Awesome really informative, this was more helpful than some videos that have stupid views and don't provide helpful info for other people's builds. Yours did thanks.
Thank you!!! I really appreciate it!!
Amazing 😻
Do you have directions on how you built the bed frame? I absolutely love how you did your van. I've had almost the same idea in my head since I started thinking about #vanlife but I hadn't seen anyone else do it so I wasn't sure it would work. I have zero construction skills either or tool experience but watching you made me feel like I could do it as well. Great job with all the time and detail to prevent the rust from ever starting. Any problems with condensation? How do you plan to deal with the cold if you are living in it in the winter? What size is your bed and where did you get the mattress for it? Awesome job and congratulations on finishing it yourself best of luck and safety on all your adventures!!
Thank you so much! No issues on condensation! So I’ve had it through all the seasons and it def matches the temperatures at times - what I’ve learned is it is wayyyyy easier being cold in the van than being hot in the van! You can bundle up, blankets, I’ve got a campsite with an outlet and tan my heater - when it’s hot, you just sweat and sweat more.
I got a custom mattress to fit the space I had left! It’s like in between a full and a queen.
The bed I got this metal “L” like structure from Home Depot, screwed it in to the wall and then glued the planked on top of it! Then I have that cabinet unit and some small beams under to give it more strength! Works great!
