One thing I want to note is that with a lot of special moves that have follow-ups in this game (like Hyde's fireball and its follow-ups), you don't need to do the motion input again, you just need to hold the last direction and press the corresponding follow-up button.
I would argue Mika is not a grappler, she is a rushdown character that have a command grab. She is a brawler that like to be in your face 24/7, and having a command grab help her offense, but her gameplan does not revolve around it. (You mentions Beowulf as an example, but his entire gameplan is definitely ending every combo into a command grab to run his incredibly deadly oki)
