among the thousands of stories I have read and listened to, this one is easily the most unsettling. it just feels so... off, so unsettling in a way that's hard to describe. I don't think I have ever seen the unknowable, ineffable aspect of cosmic horror done this well before, not even by lovecraft himself. there is no way to describe it, no way to understand the nameless dark, it just is. and this story couldn't have done that better.

i think that boy watched only the first few episodes of full metal alchemist bc he clearly didnt see what happened to the guys who tried to transmute their mother back to life
Male deer aren't generally assholes just during the rutting and mating season. They will attack you if you pose yourself as a threat to their offspring or their food source or themselves.
this would have been a much more coherent and interesting concept and story if it had just been a single set of characters or maybe they were intertwined a little better than this.
I had a hard time seeing any of the antagonists in these stories as like, evil, or even like, scary, like maybe except for the gnawing thing. A lot of the others felt like it was hard to tell the danger level at all so it was hard to be scared. It's interesting stories thought.
The Nameless Dark would be interesting to see in The Creepypasta Series with Jeff Smile Jane Princess Laughing Jack Ben Sally and their friends and parents doing this.

I'm referring to the author obviously not the narrator who's merely reading what was written by someone else.
