Look at u, Leara! I've been meaning to comment on your videos but kept getting distracted, which is definitely not one of your hang-ups. You only have one life, dear niece. You amaze me with your dedication to pursuing and achieving YOUR best life. I'm proud of you. Much love, Aunt F
Thank you for your continued support! I can’t wait for you to see the bus all completed 💕
It's coming along, can't wait to see the final results.
I dont even know you and I'm so proud of you. Keep using the talents God gave you. See it through. ❤
crazy impressive to me to watch 1 person work on this/organize this for themselves and see it through
This video is very encouraging! Thanks for sharing!!
I totally agree with you ❤ 🔥😅🥳
I am also doing a DIY…I’m 57. You are awesome and brave. Do NOT let any negative comments touch your bubble. Be proud of yourself, this stuff is hard and stressful. God bless!
Thank you so much!

omg thank you! I hope you stick around on my channel!
I'm excited to see what you do next.
New sub im a sucker for a new van life build. And I absolutely love when i see something new. I have never seen a sub floor laid iut so practically. ❤
omg thank you!
This is by far the absolute BEST video I’ve seen step by step on how to frame and do the floors. Im using your video to redo my floors in my tiny van. Thank you so much… Total lifesaver ❤
Thanks you! and I’m glad I could help!
Do you have videos too? Would love to support your channel as well! ❤
You did very good
Hey, hi! Just got a shuttle bus and I’ll be following your lead thanks for the idea on the floor 😊
I hope my content can help you with your build & I wish you luck on your journey!
Omg! Best of luck with your build! ❤❤❤
Just watched this with my family. Super stoked to see how this bus turns out!!
Omg thank you so much! One of your videos popped up on my homepage earlier and I love that there are p.o.c out here traveling and living the lives of their dreams! I saw one of your older videos when you shared a meal with a family that was passing by / interested in what you were doing and I thought that was super cool! I hope you follow along with my channel as I build my future home on wheels!
Seeing other people of color live my dreams warms my heart so badly 🤍
"A" for effort, But please somebody local to her, help her out. I turned a shuttle bus into a camper. That subfloor, you didn't need it, underneath the rubber floor is marine grade plywood. You could screw directly to that.
Spray foam and glue... Is not your friend. Remember this is a vehicle one that travels at highway speeds and if things aren't secured and you get into a front end accident, everything is coming forward.
I hope you're luckier than I was with my purchase. The subframe frame that connect the sides of the bus to the deck are prone to terrible rust. Be sure to double check those and do any structural repairs before adding weight. Driver side, under the cabin is the only place you can put a blackwater tank, Make sure that it is 4 in below your deck so your gray water you can cross connect into it if need be. Freshwater tank I would put in the rear under your bed. Gray water, for some reason I believe I put it on the passenger side but I can't remember it's been over 10 years.
I cut off the bus doors in the front and put in a regular van door and read it the fiberglass on top. My coach batteries were two hybrid batteries and those I mounted under the bus behind the passenger seat. Hot water, I was in Southern California so for ABS pipes mounted on the roof interconnected, each with a vent/fill valve, set in a custom bracket made of steel with rubber saddles. It held about 30 gallons of water. You have to fill from the top, Only when dry with a garden hose. Once the system is full it will run off of the main pressure for the cold water. When you open a sink/shower valve the cold water will come through the cold when you open up the hot water it will push the water up through the roof but gravity is pulling the water down so there's no stress on the pump as it is a closed loop system. This keeps you from having to worry about a hot water heater or fuel as the sun heats the black pipes up to 130 plus degrees (this only works if you're someplace where it doesn't freeze).
But seriously somebody local to her help her out. All the same engineering systems that are in a house or in a camper that you are building and in addition to that you have to keep in mind weight distribution and roadworthiness when it comes to the safety of passengers in a crash if one is to occur. You can't Make any vehicle crash proof but you can use smart engineering to minimize any injuries. Imagine that floating sub floor, and everything that is built on top of it, sliding forward in a crash or hard-breaking. By the time it's finished It's probably going to be close to 2000 lb of materials that aren't anchored, violently moving forward to the driver's compartment. It's not going to be pretty. So if there's a local welder, engineer or carpenter, whatever reach out and help this girl out so that she's not wasting her money and has something that will last that is safe. Just donate a few hours of your time. It's not going to hurt you.
We all need a hand in life. Nobody was born without somebody to teach them and guide them.
She screwed the flooring and frames in, what’s the problem there?

2:40 FYI if you clamp the wood down while cutting it won't bounce around like that and cause a jagged cut
