roxyloveslucy Yeah, I studied Voice with a private teacher and they didn't offer or recommend that technique.. 🤔. Rocker's be Rocker's .. 👍
"Life's a journey not a destination" Amen. This band got me through school and way beyond. Even today their music helps me soooo mutch!! No one can even come close to them!
Wrote one of the GREATEST Rock anthems of all time, "Dream On"! Hands down one of the Greatest Rock bands to grace the stage and survive so many challenges and continue to deliver hit after hit. Steven, it is "okay" brother. You have done enough and more than anyone could ever dream of doing. While I cannot imagine how much it pains you to receive this diagnosis, you should know that you have done your job well and inspired countless fans and musicians for generations upon generations. Perhaps, enjoy your time with family as well as the fruits of your labor. While your LIVE energy and voice will be missed, you have given us a half a century worth of music to carry us into the future. God Bless you and the band. Salute to you.
Beautifully said
I LOVE this group. I've seen them live 3 times and will continue to play their music loud and proud. If you guys ( the band) read this, all my ❤❤❤ to you !!!

One of the best Rock bands ever!!!!
THE BEST!!! Other's are close, but not better.......
Yep this is sad news but there music 🎶 will carry on. 😎👈
I'm so sorry for Aerosmith retirement. I hope the guys find other things down the road that they might want to do. My best wishes for the band. I love you guys forever and ever. Peace Out.
Completely breaks my heart. How I love this band. Love and prayers to Steven and the rest of the band.

How long have you been a fan ?
I am SO THANKFUL that I got the chance to see them. It was my 16th birthday present( im 36 now). My Grandma (who was my best friend and has since passed to cancer) bought me and my dad a ticket to go. Kiss was the headliner that night . Man, Aerosmith put on SUCH A GREAT SHOW that night. You guys created a core memory in me, and I'm sure in many others who also have great stories. Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart for all the years of your talent. Dream on✌️
Thats awesome and your Grandma sounds like a wonderful woman and may she rest in peace and her spirit live on in you and the music.
I am thankful too! Twas my first concert also 😊 I was 15.❤
luckily it was just see them and not meet them or else this story couldve ended very differently
After 50 years, they've definitely earned their retirement. Sad to see them go, but they'll never ever be forgotten.
All the great bands are retiring. There are NO great bands replacing them. There never will be. Today's new music will not be remembered. Aerosmith will always be remembered!
No disrespect to current bands but this era of rock was fantastic
Thank you Aerosmith for your amazing talent that you have shared over 5 decades!! I am so very grateful that I got to see you in concert. You truly blow away any other bands ever!! You are a brotherhood that has endured absolutely everywhere together and it showed in your music and in your performance!! Steven...there could never be another vocalist who could even come close to your range and stamina!! You rule the stage, and command respect, not just for you but for the band!! It must be a bittersweet day for you to announce this, and I can only imagine how deep it runs for you all. Be assured that it runs deep for your fans as well. I wish you all an amazing retirement as you go about your lives in a different way, always know that your talent, kindness, heart, soul, and rock and roll has touched the lives of everyone in some waybor another. May you all enjoy good health and great times going forward in your new adventures!! Cheers to AEROSMITH!!!! May we all DREAM ON!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Much love ❤❤❤
They've been jamming for over 5 decades they definitely deserve it your music will live on forever
That band’s been around for over 50 years. They do deserve respect and to me it’s probably a good thing that they’re retiring because they have families that they need to take care of and grandkids as well too and who knows maybe one of the grandkids might take over the band, Aerosmith And the next several years, but God bless Aerosmith,
What a legend. I used to love watching MTV when MTV was music television. Aerosmiths videos were always good and went with the lyrics and music.
Yeah, Janie's got a gun was a great video. I miss these days..
My best friend and I are in mourning! We were set to see Aerosmith in February. But we understand. Going to miss them. Thank you for the many years of R&R! And if there is ever an opportunity for a comeback tour, please call me first. 💜 Greatest R&R band in my time!
Saw Aerosmith 6 times over the decades. First time in 1975 and the last time in 2006. Much love and thanks to Steven, Joe, Brad, Tom and Joey for providing the soundtrack of my life.
Bet They Rocked Live🤘
That’s awesome !!! That’s one band I wanted to see but never did 😢
Me too. 5 times since the 80's. Never disappointed.
I had the honor back in 2001 to see them live. Fuel opened up for them. Aerosmith has actually been a significant part of my upbringing and I am proud to have grown up with their music. Thank you, Steven, Joe, Brad, Tom, and Joey for everything! You deserve the retirement you need!
THANK YOU AREOSMITH!
Much Love ❤😢
I feel so fortunate I saw them a few times in the 70s and 80s. I am heartbroken, but definitely understand. We are all getting old. I just saw the Stones with Mick being 80. I just thank them so much for the amazing music and memories.
Steven Tyler has an iconic voice, he’s always rocked in my book and still does 🤘❤
The 70s was the best time of my life. And you were a part of it. Walk this WAY.
Much love ❤❤
Tyler was singing great up until recently. Good time to get out. I’m sure he doesn’t wanna be picked apart like these others that are staying too long at the party. He’ll be remembered as one of the greatest frontmen of all time. Not an aging vocalist still trying to do what he did when he was young.
Like Brian Johnson, for instance.
I wish they'd all stop. It's sad to watch some of them. They're ruining their own legacy that they worked so hard to build.
You mean like Vince Neil ? Dudes a joke on stage
I’m proud to say I saw them twice in concert! Thank God for that opportunity! I still love them. Always have, always will! Art is what we use to decorate our homes, music is what we use to decorate our lives. ♥️
Much love ❤❤
Tyler was one of the few men that was not sounding worse with age, This is a sad way for him to go out thank God I got to see them in 87, 99, and 24
It's not sad. It's justified and understandable. What is sad is seeing people like Brian Johnson still trying to sing.
You r so right!!!!
There will never be another Steven Tyler! You can't replace him or his voice ever, I hope you are on the mend to recover quickly love you forever Steven you are a big part of my life have always been a big part of my life have helped me through so many bad times and enjoy the good ones too! Enjoy all the fruits of your labor now sit back relax and enjoy your time with your family

They’ve been touring for a long time and hey we’re all getting old, I’m glad I had the opportunity to see them live a few times ❤. May they enjoy retirement 💯👏
I'm very proud of Aerosmith. They are a class act.
Apparently you didn't read about ST's "indiscretions" with young girls. I got to see their behavior first hand, as my ex worked for them. If you had seen and heard the things that I did; you wouldn't be calling them a class act.
@@carlariggs525 I was referring to their decision musically. My comment had nothing to do with their personal lives.
@@carlariggs525 people will remember micheal jackson as the king of pop but no one remembers his allegations of sleeping with children at never neverland.
I've been an aerosmith fan since I was teenager. For 1 reason or another I never got a chance to see them. Finally as they announced the last tour I got tickets to see them. The show was September 9th on long Island. Who would've thought my first time seeing them would be the last time they ever played. I remember saying I never could imagine Steven sounding that good as his age. He left it all out there. I remember thinking if he is this good now I could imagine him in his prime.
It’s sad, however, they had a great run.
Sad to hear this because i never got the chance to see them live but at least we have their music - they’re one of the greatest rock bands ever
Worked for that band starting in 1974 left in 1978
Still my friends, terrible news. Just saw them in Pittsburgh and they rocked.
They gave it all for rock and roll!
Pittsburg was a year ago already, time is flying...
@@MrRidleyDog yea
And I was planning to go to the first show in September.
@@bourbontraveler At least now the fans can get their money back. I saw them on the 3rd night at UBS Arena, it was an incredible show, too bad it looks like it will be their last.
Yeah, their souls
NiteBob or Rabbit??? How cool that you worked the first run!! How utterly amazing was the come back!! Aerosmith Forever!!
I agree about them not cheaping out. I grew up in the 70's, seen Aerosmith 4 times and I would expect nothing less from them. My 2nd favorite band after Led Zeppelin. Love all those guys in Aerosmith!
Heartbreaking 💔. Praying for Steven Tyler 🙏🏼.
@@Doomer-p2j hahahahahaha yep all those bands back then did, it's crazy...
We had tickets to their concert last November but it was postponed. When they rescheduled, we were going to go but the uncertainty of Steven's voice led us to cancel it. Much respect for them to retire 👏
One of my favorite bands and early introductions to Rock. Farewell Aerosmith!
I'm so proud of them for keeping it honest and not going out there and faking it like many of their peers have and do. Thank you Aerosmith. I've been a lifelong fan and seen them live 3 times. Respect.
I saw them twice in Mexico and Guatemala, both shows were great. Steven Tyler sang his ass off on both shows.
54 years. I think we've had more than we could have expected. Thank you so much for all the many years of your genius guys. We will always love you.
...I'd rather have Aerosmith walk away, heads held HIGH, and know that they will always be the 'American Rolling Stones', and know their Music (from ALL the Decades) will "Dream On" forever and EVER.......this is a Good thing, TRUST.........
That's what I always thought of Aerosmith. They were the American version of The Rolling Stones but I always thought Steven Tyler had a better voice than Mick. Tyler was the man.
First album I ever bought was Toys in the Attic! Will always love Arrowsmith. ❤️
Always love ❤❤❤
For a great band that persevered through many generations, Aerosmith had a great run and their music will stand the test of time. Although I'm sad that I never got to see them live, I know that all good things come to an end.
I was so excited to hear them in person in October!! So sad it was cancelled, waited close to a year to see them :(
A life long fan here. They captured my imagination in 1975, saw them live at the LA Forum that same year, as well as a number of times since.
I think that it is awesome that they were pretty much intact as a band until the end. Although Joey and the band had some issues at the end, nobody died and had to be replaced, or have the band break up because of such an incident. I am so very sorry that Steven's voice is not up to the rigors of live performances. I am sure that it pains him to not be able to finish the final tour, but is a wise choice not to attempt it, we are completely with you brother.
What a run gentlemen. Thank you for all of the great music and live moments!
Well said!! Steven used to always tell Joe when he would play too loud, "You can change your guitar strings, I can't change my vocal cords"........Well done and deep respect for the "Demon Of Screamin" and Joe, Brad, Tom & Joey!!! THANK YOU for the incredible musical memories!!!
50 plus years, Amazing career, Amazing Band legendary, Rock lives forever
Beautiful statement. I’m sad that the Aerosmith era is over. They’ve been historic and so much of their music is still relevant and will play on. I do hate that like Ozzy , they can’t retire on their own terms but that injuries forced them out. It’s really sad.
injuries catch up on people, sooner or later. Ozzy and Tyler are both lucky that they were able to continue as long as they did.
@@UltimateGamerCC 100% - going that hard for that long and still performing for decades more is pretty remarkable. Your body remembers everything you ever did to it at some point or another. What a hell of a run they had.
@@UltimateGamerCC you aren’t wrong. I was merely saying it’s sad that they couldn’t have finished the way they wanted to retire but rather their bodies gave out, just before their stage goodbye.
wasn't it over a long time ago? did they even put out successful new music?
@@kidrobot. Their last studio album that went platinum was released in 2001, when they had already been touring for upwards of 30 years and had 11 platinum albums under their belts. Their last two albums did not see the same sales, so I guess they just stuck with what they knew fans already liked and wanted to hear. No point in risking ticket sales when you have a winning formula. Plus, I would imagine you hit a point when you realize you've already lived through the peak of your dream and just want to hang on for as long as you're able. I don't think of not wanting to write new music as washed-up or anything - they've just been in their last chapter for quite some time.
Hope. You. Feel better. You guys are amazing.
Always love ❤❤❤
No band has had more lives than Aerosmith.
They've been one of my favorite bands since I first heard Dream On in 73.
Sad to hear they are retiring.
54 years of great Rock and Roll.

The GOAT rock band. Aerosmith is legendary what all they have accomplished and the music they have blessed us with. I appreciate everything they are and everything they bring each and every time. Bless you all, go take care of yourselves now, best you can, and thank you so much!
55 years as a band is insane... I'm only 30, so they have been "washed up" my whole life, but honestly one of the very first cd's i ever got when i was only 10 was Just Push Play and i jammed that shit lol. One of the biggest and baddest bands of all time for sure, respect.
I have seen many concerts with Draw The Line in 1977 as my first concert. I was going to take my older brother to see Aerosmith for the final PEACE ☮️UT TOUR in Dallas after postponing it from Steven vocal injury last year. It sucks, I had tickets for the Seattle date and was really looking forward to it, however the band is making the right decision if they dont think they can put on the shows then farewell Aerosmith.
If they continued, Steven would’ve lost his ability to speak properly, they’ll always be remembered as one of the best bands that’s ever walked the planet ❤

I saw them only once. Summer Jam 2, Aerosmith, Foreigner, AC/DC (with Bon Scott) and Frank Marino and Mohagany Rush live at Cominsky Park, 1978, Chicago!!! One of my favorite concerts!!!
That sounds awesome!!🤘
@@iloveacdc5791 Angus got on Bon Scotss shoulders and walked in the crowd! It was so cool! Angus just jamming out these killer blues solos. They were on fire! You see, around that time, 1976, 77, Chicago and most of the country I guess hated punk music. We all thought AC/DC was punk at first. After that concert, I was all into "Let there Be Rock," that was my first AC/DC album and my favorite.
@@ChicagoBeaver Omg! I wish I could have seen that! I have heard about the punk thing, so I guess it was a pleasent suprise once they started playing! I'm so jealous that you got to see them in their prime, you are very lucky!
@@iloveacdc5791 Honestly, I had never heard of their music, I read about them in Rock magazines. Same thing with Blondie. Try to find interviews where Deborah Harry mentions that. They were almost boycotted on FM rock radio stations, nobody played their music, and she said they weren't even punk!
As far as AC/DC, I think "Highway to Hell" is their best album in terms of creativity and strong songs, every song is so good. "Back in Black" was their most successful album. They can still rock!!
@@ChicagoBeaver Yes they can! Saw them a few weeks ago in Stuttgart and they were amazing! Of course you can't compare them to their younger selfs, but I am still very glad I got to see them! Having just turned 35 and got laid off, I'm at a turning point. With $425K saved for early retirement at 40, $10K in an HSA, and a property that could sell for an extra $200K, what are my options for investing aggressively?
It makes sense to consider a financial advisor at this stage, but delaying retirement might be a smarter choice
Not going back to work. I'm unsure whether to consolidate all my investment accounts into one. If I do, how should I handle it and what should I be aware of? I also plan to sell my property, which could bring in an extra $200K over time. Should I combine everything into one account or spread it out across different investments?
These are key questions for a financial planner. I connected with mine at a summit, and with her help, my wife and I reallocated our $1.7M portfolio between a traditional IRA and brokerage account. She’s been managing the investment with our approval and has helped us recover twice our losses. Currently hodl’ing steady and cautiously navigating the market
That’s impressive! My portfolio has been struggling. Who is your advisor?
Lois Jean Frueh. Look her up online, she's well-known.
Take care Steven!🤗🤗🤗
