The thing I love most about this is that fact it shows that he's scared to come out even know he says he knows his family will be fine with it. I was almost cried telling my family despite them all being openly accepting. It's scary for everyone. Well that and the theatre teacher being amazing and sticking up for Simon and Ethan, because that was definitely my favorite scene-
Wish there were more depictions of supportive parents and positive reactions to their children coming out, I feel like that would set the standard and example of how they ought to respond. Eliminate the "What do I tell my kids" excuse.
