George & Michael are everything I thrive to become. The inspiration through fitness or business, even personality mindsets, drive me to become someone in this world. I thank you both for this amazing documentary. It’s insane! Would love to see more in the future. Peace & Love x
Not a lot of brands give such an intimate look behind their processes, this is really great thanks guys. Very interesting to see how your personal lives influence the creative output.
This video taught me something I had a problem realizing. (sidenote: started my brand (artistrybeing) during the pandemic last year in October) I had a problem realizing I didn't need to sell out immediately with my first collection. It felt like if I couldn't sell out I couldn't be part of the fashion industry or get noticed. It is steadily creating something that has a foundation (a story, narrative, etc.). I am excited to see what becomes of my brand. This video is inspiring. Solid mindset. I appreciate the contents you guys put out.
Exactly is not easy because selling is essential!!!! but found yourself in the process, enjoy your art and embrace every aspect of yourself and how you see the world is the unique way to build a strong branding for people to not just buy clothes but a feeling
Dear George and Mike, The effort you have put in your brand (which is a lifestye at this point) is unreal. This is what true passion looks like. Very inspiring and teaching for me now that I am studying in university and thinking what I want from life. I hope one day I am as passionate for my work as you and the rest of the team are. This is the only way in my opinion work is going to be pure pleasure and not an every-day nightmare, and I also believe this is the real definition of success. Thank you for helping me dream and set goals about my mind, body and whole life in general. Thank you for impacting me and so many others positively. Love and support from Greece guys
Inspiration to watch it all from the start. My little sister has just started her brand and I keep sending her all these videos. Quality work, quality clothing and you can see the passion. Good luck for the rest of your future.
Fw17 remain one of my favorite seasons from Represent! The skinhead aesthetic executed very well in my opinion! I've been the Represent follower since 2014 and able to see the growth of brand really touching my heart! Keep great things happen, which I know y'all do!
Thanks to whoever worked on the subtitles. I don't speak English, so this helps me understand. Also, congratulations to all those who have worked for Represent. You did a good job and I hope this is just the beginning 🔥🔥
I'm 30 mins in and this is amazing. I bough t the original black decade of dedication book as I own my own brand. You're inspiring the next generation of UK artists everyday, keep it up lads. I'm also from Burnley v close to Bolton
In love with ur brand George and Michael. Picked up a tee back in 2019 and since then im stuck on it. keep going strong guys greetings from Switzerland
Every clothing brand owner knows how insane the workload is, that you have to put in, to achieve the quality and consistency REPRESENT is achieving. Its really insane to me. Its not built in a day. If you believe in what you are doing, trust in the process. Thanks for the inspiration George & Mike.
Followed this journey over many years and happened to bump into George himself once in a restaurant fantastic group of lads and a great story. Wish you all the best fellas.
An amazing documentary and something we've been wanting for a long time. Truly inspirational and incredible what you guys have done so far and the greatness will only grow. Been a fan for a long time and that will be the case for many more years to come. You guys receive all this praise and acknowledgement for good reason. This is only the beginning and beyond excited for what you guys have in store for the next decade🙏Best brand in the world🖤😬✔️💪🏼
As much as you used to block me in when you went to the gym near my studio, all credit to what you have achieved for the brand. Good luck for the next 10 years.
These videos just sparked a whole new interest in your brand! I bought a pair of jeans around 5 years ago and just now have I seen how far you guys have come, wow! I'll definitely be following the brand closely this time!
KEEP THIS CONTENT GOING! Ben from gym shark is an amazing example, he’s now built a brand around himself through his videos. I love your brand, I remember spending all my Christmas money in 2017 ish to buy your jeans!
We'll be live streaming the documentary tomorrow on Discord. Feel free to join the Discord and subscribe to the event! after the live stream we will have a little talk and talk and discuss about the documentation. discord.gg/tgRpmPXfBh
this was so well put together, still remember the old lookbook video with ‘nikes on my feet’ that made me buy into represent. still have them to this day aswell! heres to another ten years 😎
I'm in awe. What a powerhouse. So inspiring. If I can be half as happy and successful and content as you both one day George and Mike, then I know my hard work and determination would have paid off. Would love to cross paths with you both in the future. The only way is up.
Just wish you would of been a bit more transparent on coming from a millionaire family in the first place and having that as a helping hand and fall back was a big help, not to take away from what you have done, but its a pretty significant start.
As someone starting a menswear brand. This is so true. The amount of capital needed is crazy, more than most realize. Though at the end of the day the work has to be put in & it clearly was. But V valid point!
@@uvwxyzero Parents are wealthy from Transport business. I think the best way I can put it, having financial backing and security means you find your way and afford to fuck it up. Where as most people starting up with their own cash at that age most probably will fail or give up. Like they said they worked out of a sheaf at the end of the garden, more like a decent sized studio you can drive a ranger rover upto where as most people started out of their bedroom. If you look at their beginnings they just copied every other Front Magazine brand that just did what ever merch asylum printed on. The name Represent, was typical at the time for middle class white kids who had no connection with the streets or culture. Then when streetwear was done, they copied what Yeezy was doing. It was only a few years after the kind of found their way. Where as most brands would of died before hand. I wouldn’t really say they are Complete innovators too this day, just watch them going on about band t shirts like they invented the whole vintage band shirt trend. It’s definitely no fair to say rich parents got them to where they are now but it was a very significant stepping stone and all of us would give that to our kids if we could. I think the best years from them are to come yet now though.
@@keefcheef291 I totally understand what you mean and without doubt it helps starting on a solid foundation. I also find it slightly annoying when people who come from means intentionally avoid that part of the story. And people with little means a sort of fooled into thinking they can do it too. Thanks
What do you think would go down well with something like this? I once asked myself whether a brand that is inspired by the new styles, e.g.: oversize T-shirts, jeans that have a slit at the bottom of the leg but are not too wide, would be well received? What do you think, would something like this work well in the streetwear market?
Good Job George & Michael! But god damn why does everyone want to look the same, everyone in the waiting line puffer jacket and white shoes (90% AirForce1) :D
Was glaubt Ihr, würde so etwas gut ankommen? Was meint Ihr, würde so etwas in dem Streetwear Markt gut funktionieren?

And it doesnt help that people are now dropping "How i sold 10k worth of tshirts in my first drop" type videos...its an unrealistic narrative
Just checked out your Instagram page and website. Good stuff!

Good documentary on the brands istory but man the audio mixing is crazy off in some parts. Background music completely drowning out the voiceover
