It's time to fully blaze through 22 fucking arcade mode stories. I apologize for the audio being so quiet here, I forgot to adjust. I'm not sure how interesting it is to watch me annihilate the AI but this was probably the fastest way for me to get this up.
So the biggest surprise is that it's been 3 WHOLE MONTHS since the first big Hollow Night. This just makes me more angered that there is no Chronicle Mode covering all this stuff that COULD HAVE happened.
Anyways, it goes Wald-Hilda-Kuon which is rather to the point all things considered. Only mentions of Seth, Yuzu, and Vatista, with Linne nowhere to be found. Not even Tsurugi.
The ending clearly implies things aren't entirely over.

Really like how Hyde's just gotten so much more confident in himself. It's like he's said "yeah, I know I'm up against a guy about to end the world but....nah, I'd win."
Really characterizes his growth from a rookie to a more experienced fighter.
Also, I love the little ??? tease at the end.
Same here. I especially like how taunted about Hilda losing to Kuon while making his loss no big deal since he knows he’ll pay him back with interest. Considering how he acted around her in the first game, it’s a major confidence boost.

It'll become glaringly obvious who I can play and who I can't real soon.
I know these videos are a little old, but I’m playing through the Arcade Modes now and I’m gonna leave my thoughts as I go through.
This one was basic, but is probably the canon one. As far as a canon continuation to the story goes, I was pleasantly surprised to see Hyde’s maturity shine through. His two interactions before Kuon really show that he’s moved past inferiority or anime-ness and just wants to get the job done. However, his final bout with Kuon is still marred by fear; I love that his trait of pacifism no matter what had to be sacrificed for the greater good.
The actual ending was also just… ergghhhhh I love it. It’s the perfect way to tie that story up in a nice little bow for now, it’s wonderful. A great way to start the disparate stories of the Final Night.
I really love how Hyde adopted a “Doesn’t give a f***” attitude. XD He went from being nervous around Hilda in the first game to gloating about how she got her ass kicked by Kuon while making the fact he did as well no big deal since he’ll pay him back. My boi became so badass. Thank you for uploading!
Wow, Wald actually kinda became the "Bad Guy". Also as a PC player i'm so envious.
He was only loyal to Linne because of her brother. Makes sense he’d immediately switch to Kuon when he came back as sad as it is
As a silver lining, Wald was completely prepared to stop Kuon if he was going to leave without giving Wald the rematch he had been waiting for for 500 years.
Kuon is a big example of Gameplay and Story Segregation
Story he is the strongest in-birth in the world. Hard to take down
Gameplay he can be taken down like everyone else by everyone else
Hilda suffered the same thing, this shouldn't come as any surprise to anybody.

Kuon calls him the “Unknown Actor” in his win quote. They even localized it.

@@Zarrius05 I mean, wild card makes sense. But Hyde being called the “Unknown Actor” makes sense. Given how both titles both reflect on how Hyde fights.
Man Hyde really locked-in he knew he was gonna be against everyone including the strongest guy around and he faced it all head-on.

@@DeepestDankest I took it as more of teenage hormones firing off than actual romantic interest but that's just me. to be honest though I think at least Hyde's and maybe Seth's ending can be interpreted as romantic if you want and not if you don't but again that's just me.
@@micske0337 Orie has been visiting Hyde's house near daily for like a year at this point. Orie even came back from Germany to be around him again.
Seth and Linne might be a thing but Hyde clearly shows no interest in Linne.

The Kaguya run is going to be hilarious to watch because I didn't bother to play her in the beta.

Im not expecting a chronicles mode for this game, maybe kuon arcade will explain how he defeated hyde and hilda before the events of the final night. Also there will be no futher explanation for what actually happens after the final night, all we are getting are some endings that leaves some "clues" (and im being generous calling it clues) for what could potentially happenen to the chars.
Hope im wrong, but I don't think they will expand the story in uni 2 much further.
Kuon overpowering Hyde and Hilda are the last things I'm interested in because that's just a regular power-scale elevation. Give me what everyone was up to for the past 3 months and show me everyone getting to know each other.

Wait, there's no chronicle mode? They just wake up and decide to get it over with...? I guess that means it could be added later with the dlc characters potentially, since there's more Re-Births...
There's a 3 month gap between UNI1 and 2, there's plenty of material they can potentially cover. I have hope.
Never known a game to add a fighting game to add a whole story mode as dlc. This is all we get, but at least the game is fun ig.
As a BlazBlue fan I was hoping for a huge story in the same style(continuum shift preferably) but I don't think we'll see something like that for a long time.
@@ThatGuy-en2nnHopefully that happens. But more than likely if a Story mode does become available it’ll be a new edition of the game. Just as French Bread did before.

@@seansharpe1998You can turn the difficulty up in the settings. I don’t know what the uploader was playing on though but the CPU difficulty can be turnt up to 5, while the default is at 3.
