In this show, host Kristyn Burtt breaks down the episode in which another elimination occurs after the seventh week of performances. There to help Kristyn are co-hosts Jake DuPree, Anna Trebunskaya, and Suri Serano. Also joining the conversation are special guests Lindsay Arnold and Witney Carson! It's Dancing with the Star's "Week 7" podcast!

I could go on and on about how the manipulation this season is SO obvious (over scoring much?) and how clearly the producers have already determined the final three but I'm so tired of talking about it each week so I'm just going to say I LOVE watching the podcast, I love all the guests you bring on and I'm pretty sure Jake DuPree and I are long lost soul sisters! As long as I get to hear Anna commentary every week it makes watching the show worth it.
Thanks for giving me props! Derek is one of my idols!

No we aren't all on Team Derek. We are just fans of his and appreciate the artistry that he brings. We all comment on what we like and what we don't like. There's no reason for us to hate on Derek. Remember I am a dancer too and he is a great inspiration for me! :)
I love comment from Suri. She really loves Derek and she is so big fan of him. It is so sweet and cute, but I really understand her. I am his big big fan - he is stunning choreographer and dancer and Amber is just amazing performer ad talented dancer. For me the best couple.
We are super fans of the show and of course all of us have our favorites. We love DWTS and aren't trying to ruin it at all.
Maks as a judge... he would be a killer on that judges table!!!!!
All the pros are great dancers but Derek has brought a new excitement to the show and now the other pros are stepping up so the show is more exciting all the way around.
Oh, and I love Anna! She is so fierce!! Miss to watch her dance... So week 8, are there trio dances? Jake I agree so much with you!! Anna for guest judge!!! :D

I love everyone on this show, but Jake and Anna are my faves. Jake is just so enthusiastic and Anna is just so brutally honest. Love them!
Great show!-but was over way too soon. So happy to see Lindsey & Whitney on dwts & thoroughly enjoyed their input on this show. Anna T-very expressive face -might make great actress as 2nd career-great input as usual Her expressions this week esp. when talking about scoring were hilarious. Also, I'm really enjoying Jake's input even more lately. Thanks again KB for great guests! Also great hosting...as usual! :)
Also, just a bit of a correction: they didn't actually say "Someone from Team Spooky Bom Bom is going home!" They said "Based on the scores so far - someone from Team Spooky Bom Bom is at the bottom. HOWEVER - that could change after the team dance scores get factored in." Still kind of a dick move, but I think they did it to try and motivate the members of that team to really sell their performance.

Thanks for the info Kristyn! I've been dying to know. Heading to the website now. You ladies and Jake did another amazing show. My week is never complete without you all. Unfortunately, I'm never able to hear it live coz I'm on the east coast and the timing is just difficult so I'm really grateful for the youtube video. But that's OK coz it's so much better seeing your faces :)
Amber and Derek killed that paso!! Go Team Roughley!! Foxing Awesome were created, in sync, and not stiff. Spooky Bom although it was also creative, and had more tricks, the two weaker dancers were stiff. So 27 is a great score for them considering who they had on the team. The other team had stronger dancers. Still don't understand Val and his partner for picking that way.

I definitely do know what the word biased means, and the definition means to be unfairly prejudiced either for or against something or someone. And I am not unfairly for him. Derek is my favorite pro. He inspires me to dance and still inspires me to want to choreograph. I have to share my opinion and respect for him because that's how I genuinely feel. I give my honest critique of all the contestants and professionals, but Derek will always be my #1 because he is one of my main inspirations.

I agree, I think that team spooky bom bom was underscored. I thought both dances were equally great, however, I thought that team foxing awesome had more energy. & I think that it had to do with them telling them that one if them was going home right before they danced! Also, this week I thought that Leah should have gone, yes she has a great personality but it feels as if her energy decreases when she dances. love your guys show btw! :)
If you don't like the show, than you don't need to keep watching. You may not like Derek, but everyone on this show has actually danced in their lives so they understand choreography and technique and that he brings the best out of his partner. They haven't brought up Derek unless it's been relevant to the convo. Derek has brought up the level of choreo on DWTS as all pros now are attempting to get on his level, which many of them have. Hate Derek, but he's helped make DWTS what it is today.

Great show as usual!! Suri, I'm totally with you about the costumes Elizabeth wears. I don't know why. About comparing Leah with Kirstie was good, but I think Leah is better. In any other season she would be great, but this season is not enough by comparison. Love Bill's personality. Amber and Corbin are amazing, although Amber may have an edge due to Derek's choreo, but also a default because of Derek (he always wins!). team foxing awesome was EPIC! I think Brant or Elizabeth will go next week

Hiding flaws is part of choreography. A choreographers job is to make their dancer look the best they possibly can by hiding what they're not as good at and intensifying what they're best at. Whether you recognize it or not, ALL pros do this (or attempt to do this). Many professionals in the ballroom world have said the same thing. They're all being taught proper steps, but why would you create a piece that doesn't showcase them in the best way possible?

Why does everyone think there is going to be a double elimination? This season is a week longer than last year so they could have planned to do a non elimination week and have the final be 4 people again. Think about it how would they have done the team dances this week if it were an odd number of couples.

Actually, ratings are up - it was the #1 show on Monday night. Beat "The Voice". It's also up in year-to-year total viewers and key demographic viewers (18-49). Maybe check your sources next time...
Liz, a self-proclaimed Jazz dancer, is assigned Jazz this coming week, after already having Contemporary, on an immunity week. I'm sorry, at least try and pretend like this show isn't rigged. I think the producers know which PROS they want in the finale and I think they want a re-match with Val and Derek and I suppose Karina. While I LOVE Bill and would love to see him make it to the finals I don't know if they want a new pro (Emma) in the finals when you have pros like Val and Karina around.
Love this week's chat!!! So many great comments! Was Suri saying she thinks they finagled it to have Snooki go home even though that's not what the scores/votes would reflect? Very sorry to see her go :( Scoring has lost its respectability with me, so I don't even wait to hear scores anymore. And lastly, I wish I had gone to highschool with Jake DuPree- he is so much fun! .
I have a feeling that Elizabeth and Brant will go home before bill and Leah. Leah is like Kristi, she has that fan base she is friends with big stars like Chelsea and J.lo. Bill is like season eight Ty Murray he is funny and has a great personality that people like. And the country acts have a big fan base. It's like when season 10 contestant kyle Massey made it to the top two because of his personality and effort and likability.
I think Karina's doing an amazing job with Corbin, but I wish there was some way there could be a female pro version of Derek as his partner. This phrase gets thrown around a lot, but he actually looks like a pro to me when he dances. If there was a way for Derek to choreograph for Corbin, he would be absolutely unbeatable. There's really nothing to criticize about his dancing. I'm willing to bet none of Derek's trophy winners, except Nicole S., would have won if he hadn't been their partner.

If you go to the Today show website, Val explains why he picked Bill first. I actually think it was a strategy that worked well for the team.
As far as I'm concerned you could just have Henry on every week I adore him
People, it's easy. All the pros are professinal dancers, with win in dancing championships all around the world. For choreography, a totally diferent thing, anly Derek has an emmy for outstanding choreography. Choreogrphers don't necessarily are dancers, like Sonja Tayev. Derek happens to be both an amazing dancer and an amazing choreographer. The other pros are amazing dancers, but not outstanding choreographers.

Sorry, but there's also a flaw in your comment.
First off, I will wholeheartedly admit I'm a Derek fan. I will also wholeheartedly admit that he's done routines that I've hated. Is that a "reason" to suddenly think he isn't a great dancer/choreographer?
These guys are extremely fair. In weeks prior, they've criticized Derek and Amber's dances, and fairly so. Their jive WAS lackluster at best. That being said, their paso was great, so why not talk about how great it was?
Bias= preference, opinion, inclination.
It's AfterbuzzTV not Sesame Street, the "Everybody is my BFF! Everybody is a winner!" does not imply here. They don't have to be "fair", just they share their opinions. If they think that Derek's choregraphies and Amber are awesome, then so what? If they also think that Val's choreographies and Elisabeth can be better, again so what! Why is it so hard to get?
I'm starting to think Jack might go before Leah and Bill. While I love him and think he's really improving I just don't think he'll get high enough scores to overtake the votes I think Bill and Leah are getting. The producers/judges really seem to want Liz to stick around so I don't foresee a final without her in it. I don't really think she's getting the votes, which is why she's usually over scored and propped. I think she's a great dancer but I just don't personally connect with her.

Derek is a true inspiration in my life. I have been a fan of his since the day he first appeared on DWTS. I will always love him and his choreography. I'm a fan with an opinion, just like everyone else!
Wow, really? Amber has some of the best Latin technique out of all the contestants. I'm sure she learned that on her own.
Also, Amber hasn't even done quickstep.
Derek choreographs to the music, and his reasoning makes sense. Why try to fit a dance to a song that doesn't work? It'll just end up looking bad on the whole. The pros don't have power over anything except the choreography (and if this week's interview is anything to go by, even that's in question), so they do what they can.

Still…..we knew someone from that team was going home. Honestly, it was implied and ABC knew it.

Yep, this is not a dancing competition anymore compared to previous seasons, it is an entertainment/popularity contest. I find that maybe a reason to watch now is Bill, funny guy, and Leah, drama/unpredictability. I can't wait to hear Leah tell someone off on national TV. Everyone else is boring for reality TV. Ratings are getting worst and overall dancing/singing reality shows are not as interesting anymore.
Elizabeth and Val have a lot of fans and are getting the votes. If you followed them you would know.

What's the point with whining about Derek every day? Especially when really you are just butthurt because people disagree with you, refuse to bash him and kiss your favorites' asses. Why not concentrated on the positive and rave about said favorites. Not one of your comments had been about them, it's all about Derek. Calling people's biais when you even more biased, worse you actually seems obsessed. Ridiculous.
Lol I'm not a Derek fan, I like pretty much every pros. It's funny how if you don't hate his guts, you're a biased delusionnal fan. What a basic and flawed logic!
The show lasts about an hour. They talk positively about Derek and Amber (I know the horror!) for 5-7 mins top, the rest is about the others couples and the troup members and it's also mostly positive. Why waste all this time on him when you can skip this part and concentrate on other talented people that make the show?

Then week after it will be a doubt elimination surprise with whoever does not go home between Brant and Elizabeth and Corbin. Then you will have Amber, Bill, Leah and Jack left as final four. Then you will have Bill finally go home with Leah and jack and Amber. Amber will be 3 because either Derek has an injury that makes her have to dance with a new partner or they dance a poor free style. And the winner of season 7 will be Jack Osbourn over coming everything to mature into a beautiful dancer.
Corbin is a good dancer but I doubt he wins it because he is a Disney kid and most of them even if they are good never have the fan base to beat out bigger celebrities. Plus he doesn't have a relatiable personality, I can not connect to him, he does come off unreal, like a lot of people are saying. Amber will not win because I sense Derek will do something like with Shawn to jeopardize that for her. I think it will go like this next week it will be Brant or Elizabeth.

Agree with Anna that this is not a ballroom competition but a TV show, and therefore I will admit that I want to see Bill, Jack, Brant in the finale! It won’t happen of course but the best dancers this season have such dull personalities, plus Corbin is just too good, nothing fun to watch because you know he is going to kill it no matter what. I enjoy good dancing but then I rather just watch the pros dance..
I'm annoyed with every time Leah dances they go talk to her celeb friends. Shouldn't the focus be on her not her friends?
