My favorite color loving the finished custom paint job and showing and giving tips. So nice with matching wheels it looks just like real Formula 1 car with stackered wheels , great decal job too. Thank you can’t wait to see this run with the motor setup. Thank you 🙏
Yes!! Yellow was my vote and its marvelous!!! Cant wait to see the motor you picked sure castle but your the master at the craft!!! ...I'm shocked at the motor but it's a good one will.look into those!
You don't need to use the PPS motor mount...Arrma DOES make 'optional' motor mounts for the Limitless V2. Part ARA320665 (Motor Plate 40 Series) is for motors up to 40mm in diameter, and having a 25mm screw spacing. Part ARA 320721 is for motors up to 50mm, and having a 25mm scew spacing. Finally, part ARA320722 (Motor Plate 56 Series) is for motors up to 56mm in diameter, and having a 30mm screw spacing. It's this last one that you need.
Yes but I don’t have one for that mount funny no one has mentioned it in all the installation video I watched on it James Macoy just said he put in a whole assembly but didn’t explain that you need a plate 😜
@@earlmoorhead5555 The optional motor mount plates can be ordered from Horizon Hobby. If I remember correctly, in HH's "release" video for the V2, they explained the optional motor mount plates.
@@Timson254 yes but when buying the rc at the hobby shop and picking up your electronics how would you know you might need additional parts ? The reason I show the issue with installation is hopefully the word get out is all 👍💯
@@earlmoorhead5555 A lot of times, those things have to be looked up separately. Sometimes the info is included inside the box...but, more often than naught, it's found on the websites. Tamiya & XRAY are both well-known for doing it this way - you have to check their websites for all the upgrade part options & numbers. At least, with the Limitless, Horizon Hobby did mention the optional motor mount plates in their 'unveiling' video (granted, they didn't mention the part numbers...at least, I don't recall them mentioning the part numbers). No matter what, I know that you'll end up building that one into a fantastic vehicle. I REALLY like how the green (giveaway) one ended up. 🤙🏼
Totally agree. Those eBay mounts are awful. Good motor choice. Shame about the missing standard mount. Are Arrma slipping?? Additional mount should have been included. As well as a standard pinion.
The yellow is fantastic looking what a great job you done on that Earl. Yes I thought the whole idea with this build from Arrma was so you can put in any motor and most ppl are going to go big. Should have included a suitable mount. Now I do like the look of the polished aluminum you have installed. Really does look a sweet build...... Mellow 💛 yellow.
Wow. That looks really nice. I am digging that yellow. Can you put part numbers and descriptions of the things you are using in the Video description area. I am starting to feel the "Need for Speed". I would love to start working on one of these.
Haha man I went through the same problem with that motor mount. It was also a pain changing the gear on the spool. Using surpass hobbies 8mm pinion as spool the gear grinds against the diff holder. I had to rearrange the spacers on the spool so the gear is now sitting in the middle of the 2 diff mounts and doesn't line up with the slot at the bottom of the chassis anymore. Limits you to 46t or smaller spool gear. I don't know if saga custom gears will also have the same problem or not.
Yellow paint job on that Earl just set it off man I think many Limitless built but I like the way yours look because you know only back there with the right coat of back pain to make make of it pop it looks really good and I bet money when you take it out on his final four it will just just light up Street with yellow💯👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🔧🏁
