There’s only so many times that can be deployed against the Tyranids before they develop an immunity. Life-Eater is a supremely destructive weapon, and they should probably save those times when it will work for really dire situations…

And it's just two planets being assailed by a splinter fleet, not a FULL hive fleet. It explains why we only see some basic bioforms and not mid-late invasion stage creatures like Hierophants, Tervigons, Harridans, Trygons, Hive Guards, etc. Hell, we don't even see the newer Von Ryan's Leapers, Neurolictors, and Neurotyrants. Would love to see if they can add a future Operations mission dealing with a potential Genestealer cult on Avarax, even if they already had been tainted by Chaos.

I find myself instinctively using the shoulder bash to chase Tyranid warriors who try to hop away and the kick if I have another melee class teammate to stagger and enable more melee hits overall. The stomp usually fulfills most roles though. I haven't bothered counting the frames but it feels like it comes out as fast as the 4th hit in a full combo-chain.

Any class that can equip a Chainsword can customize their talents to unlock these moves. Tactical, Assault, Vanguards, and Bulwarks.

I don't think they mentioned that this is a Life-Eater virus bomb. We could have lit the whole planet on fire if that were the case but there are clearly Imperial resistance troops around.

They bought about a day and a half for the Ultramarines to arrive. But even then, they abandoned Kadaku after evacuating important personnel. It still led to the Hive Tyrant's death on Avarax but we don't know how things are back on Kadaku.

Deathwatch mission is about at least slowing the hive fleet down. Not fully stopping it And their death is not in vain

If you're getting mobbed by smaller enemies you can still parry to instantly kill them. If not, you can switch to Power Mode, attack, and gunstrike small enemies who get knocked away.

Hasn't there been a couple years between the Fall of Cadia, the Terran Crusade, the Indomitus Crusade, the Arks of Omen, and the 4th Tyrannic War? It was a century between them but apparently that got retconned to only be about 40 years between Guilliman's return and the end of the Plague Wars.

I think there are still a fair number of Cadian-born guardsmen still out there.

So much of the game captures that 40k feel, even these smaller moments.

@@DeepestDankest yes! Ive been admiting all the guard stuff especially. From the first mission on even if its just wrecked chimeras in the swamp

I was wondering why the guard weren't using the Sentinels that were dotted around the bases. Especially when they were rolling out that single Leman Russ in the first mission, they had like two Sentinels in the hangar.
