- After using Billie razors for quite some time, I got curious what Flamingo razors were all about when I saw them advertised online and throughout my local Target stores. I decided to put them head to head to figure out which razor is worth your money! They both focus on eliminating the "pink tax" and providing women with affordable, attractive, and effective razors --- but there's a clear winner, in my opinion. I hope you enjoy :)

I’ve used Flamingo, and it was less than satisfactory, but I loved the handle so much. What I ended up doing was buying Harry’s Razors (from what I could tell they are owned by the same company) and used those razor heads in place of the Flamingo ones. With them I’ve noticed a much better quality shave. And just to mention the Harry’s starter kit is the same price as the Flamingo one, the difference between the two: no wall holder for Harry, but it comes with a case that goes over the top of the razor for you to travel with.

@@angiec.1941 yes you can! i had to use it one day with harrys and it was a way better blade. so i use the flamingo handle but a harrys blade
Me too. I tired flamingo and it wasn't a great shave for my legs. And my sister and her husband used Harry and when I saw they were part of the same company and you can use the blades on flamingo I switched
I love my Dollar Shave Club. Yes, it’s targeted towards men, but the razors are amazing and give such a smooth shave! Very high quality stuff.

I signed up for Billie about a year ago after watching your video review on it. Since then, I will never go back. I have super sensitive skin and the lotion/aloe completely surrounding the blade makes all the difference. I LOVE my Billie. It's so affordable. I also think the replacement packs come with 4. I'm not sure if that's a setting that I chose or not. Either way, I will never use another razor. I forgot my Billie at home when I went back to school after Christmas, so I tried using one of the razors that I would have used regularly a year ago, and it was very uncomfortable. There was an obvious difference, so I ordered another billie razor handle. It was so affordable and was shipped quickly. Totally worth it. Thank you so much for posting these reviews!!

I tried Flamingo and for me, it was fantastic for the first shave, but after that the blade would pop off multiple times per shave. Just ordered my billie and can't wait to try it.

By the way - the Billie shave cream is really nice. I use like a pea sized amount for each leg because it’s so slippy, but I feel like it moisturizes my legs (which is nice because I don’t always feel like lotioning and waiting for it to sink in after every shower haha). I think the bottle is gonna last me all year 😆

Flamingo razor would always give me razor burn and bumps and and over 10 nicks per leg and that’s with a fresh blade. Billie on the other hand I always have a smooth shave and no nicks or bumps or burn it’s wonderful
I recently switched to Billie. My mom told me about the brand Billie. Before Billie I was using Shick Intuition razor but I never got around to buying the replacement razors heads for it. So I then switched to the Shick Hydro Silk Trim Style Razor. But I mostly just used the electric shaver part for my bikini area. Then I started using again the cheap $1 pink razors from Walmart or the cheap $1 white razors from Target cause that’s what my mom always had us girls using when we were growing up. But for some reason they wouldn’t shave even if they were new once they got wet it’s like they immediately went bad.
So when my mom told me about how she switched to using Billie. So I started looking into the brand. I had my fiancé go to Walmart while I was working and pick one up for me. He got me the Billie razor in the Primary color set. The handle of the razor is green, blue and yellow. He said he almost got me the glow in the dark glitter one but wanted to get me the green one instead. I have not used it yet. But I am planning to soon.

my dad and i bought the harry's razors and those were a no as well. they were not a smooth shave and pulled and irritated both of our skin. Really disappointed because i really wanted to love it. so thank for making this video, its so helpful!

Love Billie! I’ve always had issues with suction cup holders so the magnetic holder sold me on Billie. Key is to have it further into your shower and away from where you normally enter. However… never have been a fan of the Billie handle since it doesn’t feel “grip-y” like a Venus handle or flamingo. Would love for billie to eventually look like the flamingo handle one day.

I'm debating on switching my razors. I've been shaving with Billie for over a year and found their razors weren't as sharp as they were compared to when I first subscribed. Just an observation.
I use the men's version of Flamingo. Which is the Harry's razor. They last so long and are just so great.

Yes! The super flexible head of the Flamingo razor seriously turned me off. Mine actually broke within my first two shaves so shaving with it was almost impossible. Not to mention, my razor head popped off so many times. I absolutely loved the “fancy” handle of the Flamingo razor but man that razor head was bad in my opinion. I’ve been thinking about Billie but I’m a die hard for Venus razors. 😂

I had to buy new heads for my flamingo razor and that was after 6 months
I'm not sure where you live; maybe this varies by state or something but at my local Target you get a Flamingo handle, 2 cartridges & the shower hook for $9. You get a box of 4 razor blades for $8.99 so prices are comparable. I'm on their website now and getting the same info. Personally I'm starting to think that light-weight handled razors can't be compared to heavy-weight handled razors. I know too many people used to one who can't get a good shave with the other. I tried Billie for the first time a few days ago and it was just awful unfortunately. I never get razor burn but I have it now and didn't get a smooth shave despite that. For the areas that did stay smooth over night I had to do multiple passes. I also counted five nicks which rarely happens to me with other razors. Once my legs have healed up and are no longer burning I plan to give it another go with a different shaving cream but so far it's been disappointing. That said I think, again, that the weight makes a difference for some people as well as both skin and hair type. This may just not be the right one for me! Mostly I wanted to point out that either the Flamingo prices vary by location or they've dropped them lately so people know. :)
I love my flamingo razor! I have been using it for over a year. I found hanging it on my shower, I just put my blade facing out so I don’t ruin the aloe outside. But after this video, I may have to try the Billie razor now.

I couldn't decide between Flamingo and Billie, so I chose Flamingo and I was extremely disappointed. I had received a 1/4 full (not even) can of shaving cream in my set. The razors don't even last after about 2 shaves, they become dull. Personally I'd rather use a venus disposable razor than this one. The ONLY good thing about Flamingo is their lotion: smells amazing and keeps you feeling hydrated.
I bought a Billie razor and all it did was give me ingrown hairs in my armpits and bikini area. This was NEVER a problem with my Venus blades. I've never had ingrown until Billie

The Billie razor is so weird imo, the moisturizer comes out of the back and that doesn’t help at all.

Yeah, I don’t care about how the vanity of the item…does it work well? Does it leave razor bumps, or does it glide smoothly over the skin and for how long can you keep the blades before it becomes unusable.
I love my Billie...I used Venus before but I love the Billie and my husband uses Billie now too. I was going to try to buy the Harry's for him to see if it was better than Billie for him. Any thoughts?

me and my sister got the flamingo razors and only used them for about a month, both of our little wall mounts broke , and i feel like the top part of the razor past the blades was way too big and didn't allow me to get the closest shave.

Flamingo actually sells a pack a four razor attachments for nine dollars at my target. So it’s kind of weird that they have a pack of five for $16 online.

When it comes to razors it’s not much of how the razor looks.... but more of how the razors makes your skin feel and gets all the hair

i used the flamingo one and all it did was nick me and i NEVER nick myself i cut myself really bad and i noticed it would get caught more often
I didn't love the Billie razor... it is a bit too sharp and cuts the crap out of me and the moisturizer goes away after the first shave
My flamingo gave me horrible razor burn and went dull after 2 shaves :(

Is the handle non slip?
The back side of the Billie razor handle is a soft-touch, grippier materials. The flamingo handle is actually the soft touch all around.
