I saw the handwriting on the wall with the Champlaign towers. I sold my condo in Miami Dade in 44 days. I bought 3/2 quarter acre no HOA in Central Florida. Nothing near the ocean for me, insurance is crazy

Miami is the world's septic tank. It overflows north every so often. When I finally leave Miami I am going to a rural area at least 100 miles from any major city. Treasure Coast is not on my list.
Port St Lucie is getting too packed, being overbuilt and the infrastructure is not built for it. Crime has been going up especially since a lot of people started moving here from Miami. Plus the cops have been known to cook the stats to make it seem safer than it really is. Also if you are single & enjoy any sort of entertainment/night life, it is a terrible place as you have next to nothing available. PSL is not for singles that is for sure. Highly overrated city whose house prices skyrocketed & will crash as people sell off because they can't afford it.
Thanks for the comment . As far as crime My stats show different. Furthermore I have many friends who live in psl and found it to be a good place to raise their kids . For nightlife yes the city of psl does not have a lot of action. That being said downtown Fort Pierce and Stuart have plenty going on for younger folks that may want to hit the town .

Live here so unless you have money would strongly recommend central and or north Florida. South Florida is just a money pit attached with bad traffic and a lot of attitude.

Miami certainly is crowded . Vero or Palm Bay might be a good option for you . Let me know if I can help
